The romantic and intimate setting with stylish decor and elegant details, along with the skilled and attentive service of the staff, will complete the culinary experience of Chef Avila’s beautifully crafted menu.
*Four-course menu not offered on Saturday.
Disappointing to have been at Le Cep on its last night...sigh...what a shame that Fort Worth could not help sustain a restaurant with obvious quality, attention to detail, and ambiance. Hopefully we will see Chef Sandra down the road...
Love love love Le Cep
True elegance and beauty. There is nothing like it in the world.
We have heard about the reputation of Le Cep for a while and finally went to experience it and what an experience it was! We went with the 8 course meal and wine pairings to get the full experience. The first course was very good and each course afterwards got better and better. We had the best scallop and duck either of us have ever had. The sorbet and creme brûlée were incredible. Yes it was a pricey meal but it was also the best dining experience my wife and I have ever had.
Excellent (not too big) portions of perfectly crafted courses served by knowledgeable and efficient staff. Wine pairings were terrific.
Thank you for all the amazing evenings. Your food and customer care were above all others in Fort worth. It was always a memorable dinner of the highest quality.
By far one of the best restaurants in DFW. So sad that they are closing.
Amazing dining experience. Tracy will take care of whatever you need. Chef Sandra is a genius.
As first timers, we found Le Cep provided impeccable service and amazing food. As Chicago natives, we would equate LeCep to Charlie Trotters, only the value was substantially higher. The eight course tasting menu combined with the wine were amazing. From course-to-course, almost each plate outdid the previous. The wait staff service was amongst the most attentive we have ever experienced. The scallop on avocado mousse was literally plate licking good. Fortunately, the freshly baked warm bread was suitable for just that purpose. The gazpacho was similarly sopped up. As displaced Chicago foodies, we highly recommend Le Cep and we look forward to our next visit!
We were told by the waiters that Le Cep will close for good on September 7th.
What a shock!!!!!!
A wonderful experience with great food, wine and service!
This was an awesome experience. The chef is wonderful. I love Sandra's sauces and all of the little extra attention she gave to her service and food. We consider ourselves foodies and she's rising to the top with the best of the best in DFW! Definitely make this a date night in your near future.
Wow, what a great meal. Such talent and style that was evident begging to the end. Sandra and the kitchen staff make a memorable dinner of the highest quality. Tracy and the service team make it an outstanding experience. Get the pairing and you will nor be dissapointed.
The food and service are always impeccable. Everyone is truly dedicated to making sure you have an amazing experience. The menu is constantly changing and innovative. If you have time (and are hungry) go for the 8-course tasting menu and cheese tasting!
This is a truly amazing dining experience. The food is delicious. It is accessible for most palates, yet complex enough for the more adventurous diner, executed perfectly, and the service is outstanding. The wine pairings were perfection with the current menu.
Excellent selection. Superb service.
Over the top tonight with the wine pairings on target for each course. Exceptional dining experience.
Outstanding dining for those looking for something special.
If you don't know what impeccable means, you will after dining at Le Cep. It was a wonderful experience and the service and food was flawless. It is on the expensive side, but it is worth it for a special occasion. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. The entire staff works together to serve you and they are all friendly. All the courses were described in great detail and the presentation and the tastes were superb. We had eight courses, all in moderate portions, and at the end of the evening we were pleasantly full. The French service and cuisine was just divine; it's almost difficult to describe. Most of the courses were new tastes for us, from the cold summer gazpacho to the halibut to the duck to the filet and everything in between. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy an evening with a loved one or to celebrate an event. Don't be in a hurry and savor every bite of food and every sip of wine. At the end of the meal the chef came to our table to visit and thank us for spending the evening at Le Cep.
We had a lovely meal for my husband's birthday. It was my husband two adult daughters and myself. We all had our favorite courses from the eight course tasting menu. Overall everyone enjoyed the food. Our daughters had the wine pairing and said all the wines were top notch. The service was great.
My only complaint about this restaurant is the dress code. I received a call the day ahead reminding me of the dress code and was told that it was " jackets preferred " for the men.
Therefore I told my husband to wear a jacket. I am in a wheelchair and it was over 90 degrees outside. My husband has to push me and put the wheelchair in and out of the trunk. Normally it's no big deal but doing it while wearing a jacket was a bit much. Then while we were dining there was at least one gentleman in a polo shirt. I don't care what anyone wears but if you have a strict dress code it should be across the board.
Honestly it really turned my husband off and I don't know if he would return. We enjoyed the meal but it was too pricey Since he was uncomfortable on his birthday.
My wife and I went solely because OpenTable had so many wonderful reviews... and my O my were they on point! This place is incredible, the 8 course meal was THE best meal we have ever had period. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for recommendations.
It was very pleasant experience and we all enjoyed it.
We will go back again to try new menu.
After having read the many positive reviews of La Cep here on OpenTable, my wife and I were expecting a fabulous dinner, and it was just that! After being seated, one of our servers brought the champagne cart to the table and we each picked a different kind of champagne to share. Both were delicious but different.
The restaurant has both a 4 course and 8 course dinner menu. We decided on having the 8 course along with the wine pairing. The chef doesn't like mixing a 4 course with an 8 course because it would leave the person with the 4 course sitting with no food, while the other person is eating the extra four courses.
It is impossible for me to pick a favorite course because each one was very different in makeup and presentation than the rest. The wine pairing was a success and we enjoyed trying types of wine we've never had before. The service was exemplary. We had two servers who brought our courses and served us the wine. They would explain what was in each course and chatted appropriately during the course of the meal. Both were exceptionally friendly and knew their food and wine.
Because the chef likes to keep the menu fresh, she will change the current menu in about 6 weeks. You can see the menu that we enjoyed on OpenTable if you look before the new menu takes its place. At the conclusion of dinner, Chef Sandra came by our table and greeted us and we all chatted about the food and what a great time we had at her restaurant. We are truly lucky to have La Cep here in Ft. Worth. It is most definitely a destination restaurant and we can't wait to go back again! Am very sad to read that La Cep has recently closed.
This was our first time at Le Cep and it was outstanding. I was concerned that I might not like some of the dishes since it was a set menu but we loved it all. It was a great experience. Also for the quality of the food and the number of courses it was a great value. Will definitely go back.
This place is exquisite! We have had dinner at few different Michelin Star restaurant recipients in France and Italy, and will say that Le Cep is to that level as well. The 8 courses wine pairing is designed to perfection. The staff and Chef are doing an outstanding job to make sure this place and service is worth every dollar you spend.
My husband and I had heard great things about Le Cep but had never been there until this past week for our anniversary. It exceeded our expectations. Our dining experience was lovely in every way.
Exceptional meal from start to finish. We have been to nearly every high end restaurant in Fort Worth looking for something to rival The French Room in Dallas . Le Cep does Alain Ducasse and the French masters proud with modern takes on classic, perfectly-executed proteins, and wine pairings that complement the vibrant and complex flavors of each dish. Highly recommend the 8 course with wine pairing for a relaxed and wonderful dining experience. This is the understated but brilliant crown jewel of the Fort Worth dining scene.
This is a very special place in Fort Worth. Make sure that you have plenty of time, as you would expect with any fine French restaurant. Servers are exceptional, chef will come greet you, and if you have any sense at all, you will be thinking about your return trip.
One of the best Duck Breast dishes I have ever had.
We think Le Cup is one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten and we travel a lot including France. How lucky we are to have Le Cup in our home town!
Wow. That's all you need, but for those who seek some enlightenment, come to le cep for outstanding food prepared to the highest quality. A level of service not surpassed in Fort Worth. Sandra makes food that is fresh, inventive and so tasteful. Tracy and his team will make sure you are served at the highest level. Get the wine pairing it is always so good.
The service is excellent from the moment you walk in the door- the food is fantastic. Chef Sandra and her team are a well choreographed ballet
We were looking for a Special Restaurant to Celebrate Father's Day, We definitely found the place. All I can say is this place was AMAZING !!! The Staff, the Atmosphere, the Food, the Chef. The Chef came to our table at the end of our meal and asked how everything was and if we would change anything, we gave her feedback and she was sooooo gracious and genuinely appreciative. I would rate this Restaurant higher if I could. Le Cep will not disappoint.
The meal was superb. I really liked the soup and the bone in fillet.
This was our 6th or 7th visit and the restaurant continues to impressSimply put dining at Le Cep rivals rivals dining at a Michelin Star restaurant in Paris. It doesn't get much better, anywhere.
Amazing food and service. This was our second time to dine here, and it was exceptional both times. We tried the 8 course Discovery Menu this time, and it was well worth the cost. Each course is beautifully presented and the pacing of the meal is slow enough so that you can truly savor each dish. All of the staff are very personable and knowledgeable. They're very warm and really make you feel welcome. The restaurant is closed for much of the week during the summer, but it's worth it to wait and visit them when they are open on the weekend.
My wife and I just enjoyed another fabulous dinner at what may be our favorite restaurant in Fort Worth – this time, we were celebrating our anniversary. While Le Cep may not have the ambience or the views of Thomas Keller’s high-end venues in Napa Valley (French Laundry) and New York City (Per Se) – after all, it’s located in what used to be the 4-Star Coffee Bar on West 7th! – we honestly believe Chef Sandra Avila’s contemporary French creations are on par, when it comes to flavor and presentation. This is a fine dining experience not to be found elsewhere in the Dallas / Fort Worth area: from the knowledgeable yet down to earth and amiable General Manager / Maître d’ / Sommelier, Tracy Gray (if he doesn’t greet you at the door, ask for him – he will definitely take care of you!); to the well-appointed champagne cart (a perfect start to any formal dining occasion); to the appropriately sized (yet well chosen) wine list; to the amazing eight course discovery menu that changes every month or two (my wife and I often can’t eat eight courses, so we each choose four that are different and share bites – believe me, you do not want to miss any of these courses!); to the courteous and professional service (in true Michelin style, with descriptions of every delectable morsel); to the optional, yet somehow always ordered, cheese course (with outstanding selections that pair nicely with those remaining sips of wine) – all is exceptional – a delightful addition to the Dallas / Fort Worth restaurant scene. And the price? Well, it’s certainly not inexpensive; but it’s nowhere near the cost of the aforementioned icons of gastronomy …and the culinary creations are honestly just as intriguing and delicious!
We went before the Cliburn Piano Competition. Jared was our server - enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Everyone made us feel at home and welcome. A must repeat experience, for sure.
We went there for our anniversary and it was really nice! Great food and service, nice wines and the atmosphere was just right. Well worth the drive from Dallas and terrific value.
This is our go-to special occasion restaurant in town. It's expensive, but it's worth it for the exceptional food an service. This meal was another outstanding experience on all fronts, we love this restaurant.
We went to Le Cep for our 38th anniversary dinner. We had been once before and have wanted to go back based on our first experience there and we were not disappointed. Chef Sandra continues to present a creative menu that just gets better and better with each course. Le Cep is truly a gem of Fort Worth dining. If you want a true fine dining experience that will allow you to experience the exceptional skills of Chef Sandra and her outstanding staff, then this is a must do restaurant. Dining at Le Cep is an immersive experience. You don't go her just to grab dinner, you go for the experience and to indulge yourselves with eight courses that can be paired with a wine for each course if you choose. Each course is presented and described to you by the waiters and they are more than happy to answer any questions you have regarding the dish. The dinner is paced to allow you to fully enjoy and savor each course. Each time we dined there it was about two and a half hours and believe me it doesn't seem that long. Time flies when you are having fun and eating very, very well!
When you talk with Chef Sandra you can tell that she is a very warm and enjoyable person that loves to share her love of cooking with you and appreciates each and every diner that visits her restaurant. In my humble opinion this is the FINEST RESTAURANT IN FORT WORTH. Don't miss it.
