Le Bilboquet - Dallas
This restaurant has declined a lot since May. 4 of us dined here last night, Sep. 13, and the service was very good, the ambience very good, the food very average. 2 of us ordered the chicken and it was very tough. A rotisserie chicken from Kroger would have been far superior. The skin was soggy and the meat tough. My wife ordered the overpriced Dover sole and she said it was good. The halibut was good but not great. I spent $400 including tip (just two glasses of wine in total and 3 bottles of sparking water for the 3 of us who don't drink) and would have been much more satisfied at a dozen other venues within 3 miles of Knox & Travis Streets. The chef in May must have left, the new cooks didn't get it right, we would have had far superior food at home. Good in the past but no longer can recommend.
The staff especially our server and the very friendly attentive manager who checked on our table a few times were excellent. This is our go-to for birthday celebrations and as usual they did not disappoint.
Beautiful dinner, thank you!
Loud tables. Men should be required to have pants and collar shirts.
Patrick was so awesome! Great service! We’ll be back soon!
As good as it gets.
Absolutely incredible! Great ambiance, and the food was delicious!
As always this is an amazing spot. Very nice casual but elegant atmosphere. The food was top notch as was the service. Will definitely return sooner rather than later.
Wish the wait staff would wear masks that stay on
Not the experience I was hoping for. Unable to serve lunch or dinner items at 2:30. The noise was so loud I couldn’t hold a conversation or even hear myself think. The food was ok but not French cuisine, overall not satisfied with the experience. Server never checked in on refills nor asked if we wanted any different type of drinks other than water.
First time and did not meet my expectations. Was expecting it to be nicer and more intimate setting. Too many people, very loud and too close together. The Cajun chicken was very tasty but the portion was too small. I’m only 110 pounds and I could have ordered another round of Cajun chicken. I would not return!
Perfect service, food and ambiance! Our go to restaurant!
Great food, service and cool music
Great brunch and friendly staff. Eggs Benedict was really good.
The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. The services provided by the professional management and staff are the main reasons that we keep coming back. The old world elegance is a rare thing, and we value their focus to make sure that everything about the dining experience is excellent. I highly recomend this restaurant.
Always enjoy coming here for lunch or dinner. Our waiter, Kyle, was fabulous as was the Maitre D. The profiteroles are my favorite dessert!!
Knowing the Bilboquet for years in NYC, and recently in Palm Beach, was trully surprised by the quality of the meal. For the worst
Consistently great service and food! Our server was excellent. Two very loud tables on either side was very annoying but our server made up for it!
I LOVE THIS PLACE! THE FOOD IS CONSISTENTLY TASTY AND THE SERVICE IS PROMPT AND PROFESSIONAL. A LOVELY UPBEAT VIBE, TOO.
Our meal was superb. Service was outstanding - highly attentive, but never an interruption. High quality wine selection, however not many American wines under $100/bottle. Pretty expensive: Dinner for 2, excluding tip and wine was just over $200.00 - 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 cocktails, 2 deserts.
Probably understaffed. Waiter was as nice as can be; but seemed overworked. We had to inquire about our entree because service was so slow.
The food was excellent. I absolutely love the Cajun chicken. Service was great and love the atmosphere. Definitely would come back.
Wonderful food and service!
Wonderful, as always. The Cajun chicken is a favorite, consistently good. Love the chocolate mousse for dessert.
Love Le Bilboquet! The Cajun Chicken is always superb! Beautiful ambiance and my go to for Sunday Brunch.
Always a winner
Service was great.
Very unusual to go out on a Sunday for Brunch. However, a wonderful experience. Excellent food, good service and nice ambiance.
Had Le Bilboquet on my list for a while and finally decided to try it for my birthday. Overall it was sub-par. The cajun chicken dish was by far the best - I got the branzino with Brussels - it was just okay. Nothing really special about any of the food we had, especially for the price. Chocolate mousse and the bread was good. Service was good and so was the location/ambience
Great service, great food and great wine
The food is fabulous! Could use a little more bread next time.
Celebrated my son's 21st b'day and the dinner was perfect- thanks for being part of his special day!
Birthday celebration brunch: The service, food & ambiance were superb. Vaughn was especially attentive and made our experience wonderful. Thank you all!
Birthday daughter’s celebration. The staff surprised her with a sparkler dessert which was so sweet! Loved the food. Great experience.
Great meal last night! We split mussels to start with then split the rack of lamb and the halibut. Delicious! Hard to pick a favorite. The restaurant split the dishes for us too. Can’t wait to go back.
Great food and service!
I'm not a Cajun food fan but the Cajun chicken was amazing. The smoked salmon appetizer was superb and the portion was extremely generous. Definitely enough for 2 or more. The service was excellent and so is the atmosphere. I highly recommend for an excellent upscale experience.
