Lawry's The Prime Rib - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
We had a wait for a little while to be Saturday, that is unusual know when we get seated right away but after we were seated miss Aries took very good care of us. We didn’t find out until the end of the meal that she was new to the Lawry’s family. She Was very professional and get great service looking forward to having her again as a server. The decor the atmosphere and the food were all excellent.
The prime rib was very good. It comes with mashed, salad, horseradish sauce and Yorkshire pudding. They didn't bring the horseradish sauce or Yorkshire pudding, so we requested it. Only the prime rib and mashed was very good. The salad was so so. We got extra sides. The creamed corn and spinach were very good. It's heavy like country home cooking. The atmosphere was loud and tightly packed.
Great place & I go try to go there whenever i'm in Vegas, but this time was a 3 hr dinner (7 - 10 pm) that was delayed many times by our waiter (who we all liked a lot) Mr. Ball... he had more tables than he could really handle & we suffered because of that. 1st time that has happened to me at this location & i'm sure it was because of SEMA show but again that was too long to be sitting entertaining my guests..
Since I was told this highly-rated restaurant would accommodate a business dinner, I made reservations. Firstly, we were seated in a freezing cold part of the restaurant. They have many separated rooms. Asked to move & they kindly did so. Meals did not come together & so they were good to take carved beef away as it would’ve been cold when rest of meals arrived. I had snapper & I should know it isn’t good to order anything other than beef in a “beef restaurant “, but considering the very high price for the snapper, I assumed it would be good. Wrong! So dry & outside was so hard, I could hardly cut. Was cold & dry.
Would not return.
I've been a Lawry's customer since 1965 when my father started taking me there. This was the worst Lawry's experience I've had in 50 years! Slow service, drink orders completely botched, two of my guests prime ribs had to be exchanged because they ordered medium rare and were given well done. Embarrassing. 2.5 hours from seating to leaving, seriously? The waitress never checked back on our table to see if we needed anything. I will never go back to Lawry's. They ruined a sentimental favorite for me.
Overall our evening was fine. Good meals excellent waiters good I'll Beyonce. We felt The diamond Jim prime rib although tasty was tough to chew around the bone. My daughter with her smaller cut could cut it with a fork and we're not sure of the difference. We've been we've been coming there for our anniversary the last couple years. I do enjoy the prime rib this time this will not detour us from next year will be back.
Local - Beautiful restaurant. Went for birthday dinner. Waitress was not very attentive and only visited table once during dinner. Dishes sat on the table while employees walked past numerous times. Drinks are unreasonably expensive like other strip restaurants.Markup must be astronomical. Overall experience was not impressive. The 10oz lawry cut prime rib was 5oz bone. Won't be back anytime soon. Been coming there since it opened . Disappointed.
I grew up going to Lawry's Chicago location and always loved it. Since moving to Las Vegas 3 months ago, I was happy to see a location here. My family and I went and everything was just as great as it was in the 1980s when I had my first dining experience here.
Reservations recommended but accommodating to changes in times. Delicious food. We had the Prime Rib Dinner and dessert. Cleaned our plates. Attendants were very amenable to special requests and attentive to our needs. Prices were reasonable for an upscale steak house.
