Outstanding service! Warmly greeted by Hostess staff, had a drink in the bar (friendly AND knowledgeable bartender).
Travis, our dining concierge and all around prime rib expert, was flawless in both service and attitude.
Special shout out to the bacon wrapped shrimp and grits as well as the perfectly carved prime rib!
Excellent service and meal!
We are long time customers 30+ years. Service and food always excellent.
THE BEST prime rib any where!!!
took my daughter to dinner...I had prime rib and she had lobster tails...all cooked to perfection...spinning bowl salads were cool, crisp and colorful...unlimited wine and beverage list...sides were superior and deserts to die for ( I had the ice cream and daughter had cheesecake)...service was supernatural..RENEE (or server) catered to our every dining want and need and did so cheerfully!!!!. We will be back soon !!!!
Lawry's is one of my favorites and continue to be a patron and bring new people there to experience the service/atmosphere.
Great Prime Rib and great service with valet parking!!!
The place is very nice and the service was good. My wife and I ordered the same cut of prime rib and mine was at least twice as large as her's . I ordered mine medium rare and it came almost totally brown with a hint of pink in the very middle. The beef was OK, but not for the price.
Wife and I had a wonderful Sunday brunch. Steak and prime rib were cooked to perfection...Service was supernatural (starting with Karen - the Manager who greeted us at our table and always makes us feel like a part of the Lawrys family)..Our server catered to our every dining want and need..the bus staff always friendly and very efficient...our carver put on a carving clinic. It's a dining experience we treasure.
It's always busy and there's a possibility of a short wait but the food, service and ambiance are always exceptional. Our waiter, Kennon, was amazing and I would HIGHLY recommend him whenever you decide to visit. He works Wednesday through Sunday nights and he is as good as it gets.
First time for myself and loved the food and service but the seating location had a lot to be desired. We were put in a back room with families with babies and they were crying and did not make for a great date night experience! The last few times I have made a reservation on open table I feel like they are putting us in a back room vs main dining and this is really not good!! I take time to make a reservation and want to be seated at a good table not in some overflow room!!
Great dinner. Dale our server was the best. Looking forward to going back!
The prime rib was good. I ordered the Rib Eye steak which didn’t look like a rib eye and was half charred. The flavor was underwhelming for the price of the steak; I was very disappointed. The ambience was ok; the place is starting to feel old and dated though. After being a long-time VIP member in California, it’s sad to see this chain’s quality in food and atmosphere deteriorating.
My wife and I love Hamburger Wednesday. They have a special price on Wednesday on their burgers. We get our burgers on pretzel buns with either truffle fries or a side of the creamed corn or spinach. Lawry's has the best burgers in DFW......hands down! Sometimes we follow it up with a souffle. We eat in the bar area and visit with our favorite bartender, Jason.
Great atmosphere...good food...attentive server. Great evening.
We both had the Prime Rib with spinning salad. It was excellent. Best place for Prime Rib in Dallas. Comes with Mash Potatoes. Waitress was excellent.
I surprised my wife for a dinner date and it's was a beautiful setting. She loved the whole settings and waiter. All the waiters and waitresses there is very professional and carry there self in the utmost high standing. Our waiter Travis is the best I always request him. I would recommend anybody to just go and enjoy yourself food and drinks. Thanks Lawry's for a special date night.
Wife had the salmon and i had the prime rib..both cooked to perfection...unlimited wine and beverage list...sides were superior...salads cool , crisp and colorful...deserts to die for...SERVICE was supernatural starting with Karen (The Manager) who greeted us at our table and always makes us feel like Lawry's family..to the server ( Ms. Miller is the very best - will cater to your every dinning want and need) to the bus staff who are always friendly and very efficient..to the carvers (Rudy put on a carving clinic table side). It is a dining experience we treasure. keeps us coming back each month since 1988 !!!!
Customer service was great , from the time we got out of my car, service was great .
Food was amazing like always.
Make sure you try the spinach side order. It is really good!
As always, food and service were good. It is Easter Sunday, so I expected that it would be busy with a lot of families. When I arrived, I told the hostess that I would be happy to be served in the bar, if they had full service menu there. She looked relieved (I know - hard to seat 1 person in the main dining area when there is a lobby full of large families waiting). Actually, it was fairly quiet in the bar and I enjoyed a great meal.
When I left, it was like an obstacle course to get through the lobby. There were young children/toddlers wandering around. I was walking toward the ladies' room and one of the little guys nearly bowled me over. His mother was busy talking, but she did notice and picked him up and apologized. No problem. Then when I exited the ladies room and tried to go out, there were several young girls outside the inner doors and they were blocking the doors. I waited a few minutes until they moved and then I carefully pushed on one of the doors. Unbeknownst to me, the same little guy who had run into me before had come up to the door and was trying to squeeze his fingers into the space between the doors. As I pushed on the door, he screamed as it apparently pinched his fingers. I hadn't even seen him and his mother was nowhere around. He was crying and I tried to help him, when his mother arrived and scooped him up. I felt terrible and asked if I could do anything, but she just said that he would be all right. Maybe this is a reason that parents should not let toddlers run free in the lobby of a busy restaurant, especially one like this one that is really not a dining place for young children.
So, the end of my visit left me with negative impression....although I recognize that it is not the restaurant's fault. I would not have taken my child to that restaurant when he was a toddler and, in any case, I would not let him run around freely in the lobby area or, for that matter, anywhere in the restaurant.
The food, service, atmosphere was excellent. This was the first time we had been to Lawry's and we will definitely be back.
Haven't been in about two years and went Easter at noon. The normal Sunday brunch isn't offered on special holidays. The food was as delicious as always. A disappointment was in the size of the California Cut Prime Rib. In the past, I'd eat the spinning bowl salad, mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding & a California Cut Prime Rib. I usually took part of the prime rib home because I was so full. This time the prime rib was only 6 oz. We actually left feeling like we could have eaten more. I think the Lawry's cut now replaces the California cut as far as size. I was a disappointed to pay over $100 for two, with only salads as extras, and leave hungry. I'd go back in a minute, but order the Lawry's Cut Prime Rib.
Jason is a great bartender, meals and service were excellent. The experience was so good that we might make Easter brunch reservation one year in advance.
Yearly, Easter outing
As always Lawry's exceeded expectations with outstanding food, excellent service, and a quiet setting.
Overall a very fine evening was had by my party. The staff was very accommodating and the service was impeccable. The food was outstanding and the overall evening was perfect!!!
Wonderful as always!
Lunch was great
No greeter or hostess upon arrival. After sending a nearby server to find the hostess she appeared with her cup of coffee and seated us at a dirty table. Asked three servers & hostess to clean our table. Kitchen ran out of the special & tried passing off smaller portion to fourth person in our group of four. Slow service though only one other party of four was in the same area of the restaurant. Manager conducted a server meeting/training session ten feet from our table while we waited for our food, ignoring our obvious impatience. Clearly the management of this Lawrys does not care about the guest's experience. We've been a customer since they opened (2-3 decades) but won't return.
Ambiance, quality of food, service and staff always outstanding. Thus the reasons I have no reservations in entertaining my clients/prospects for lunch numerous times each month. I am privileged to recommend Lawry's to many. -Lee
The service we received from all the staff was great but in particular the one from our main waiter. Food was of great quality and to the Lawry's standards.
We really spend a good time
reservation on time, service was great (hollie) including not having to wait around for the check. everything was quite timely.
I have always enjoyed Lawry’s. My first experience was over years ago at the Beverly Hills restaurant . Over the years, I have had dinner at the Lawry’s in Las Vegas and Chicago. In Dallas, I have the opportunity to dine at the Turtle Creek location as well as the current faculty off the Tollway. Over the years I have never been disappointed as well as the guest that I have dined with. Thank you.
wife and daughter and I celebrated our daughter's promotion last night. The girls had the steak and I had the prime rib..all cooked to perfection...sides were succulent....wine was perfect room temperature and full of flavor....salad was cool, crisp and colorful...deserts to die for (sundaes and pecan pie)...SERVICE sets it apart starting with MIKE and NANCY (The Managers) who are so gracious and ALWAYS make us feel like a part of the Lawry's family...to the wait staff ( TRAVIS THOMPSON catered to our every dining want and need and did so with charm and wit)..to the bus staff who are always friendly and very efficient..to the carvers (SAM put on a carving clinic for us). It's a dining experience we treasure. keeps us coming back each month since 1988 !!!
Always great food
I started go to Lawry's at the old location near Maple and Cedar Spring ? in the 80s. Most employees did not work with the company then, but found one who did and we had a walk down memory lane .
I told a friend about Lawry's and she wanted to go Saturday night. She was very impressed and we will definitely be coming back.
Had a great time !
Thank you Brian and Carlos. Did not get a chance to see Steven.
Lawry's is one our favorite restaurants. Always an excellent experience. We highly recommend.
Nice place for birthdays and anniversaries, but becoming a bit dated.
