What Insiders Are Saying
This French bistro is the place to see anyone who’s ever been on “Meet the Press". The food is also delicious.
Excellent per usual- sets the standard for dining in the city!
Always a pleasure and great ambiance
My girlfriend and I celebrated a late Valentine’s Day, and we always have a great time at La Diplomate.
Food was great, service was perfect and the atmosphere fun
Dinner was amazing and the staff too. I proposed to my fiancée and everything was perfect.
Best escargot, steak tartare and entrees ever. Top 5 restaurants of a lifetime!
Trully a great experience. The waiter was very friendly and helpful--he helped us choose the wine--and the food was great--I had lamb, and she had duck.
One minor complaint: Not much pricacy. Not really the sort of place to go for intamacy with your loved one.
All in all, a great dining experience!
It was good
They were amazing (as always)! Perfect place for date night, especially on Valentine’s Day!
It is an ok restaurant. A bit over priced. Customer service is good. The food is just ok.
Great food, wonderful atmosphere. I love Le Diplomat.
I went here for my b-day dinner and it was exquisite! The interior reminds you of a European/Parisian bistro and their bread basket breads are absolutely wonderful.
Food and service was all on point.
W went there for a Birthday with two picky eaters who frowned upon the idea of French food. They loved it. The ambiance was great -- overall à lot of fun. Highly recommend.
Excelente como siempre!
The food at le Diplomate is always phenomenal. The wait staff is very accommodating, and you are their priority. The only bad thing about the restaurant is that it is difficult to get a reservation. So as long as you plan ahead, le Diplomate is perfect.
This was my first time at Le Diplomate and the customer service was exceptional and the food was outstanding. I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back again!!
Excellent food, service, ambiance and value!
The noise level a little bit too high in the middle of the restaurant in the first 10 minutes. Luckily the wonderful hostess was able to switch us to a booth on the side and the noise level dropped significantly.
First time to Le Diplomate. Had heard only great things. The place did not disappoint.
Service was exceptional. Food was very good.
Food, service and price are second to none.
Everything about our experience was great!
The service was amazing and the food was wonderful.
We got the cheese board and the “live scallop” for appetizers. Had the veal and scallops four our main courses and the creme brûlée for dessert. All were fantastic!
Our wait staff was great, and Chris the manager was very friendly and professional when we spoke with him.
The ambiance was lovely and we had an overall great time. 10/10 will go again!
This was our first time at Le Diplomate, and we will definitely be back.
We were promptly seated and served. The food was outstanding - great oysters, escargot better than most we've had in France, and excellent fish. Wonderful attentive service. Excellent wine list with wide variety and a wide range of price points.
Overall a superb experience. Well worth it.
always great This is our go to restaurant when we waNT GREAT FOOD ans great service..never disappoints
Awesome dinner for the family celebrating a birthday!
Nice place to celebrate a birthday!
Amazing food! I would recommend it to anyone!!!
Terrible and rude front desk . The lady was absolutely inappropriate
Not a bad thing to say. Went to brunch yesterday. It was our first time there and won't be our last. In spite of being packed, service was very attentive. The atmosphere definitely has feel of a French bistro. It was a bit noisy, but not bad considering it's a big room with a tin ceiling.
I had the boeuf bourguignon and my partner had the Clouseau baguette sandwich. Portions were fairly large and we brought home some leftovers. For dessert we split the millefeuille. That sent the meal over the top. Really yummy. And to cap the whole experience, the waiter overheard my partner mention birthday and at the end of the meal brought me a plate of profiteroles. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu.
Had brunch on 2/10. Never disappoints. Quiche light, flavorful. The poached eggs Basquaise were amazing on a bed of creamy polenta with onion "sauce" and crispy fried prosciutto bits. The breads are "to die for". The sights, sounds and flavors of a Paris brasserie without leaving town.
Great morning. Excellent service as always, great food. The only mild complaint is that the heaters in the terrace were running a hit too high for our taste, and while they did eventually turn them down, it was still pretty toasty.
Great food, great service.
Great food, but some of their tables are terrible. And the service could have been a lot faster.
Amazing food. Great service. Lively atmosphere. Must get the escargot! And the bread basket is unbelievable.
The burger and cheese platter were fantastic. We will be back for brunch!
Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Onion soup is to die for! Wonderful ambiance.
Pricey dinner for 2. Definitely not a place to dine frequently. Steak and frites - steak was burnt on the outside and medium in the inside. Expensive for the meal not done to perfection. The fries were the best part of the meal. Very casual place, open space, so noise level is loud.
Eggs cooked perrrrrfectly. Great brunch selection for whatever you're in the mood for (not just the usual stuff!) and yummy cocktails. Prices definitely at the higher end, but worth it for the food quality and experience.
We had such a great time dining here. The service was excellent and we could not stop talking about the food for days afterwards. The goat cheese was our favorite, although it ties with the Bordeaux! This was a perfect Valentine’s Day dinner, we will definitely be coming back.
We loved it! host and servers were amazing (Rick has served us the last three times we were there, a funny yet wonderful coincidence)! food was delicious per usual! We love coming here all the time!
Fantastic French food! Had four different main courses with our group - all great!
The profiteroles are a must for dessert - best we've ever had!
Amazing food and service. Authentic Parisian decor and taste. Pricey, but will be back again for special occasions. Loved the Warm shrimp salad and creme brûlée!
