One of the best restaurants in the city! Glad we found it; we'll be back!
Perfection every time!
We have been going to this family-run French restaurant business for 40 years (including previous named restaurants) and have never been disappointed. A true touch of France in Chicago. Highly recommended.
Best. Restaurant. Ever. I would come here everyday if I could.
We’ve decided that Le Bouchon is the best restaurant in the city. Great atmosphere, great service, and absolutely delicious food. Loved the pea soup, and the mussels are even better than Le Sardine’s.
Great dinner! Service was attentive and thoughtful. Mussels are incredible! Steak frites perfect. One person ordered gnocchi and couldn't stop oohing and ahhing about the preparation. Portions satisfied our biggest eaters!
It was good food and nice to go out because it has been a while but a few things like the tart were burned (black bottom) which was disappointing given that there are reduced dining levels.
I didn't want to complain as it was my birthday but I probably would try a different restaurant over coming back.
I would recommend going here but send anything back you thought was burnt.
Celebrated our 25th anniversary at one of our favorite Chicago restaurants. LeBouchon has never disappointed us when we visit. Tremendous food, wine and lovely service. Thank you to LeBouchon!
Always amazing! The best French food in the city.
food and service were both exceptional
Amazing quality food, a real French food experience!
This is one great cozy French bistro. Excellent food, service, ambiance. I will be returning again and again.
If you haven’t been, you’re missing out. Please go and support local businesses.
Granted we were there for a very late lunch, where there were only two other tables dining.
The staff acted as if they were more engaged in catching up with their peers at the bar than ensuring we had good service. Food was good, but I’d steer away from the gnocchi...took 35 minutes between courses but I suspect
our server forgot to put our order in on time
Good service, wonderful food!
Great atmosphere and food. The place was hoppin for only six tables. Perfect neighborhood date night spot
My all time favorite restaurant in the city! 👍👍👍
All I have to say to the chef is that duck was incredibly wonderful with the perfect sides. I can’t wait to go back!
Always enjoyable with great food and service.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in the city. We've been customers since it opened long ago. While we have moved out of the neighborhood, we still make a 30 mile migration to enjoy the cuisine.
Exceeded our expectations- and they were high! Still thinking about the meal 3 days later.
Great food and service!! Can’t wait to go back!
Always great food and service. We return time and again and are never disappointed
Overall we weren't happy. Got a napkin which wasn't properly cleaned. Brought my wife her for her bday. Neither of us enjoyed the fois gras (maybe that's just our taste) Steaks and fries were pretty salty. Service was okay. Not coming back for sure. I expected more with how much we spent.
Authentic French Bistro. The appetizers are amazing! French onion soup, onion tartlet, Foie Gras, and escargot were marvelous. Seared foie gras on brioche bread with apple butter was sensational. You could dine on appetizers and a good bottle of wine and leave completely satiated.
Outstanding service and food. Was my first time coming here but will absolutely come again. My servers were wonderful and helped a wine novice like me navigate their extensive list of French wines.
Duck sensational as always . Ditto the frites. But salade lyonnaise seemed a little off -- egg not cooked enough, not enough greens, not enough lardons, Very loud conversations, Unpleasant (nothing you can do about that I know). Loved the half-price pouilly-fuissé.
Great as always! I had Escargot and the Rabbit Pot Pie, my wife enjoyed the Trout En Croute, all with an excellent Burgundy. Maybe even nicer with reduced capacity. Proud to support this Chicago institution during these difficult times!
Were 4 or 5 other parties; all tables separated with a table in between each. Good atmophere, great menu. There were a few folks waiting a bar for table to clear. Service very good. Menu very authentic. Had Tarte d'oignon; a new experience for us, instead of onion soup; was very good. Shared Canard orange; was excellent; and with leftovers enough for several meals; Shared escargots: also excellent. Desert was maple flavored creme brulee; one of us liked it very much. Overall, very glad to go there for the first time after having picked up foods from them over the past year.
Every experience I have had at Le Bouchon has been outstanding. As good as a meal in France! It is such a friendly environment and the staff makes you feel at home. Mark and Heather were fabulous. The menu is carefully crafted so that you cannot go wrong! This is my go to place for special occasions and out of town visitors. Absolutely would recommend!
Wonderful menu, excellent food, friendly and outstanding service! Go there!
Delicious, and amazing wine list!
We flew in from LA. we were delayed 4 hours. Had to move back reservation....No problem
I choose this place for seared foie gras, no longer available in our state
It was delicious, as was all the food, bread, onion soup, loin of rabbit, whole duck , and fabulous maple creme brulee. I might go back again in thr next 3 days!!!
Still the best French restaurant in Chicago - and we've been to all of them!!
Always a great experience! Food and service excellent.
Delicious neighbourhood spot, perfect vibe and great bustling atmosphere.
Olivier Poilevy is honoring what his late parents built and at the same time taking it to a new level. With my 2nd dose two weeks behind me, Le Bouchon was our first indoor dining experience in over a year. And it was the last place I ate (lunch), on March 10, 2020, the day before WHO declared a global pandemic. Not only is the food outstanding (we carried out multiple times during the year of pestilence), but what really made it wondrous was the convivial spirit.
Service was on point! We loved all of our food and drinks :-)
