Le Diplomate
Go during the holiday, the ambiance is top notch. Amazing food!
We loved it! All met our expectations!excellent Food, Xmas decorations are beautiful, attentive service
Went for brunch. Too much cream with eggs; duck dry; salmon appetizer pressed too much. Fabulous bread basket.
Very busy which might account for the food being not as good as usual.
Great food. Love that they split up dishes if you ask to split. Top quality bread basket.
Great food, great experience, GREAT Christmas decor :-)
Went for a friend's birthday. She is from France and is currently studying in the U.S. and she had been missing good french food. She loved it. It's a bit on the pricey side, but the food was absolutely worth it. Good portions, and the waiters are so kind and attentive. Would highly recommend and would definitely want to go back for another special occasion.
Fantastic food and service as always! The staff went out of their way to make me a gin cocktail that I described and it was phenomenal. Special place.
Everything was outstanding. We could not have had a better time!
Hands down the best meal of the trip to DC. Excellent in every way.
Really great food and service!
So disappointing. This is my parents favorite place in DC but terrible service this time around. They didn’t even wait until we finished our appetizers before serving our entrees. Not sure we will be coming back...
The wait staff was attentive and helpful. The appetizer all the way to dessert were delicious. Will definitely come back.
Lovely dinner with particular attention toward our anniversary.
Brought my fiance here for dinner on a Wednesday; Was busy but still managed to get food out without huge delays. Everything tasted great.
Best date night spot. Impeccable service. Out of this world pastry.
We live just around the corner from LeDip (our nickname). We eat here frequently because it is always a great experience.
AMAZING. This restaurant was recommended to us by a local, and the food was outstanding. Mussels are to die for and the service was impeccable.
Love the scallop dish!
A maze ing
If you ask to split something, they serve half portions on two plates, which is nice. Only complaint is that we got sat in a high traffic area.
Escargot was good but it looks better if the shell is still on. The Burger Americain ... the BEST! Will definitely go back.
Always great go to
Incredible / consistent service
As always, top-notch food and service. The staff and servers are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and great at their jobs. The food is cooked to perfection (the skate had a perfectly crisped exterior with a buttery-soft inside, and the mussels were the best moules frites that I've ever had, either here or anywhere else).
Cocktails are a great mix of classic and inventive, and overall this is one of my favorite restaurants in DC. I've never had less than a 5-star experience here, and I'll be returning again in the near future.
Amazing. Always absolutely amazing. Foie gras is magical and the macaroni au gratin is unbelievably delish. Also, can’t forget about the best burger in DC. You can not go wrong with anything on the menu.
Food and service were both excellent. John, server was fantastic and Ray is the man!
Wonderful as always!
Food was meh but service was top notch . Too noisy and overrated
The service was amazing, the staff helped me pull off an elaborate surprise.
Anniversary - great!
Great service! Our table was ready immediately and we were served well and efficiently. Their brunch menu and breads are amazing. Even the coffee is outstanding! Highly recommend!
Great food! Our waiter was very patient.
No other way I would have rather spent Thanksgiving. Food was outstanding, service was good, and my wine pairing was great.
Turkey special for Thanksgiving was delicious, but they ran out out of pumpkin and pecan pies. However, they were nice enough to offer an alternative from their stock dessert menu.
Great experience. Thanks, Melvin!
Thanksgiving
Loved the thanksgiving menu
Great thanksgiving day menu from Le Dip! Never disappoints.
We have been to LeDiplomate many times; it is my favorite restaurant in DC. We went on Thanksgiving, and as always they were very busy. The food was good, but not as good as we have had in the past. Our onion soup was not very hot (although we did not send it back). Our entrees were also not very hot when served. I wondered whether they were short staffed and plates were left longer for pickuo by wait staff. The service was good but we did have to flag down the waitress a couple of times to ask for bread basket and a request for a drink replacement, which was done with no problem.
In short, the food and overall experience was not as outstanding as I have experienced before. That being said, we will definitely return! In fact, I'm thinking of Christmas Day if they are open again!
We had a lovely Thanksgiving, here.
