Poor welcoming and seating
Foie gras was amazing and the service was top notch.
Delicious as always and felt quite secluded and private at our table outside.
I am happy to be able to eat outside and I hope that the extra seating remains a permanent feature after the pandemic.
Food was fantastic. Service was great with two young kids in tow. Outdoor setup was perfect.
It was great. We reserved a table outside for 22:00 on a rainy Saturday. This meant the hosts had to rearrange reservations. This was well managed. Tables were very well distanced from one another. Staff wore masks and customers had their temperature taken before entering. Customers are briefed on putting on their masks when staff approaches or when leaving the table. The menu was accessible trough a QR code and your receipt includes another QR code to pay through your phone. Great service and great food.
Escargot and Trout Almandine! Yum!
We were not asked how we would like our burgers. We were not asked how our food was. We were not asked if we wanted refills. If I’m spending $25+ on a burger and a Diet Coke- i would expect a little something more. And I understand during covid they do not want people to linger but the reservation was for the later afternoon so we could sit and take our time and catch up amongst friends and it felt like we were all but pushed out. The restaurant was 3/4 empty but they wanted us OUT.
This place serves the best cocktails!! The food was excellent as well.
Our Waitress, Adele, was very pleasant and patient with our group as we were unsure what to order. We asked her many questions but answered them effectively and respectfully. All in all a great experience!
Amazing experience, our waitress was very friendly, food was excellent, almost forgot I was in DC and not in Paris!
Had an 4:15pm early dinner ; were seated right away. Ordered the same dishes that I always had before the Convid-19 period; they were not as good.
Mediocre as expected for a Starr Restaurant in DC. Inconsistent service and uninspiring food, but lively atmosphere.
Do not miss Le Dip for lunch - excellent! Great service, vibe, and a delicious eats.
As always, excellent service and food. We were particularly impressed by the MASSIVE amount of outdoor seating they've provided, and the distance between tables, making it a truly enjoyable outing, in spite of COVID. Nice job!
Top-flight food on the street -- 14th street, that is! Lovely service on a beautiful day. Perfect place to go for lunch. Love it!
We had a great time on our anniversary. Food and service were great.
Love it, great food and ambiance!
The macaroni and cheese starter, the basket of bread with the french sweet butter and the gruyere puffs were excellent. The scallops were perfection! Every potato was exceptional. Drinks were great. Our server was meh.
Fantastic service and the food was cooked perfectly. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
I love the atmosphere even sitting outside.love the food. Service always great
Great dinner with exceptional service! We dined on the sidewalk which isn't the best ambience but that's our current COVID reality. Overall, a wonderful experience!
Seabass was outstanding among everything else. Service was also very good. We would definitely come back again.
Great time as always. Food was delicious and service was amazing.
One of the best dinner experiences I’ve ever had.
They were out of steak frites. The signature dish so a bummer. But other food was great!
The menu has changed, for the worse. There are no vegetarian entrees, and the vegetarian appetizer options (all of which I’ve tried in the past) are unappealing. My server encouraged me to have the ravioli in pomodoro sauce, which is obviously not a French dish and is also not very good (when I want Italian food, I’ll go to an Italian restaurant and have something better and more interesting). I had the mushroom tart, which was extremely salty and about 80% pastry, and the spinach side, which was as bland as can be. We had the earliest dinner reservation possible, but were told that the chef could not make the omelet that was available for brunch just an hour earlier (and had previously been on the dinner menu), because the dinner setup made it impossible for him to cook eggs. That was bizarre, and my gut feeling was that these changes must reflect an effort to cut costs. Unfortunately, there are significantly fewer entree options than there used to be, and the menu now lacks even a single, good French vegetable dish for dinner.
All French; all good!
Ok the serves good and understanding the menu good
Excellent Sunday brunch outsidr
We were seated outside, so the usual noise indoors in this restaurant was not a problem. Service was prompt, and the gougeres and the quiche were outstanding.
Nice to visit after all these months. Food was good but a little cold - might have been due to dining on a chilly morning.
This was our first time dining out since January-to celebrate our anniversary. A group of protesters came through and stayed by the tables outside for about 30 minutes yelling at the diners. We support the cause of the protestors and aren’t mad at them, but a waiter said the protestors come by every weekend; as such, I would have expected a warning before dining there. All of our food was served lukewarm-not the quality I remember from years ago. In addition, no one acknowledged our anniversary, which usually restaurants do when you note it on your reservation. For a night that was supposed to be special and enjoyable, especially first time dining out since COVID, it was underwhelming and overpriced for what we experienced. Our waitress was good, so no complaints on service.
We had dinner on Saturday Sept 19th 2020 at 9pm (outdoor seating). We also encountered the 30min protest. Regardless if you agree or disagree with the protests, the protesters were agitated, verbal and demanding attention of dinner guests. It was not a fun experience. Situation escalated very quickly. A few dinner guests that had close and disturbing encounters with protesters had to leave in the middle of their dinner. We did not feel safe. If this is in fact happening every weekend at a certain time, the restaurant SHOULD give guests a heads up or change their reservation altogether. We could not fully enjoy the dinner and safety was a real concern. Service and food were very good once protest ended.
We sat outside, great service and they done well with social distancing
Husbae loved the burgers so much he ate 2! Head was hurting all weekend. He said it was worth it. He don't really eat beef like that either.
My first quarantine dining experience and the food was great and the staff made us feel extremely comfortable.
Loved it. Everything was delicious. Love the atmosphere.
I am celiac and the server knew exactly what I could and could not have. The meal here is always exceptional.
