Service and Food were outstanding
Mother's Day. Evening dinner. Restaurant not busy.6 tables. 2 waiters, neither seem to know much about "fine dining ". Food was good, not great, but good. Appetisers came fairly quickly, but after one and a half hours no sign of main course. We ordered Beef Wellington, so OK, 30 maybe 40 mins ( we ordered as soon as we walked in ) the reason we were given for the long delay was that 3 people had ordered the same thing? It's a restaurant! After we had finished main course dessert was bought and at the same time the check, now their in a hurry. Altogether a very unsatisfactory experience.
Great food and quiet, lovely ambiance!
A terrific dining experience. Attentive, friendly service, nice wine list and lots of variety on Menu. Enjoyed two different bottles of white wine. Mushroom soup starter fabulous. Rack of lamb delicious, tender and perfectly prepared as ordered. Bronzino fish delightful. Comped chocolate moose desert enjoyed by all. A small, quiet spot in a small strip center off US 1. Easy to miss but would be a shame. Wonderful place. Strongly recommend.
Don’t be fooled by the facade of this restaurant, it’s nothing fancy from the outside but inside the food is fabulous. The menu had so many wonderful options. The presentation of each dish was beautiful. The staff is friendly and personable. I am a big fan of Beef Wellington, I’ve been all over the country trying to find a good one, I found the best Beef Wellington right here in Deerfield Beach, honestly, so perfectly cooked, high quality filet, there were no leftovers. The house made desserts did not disappoint. I’m surprised that there were no lines out the door, this is a quiet and quaint restaurant with a long history. I’m looking forward to returning.
We had a fabulous dinner here on our way back from a shopping excursion to Miami. We ordered the cauliflower steak appetizer and Steak Diane entry. They were both delicious. The wait staff was attentive and very helpful. Don't let the modest exterior fool you. I highly recommend dining here if you have the opportunity.
This restaurant is a keeper. The food is excellent. It's hard to find another place like that in the area.
Excellent food and service, very quiet. Will return!
Great food, service and ambiance
The food is excellent, the service was amazing. Will be back again. Chef creates exceptional tasteful dishes
The food coming out very slowly not sure about the wait
Great service. Delicious food
It was an excellent evening. It is a great place.
My husband said the lobster bisque was the best he has ever tasted. The lamb and beef wellington were fantastic. Most of all, the service was spectacular. We will most definitely be back!
Always wonderful food, exceptional service. A special evening.
Overall it was an enjoyable meal. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and the hostess recognized that when we walked in. We were seated at a generously sized table for the 4 of us. The menu was appealing, lacking any chicken dishes and an emphasis on beef and a few classic French dishes, such as escargot. We were disappointed that the 3 course fixed price menu featured on the website was not available (there was a 6 course tasting menu for more than double the price.) With 3 tables of 8+ in the dining room, the two waiters were overworked and service was not as attentive as I would expect at this price level. The food was very tasty, the Steak Dianne sauce was well prepared, the beef very well flavored, I had the short rib which was very tender. The cauliflower steak was a huge tasty appetizer. The diver scallop appetizer had a deliciously cheesy sauce. The mushroom soup and escargot were both well prepared and enjoyable. The only complaint about the food was the birthday boy ordered Dover sole for the first time and didn't realize there was a "gamey" part of the fish, which he would have preferred not served. The chocolate mousse and chocolate mousse were delicious endings.
The food was a work of art. Amazing! You have to try it. Small quaint family owned restaurant. We had the goat cheese and honey appetite along with the steak tartare. Oxtail and duck were our main courses. Dessert was the chocolate moose. I can't say enough about the food, just try it.
We went to Le Bistro because it is one of the few restaurants in South Florida that still serves Beef Wellington. You have to order it for 2 people since what they do is make a single large portion and give one-half to each person. The portion is quite large, I'd say it was 8-10 ounces of meat per person. Beef Wellington is usually a filet or similar covered in mushrooms and baked in a pastry shell with a sauce such as a Perigorde served on the side. This one was cooked perfectly, medium rare. If comes with some cooked green beans. We had a Caesar salad to start, very tasty. For desert we had the apple tart with ice cream, very good, not too sweet, could have used a bit more powdered sugar on the top. The entree is one of the most expensive on their menu, $44 per person for the Beef Wellington ($88 for 2). The remainder of the menu had some interesting items but this is the first time we dined here so haven't tried anything else yet.
Started off with the cauliflower steak. I did not know that cauliflower could taste this good. Everything worked together to make this excellent. The entrée was Scottish Salmon that was cooked to perfection. There was a nice crispy crust that enhanced this to the best I have tasted. The wine was a nice Pinot Noir that paired with both perfectly. The desert was a chocolate mousse that ended the night to perfection. Chef Andy and the rest of the team there made this a night to remember
This restaurant, located in a strip mall, is a hidden gem. Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The service was perfect from start to finish-not intrusive but watchful. The menu was interesting, with a twist on some favorites. The steak Diane was excellent, with one of the best sauces we have ever had. The duck was tender with a delightful sauce as well. Wines were good, and there is a nice wine list. Do not skip dessert - excellent preparation and presentation. It is expensive, but you get quality for your money. That is what we look for. We will go back and bring friends.
Cute little place. Parking is difficult but be patient. We started with the mushroom soup with loads of wild mushrooms in it very tasty. Honey goat cheese very small but very good
Entrees were shrimp risotto which was very nicely created and filling. Dover sole was out of this world. Nice wine list selections. Creme brûlée was average. Service was pleasant and attentive
Place is small and packed so make reservations. Entrees are a little pricey. I would definitely recommend this place. I'll go back
We had just the most outstanding delicious dinner at Le Bistro! We have been here in season for ten years and never heard about this quaint small restaurant with extraordinary service and fabulous food - and quiet where you can can enjoy your friends and family! The owners are gracious and friendly! We look forward to returning many times!!!!
St Valentine’s Day
The food was amazing as usual. The only negative thing I have to say was the new gentleman who was waiting on us, was a little rude. We had went for Valentine’s Day dinner at $85 dollars a person and he was rushing us. Our food was presented on a salt rock and he pushed us to remove our food so he could take the salt rock. Than after he removed it he immediately came back with another course. We never had a chance to savor the amazing food that was being served. I thought that was pretty rude, not just to us, but to the chef. I felt pressured and uncomfortable and rushed along, after I said something though he did calm it down, but I shouldn’t have had to say something. I left there spending $240 for the two of us, so I think it would be fair to make us feel welcome. We did also buy a bottle of wine, which at the pace the food was being served we wouldn’t even finish 1 glass, before our dinner would be over. It’s just common sense here. I will say again, the food is amazing and the regular waiter who is there is great, this unfortunate business should in no way impact your decision to go to this restaurant. The food is absolutely hands down amazing every time. The chef deserves to be in the michelin guide. I just hope this new guy was just there for the Valentine’s Day rush though! I always say it’s the best restaurant in Florida, Period.
Tasteless overpriced food and bad service. What more do you need to know?
We had a beautiful dining experience at Le Bistro. We ordered the Beets n Blue app along with a special of the day app, Trumpet Mushrooms and each was delicious and well prepared. We enjoyed the Beef Wellington for 2. It was perfect, cooked exactly as ordered, medium. For dessert we had the Strawberry Russe. Slightly disappointed with this dessert. It looked delicious but it came out almost completely frozen in the middle which had us confused so we checked with the waiter who assured us it was suppose to be very cold. It tasted very good but we couldn't eat a large portion of it, it's for 2, because it was frozen. Cappuccinos were made well. Our Sangrias were good too. Overall, we were very happy with our dining experience, the food, and the service. We will most definitely return to try more of their delicious food!!!
First time visit. The goat cheese appetizer was very good . The mushroom risotto and the petite fillet were excellent. The man who brought water and cleared the table was very funny and helpful. We will return and recommend the restaurant.
This was our first visit to this restaurant for many years and we were hoping the service had improved but unfortunately this was not the case. The food is good but overpriced for the surroundings and the service. We were offered several specials and then a few minutes later told they were no longer available, we waited 10-15 minutes for our drinks to be served and then another 10-15 minutes before our order was taken. We had to pour our own wine and the waiter nearly spilt my bowl of soup in my lap trying to serve it across the table. The quality of the food itself is good but priced as that in a a higher end restaurant with better service, we won't be rushing back.
Excellent French Food & service was attentive. Small bar area but very cute, we definitely would recommend it to our friends.
We were very happy. My lamb chops were over cooked and was immediately replaced graciously.
I wanted a quiet place where old friends could reconnect without having to shout over background noise..and Le Bistro was perfect! Cozy setting, very professional and attentive wait crew, wonderful food, nice wine list. I highly recommend it!!
Terrific spot - hands down best swordfish I’ve ever eaten. The chef convinced us to try the chocolate mousse on the way out the door and it made me want to stay and finish it! The hosts/owners couldn’t have been nicer - it was a slow night. I will go again!
Every bite just melted in my mouth. Fabulous appetizers, delicious dinners and authentic desserts!
Traditional French cuisine. Expertly prepared.
Not much ambiance but friendly.
Service can be overwhelmed with a full house as if is a very small staff. Hostess, waiter and chef handle it all.
Only about a dozen tables.
Everything prepared to order
Save room for dessert.
Very disappointing. My husband ordered prime rib that came out charcoaled. Caesar salad was a bowl of head lettuce, Parmesan cheese, and 2 anchovies. Swordfish was delicious. Very slow service as only 2 people waiting on tables, clearing, and serving. Very uncomfortable chairs. Would spend my money someplace else before going back
I was worried because the place was empty when we got there. But the food was great. The server was a bit inexperienced. But nice place. Would go back.
The New Years Eve 3 course dinner was amazing! Every dish came out perfectly done at a table of six with the restaurant completely full. Great gluten free and vegetarian options. Happy New Year!
I must preface this review by stating that this reservation was for a table for 7 on New Years Eve 2017, so I did not expect the restaurant to be "perfect". I was however, very dismayed, with how poorly planned and managed the restaurant was for what should have been anticipated as a busy night. On a normal night perhaps 2 waiters and 2 assistants may have been acceptable in this very small 10-15 table restaurant, but on a night such as this the restaurant was inadequately staffed. The kitchen was overwhelmed with orders, so we were told that we would have to wait for a little bit until it caught up. We waited so long that several of our party went down the street for a mixed drink (wine and beer only here) and returned when called that the appetizers were on the table. Our waiter was a kind and efficient young man who made every effort to apologize for the delay but the problem wasn't his to carry. His manager/owner should have planned for this and either have spaced out the reservations better or hired additional help for the evening.
While the food was good, it was not overwhelmingly good! The restaurant had a menu for the night ; appetizer, entree, and dessert for $75.00 which was very reasonable. However, the fact that it took a good 20 minutes for the waiter to come to our table, a long wait for bread after asking for some and then presenting one small basket for a 7 person table was disconcerting. Then add that during this extended wait, no one refreshed our water glasses or attempted to serve the wine. Finally, after over one hour of waiting, our dinner and appetizer orders were taken. Perhaps the food would have been much more palatable, if the overall experience of the restaurant had been more pleasant.
I don't know for sure if I will give this restaurant another shot on an "average" night but I will try to keep in mind that the occasion itself was the reason for my distinct dissatisfaction.
Good food a little overpriced. Noisey with party of 8 guys near by. Seemed like only one waiter for resturant
