One of the best restaurants in town. The frog legs and the mussels are amazing!
We arrived and was surprised as to the size and quaintness of the restaurant. Not what I was expecting. Back in the late 70’s when I worked at a French restaurant table side cooking was the norm. Hope to find that again. Getting back to our experience. The service and food was superb. Friendly and helpful. Waiting staff especially Heather very personable and happy. Made our day. What impressed me most was the promptness as dishes arrived. Not rushed at all. Will definitely recommend your establishment!!! Thank u for a most enjoyable meal!!!
The food and service is always exquisite.
Great all around
Great meal as always, great wine, good to see Nicholas!
Trout was excellent. Chicken dish and gnocchi were very marginal.
Noise level was extremely high. Very difficult for conversation.
Always great food and service. Love Le Bouchon. They need to do something about the noise level though,
Everything was amazing! Had a nice spot by the window. We enjoyed the escargot, steak tartare (my favorite), foie gras, and mussels. Come hungry because it's all very rich and buttery. Will need to return to get some other dishes we had to choose between.
Always excellent with superb service (Claire is awesome), authentic and delicious Food and an excellent wine list. Portions are generous. Desserts are decadent but worth the splurge. Small venue and always busy so reservations are a must!!
Very crowded. Like the tables were so close that my wife and I got elbowed by people at adjacent tables multiple times. Not a huge COVID worrier but this place made me nervous.
Food was excellent and waitress was also great.
Phil is great. Excellent food, great service, neighborhood gem
Best French food in Chicago! Vibrate atmosphere! The vest fine dining experience!
Everything was amazing! Great service, environment and the food was delicious! Everything we tried was good!
Amazingly good food. I had the scallops, my partner had the trout wrapped in pastry. The service couldn't have been better, and I'm very picky about this sort of stuff. The only downside, is the place is small and incredibly busy, so the noise can be overbearing at times. Usually this is an occasion for me to walk out, but I'm so glad I stayed, as the food is that good.
Amazing food, amazing staff.
Incredible. As always, impeccable food and warm and friendly service. Perfect choice for those who want an authentic French bistro experience. Highly recommend the duck for two. The Gamay selection was heavenly.
Great food, tight space. The only criticism would be the pre dinner bread could improve
Aside from being overcrowded and a bit loud given the current public health circumstances, we thought every bit of the experience was outstanding. Highly recommend any dish with their whipped potatoes.
Best French restaurant in Chicago! The mussels are to die for.
great place for romantic dinner or to dine with friends
Terrific experience. The overall experience was excellent. Their staff is a professional , caring and attentive team. Heather was one superb individual who insured our time there was an extremely positive experience.
The food was outstanding, too many wonderful dishes at our table to single one out.
Hats off to the culinary and service teams !!
This is one of the best restaurants in Chicago--in the entire world. My partner and I have been visiting it for over 10 years, several times a year, and we have never been disappointed. It is our absolute favorite, and our meal there the other night was right in line with our loftiest expectations. The food and service are excellent. Maybe the place is too small for some people, but we have never minded when the place was filled up, which is most of the time.
Close quarters, even if these were normal times, uncomfortably so during Covid, despite restaurant assurances that patrons would be spread out. Very noisy, beyond energetic. $4 oysters were very good but mostly because of how they were served; tiny tiny otherwise. As a New Orleanian accustomed to gulf oysters, I would not recommend. Not a good value for an uncomfortable and tense experience.
A Chicago classic. One of my favorite spots in the city.
Great selection of classic French dishes, with clear concern on changing the menu often, quality ingredients, and all-around great atmosphere.
Awesome experience, loved the vibes in the space. The small room and closely spaced tables reminded me of Paris. Food was spectacular. Will be back soon
Too loud for the quality I expected.
We love this place but would suggest not going if you want social distance or if you are sensitive to noise. All our food was very good except the gnocchi which was overcooked and generally just not a good dish. Service was good, wine list is great, and we will definitely return. Always do.
Use to live in the neighborhood, but when I come back to visit I always try to have dinner at Le Bouchon. All the dishes and specials are great for all diners' tastes. On this visit I had my 2 favorites - salad lyonnaise and the steak frites. Although I always order the apple tart for dessert, this time I had the fruit chantilly which was delicious. The staff are all professional, friendly and knowledgeable: Jesus (Chuy), Heather, Claire, Marcel. Can't go wrong.
Wonderful and unique to the city! Neighborhood gem!
Perfect. No more words needed!
great wine selections
great alsatian menu
Always have a great time at Bouchon.
Classic French bistro in the heart of Bucktown. One of my favorite restaurants in the city! The food is of the highest quality and completely delicious. The service is fantastic! Our server gave us a wonderful wine selection and didn't try to push up into higher price range. Overall a fabulous experience. So happy Le Bouchon is going strong in spite of the pandemic.
I’m in love.
Phenomenal food! I loved every single thing we ate, the menu is outstanding, I applaud the kitchen staff for delivering such amazing dishes.
My husband said Le Bouchon has the best escargot in Chicago. Limited wine by the glass but what they had was good. We got seats at the bar which we love and had a lovely evening.
Just wanted to say our experience at Le Bouchon was incredible. We came in on a Monday, from out of town and a friend had recommended this place. We were a 4 top and the only available reservation was for 9:15. Despite a bustling Monday night, the staff was gracious and sat us around 9:45pm. They could’ve refused us and been moderately justified with how busy it was. They didn’t! We had an incredible meal right up against a cozy window. We ordered a couple bottles of delicious French wine that we wouldn’t have normally went for but couldn’t miss with the half priced bottles of wine. I must say though, the highlight was the service. This is hospitality at its finest. Thank you Le Bouchon! You truly made our vacation in Chicago! I’d name staff members but I believe I may have been having too good a time (: Till next time!
Incredible food, absolutely gold star service. Shoutout to Heather & Henry for making this such a memorable and delightful experience ❤️
