Great Dinner! Amazing prime rib
So happy to finally have a woman carver!!
It was my birthday.. came here last year and loved the 6 oz. cut so I came back again.. the server asked if we wanted to upgrade to a 10 oz. i was not aware that the two cuts were so different.. i did not enjoy the 10 oz. very much for an extra $6. It was not as tender.. i was not as happy this time around.. and we spend almost $200 with tip.
Almost perfect! The service was excellent! However the food was too salty, especially the creamer spinach and the lettuce in the salad wasn’t crispy. We go every 5 years so maybe I’ve changed or it was just an off night.
Great experience great service and food!!
It was an awesome experience everyone should try once.
My investment club decided to have out meeting at Lawry's and it turned out to be an excellent choice. We thought the food was excellent as always. Our waitress was the best - very cheerful and fun. We weren't aware it was restaurant week???? but glad it was because we came that ready to spend about $400 more that we actually spent. The Prime Rib was excellent especially since I like my meat cooked well. The lobster was nice and moist - all and all - the food was GOOOOOOD. Keep up the good work.

Thoroughly enjoyed dinner and our server Ms. Thomas and carver Ms. Cori. They were both very attentive.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Lawry’s. We went for DineLA 2019, which was a wonderful way to be introduced to their famous spinning salad and prime rib. For DineLA, I highly recommend making a reservation. It was extremely busy and even with a reservation, we had to wait 25 minutes. We received exceptional service from Adam and Clifton who were our servers and Fred who was our carver. The spinning salad was prepped table side and the dressing was so delicious. The prime rib was so tender and flavorful with the au jus and horseradish. Our entrees included lobster tail, which was so tender and a perfect complement to make a surf and turf dish. For dessert, I chose the flourless chocolate cake, which was so moist and rich. My husband chose the creme brûlée, which had a perfectly burnt layer of carmelized sugar. Overall, we had a perfect date night and would come back for another special occasion.
Great food and great pricing especially for dine la
Birthday dinner.. fabulous as usual!! I’ll be back!
We were running 15 min late due to the freeway closure - after a long drive out to dinner we would expect a more pleasure host. But she had a bit of addititude. The meal and servers were great in the main hall. The only disappointment of the evening with the food was the burnt cream brûlée . It’s usually very good but this one was burnt and charcoal bitter. The staff was too busy . So we didn’t even bother to bring it to anyone’s attention
It was more crowded than usual, due to dineLA 2019, but that didn't effect the quality of service. The staff was great from the hostess to the carvers. They were able to deliver the same service that we're used to. It was a beautiful privilege to be able to have as our carver, Ms. Corey! She was friendly, outgoing, and even followed up on her service. EXCELLENT! Though one of our guests was a first timer celebrating her birthday, she's already talking about the next time! 🤔 Thanks!
Manager came over and spent some time with us. Had a nice conversation. Plus we always appreciate Oscar coming over and taking care of us.
Wonderful service and delicious food
The food is outstanding 👌. The servers are friendly and available. Quite comfortable in the seatings..
The special menu was exceptional with a choice of mixed seasonal vegetables as a side dish. The food is always superb and professional staff providing excellent service. When I think of Prime Rib, Lawry's flashes before my eyes. I rate Lawry's A+.
Service and food was excellent. Prime Rib was tender and flavorful.
Excellent Restaurant, one of the ones on the top of my list! Don't ever move out of LA!!! ;-)
Great food and service as always. A nice place for special events like birthdays, etc.
Perfect as always does not need to be drawn out to 50 characters
Waitress was too pushy. Wanted me to purchase wine and dessert. I Repeatedly said no. I Wanted information about Lawry’s VIP points. Could not get waitress’ attention. Finally stood up and blocked the aisle, so she had to stop. She failed to give me a good explanation about VIP points expiration. Not the best experience. Waitress said she worked at Lawry’s for over30 years. Maybe time to retire.
Lawry's never fails to present a wonderful dining experience with friendly staff, servers and management; along with superior quality food.
We dine here often, but this was an especially outstanding evening.
I’ve been going to Lawrys since the 90’s and i am sure that the food quality is going down hill. I used to crave lawrys but now I have no more desire to go back. Sad ..
Great Prime Rib!! Truly an amazing old style ambiance.
Perfect place to celebrate a family special occasion!! Best Prime Rib in town!! Coming here always feels like a special event. Luxurious at reasonable prices.
We are frequent diners here and even a VIP member. This visit we celebrated my husband birthday and although the food was very good, service was below standard. Our waitress Ms.Nancy never gave us our chilled salad forks nor did she bother to check in on us after she brought our entrees. After dinner, no visit from our waitress and we waited for 20 minutes until Mikey gave us our dessert menu and order. This visit became not so special since the service we received was below par. Hope our next visit will be better and back to standard.
My wife and I eat here at least every 3 months. Despite arriving 30 minutes before our reservation, we still weren’t seated until 25 minutes after our reservation time. Our seating was awkward, as were essentially facing the couple next to us. Given it was a Friday night, all of this was expected, but just a heads up, they stopped serving chips & meatballs while you wait.
Once we were seated, our 2 servers promptly introduced themselves to us and took our order, but they seemed to keep forgetting what we ordered, despite it being very standard. It was a 30 minute wait for our salads to be served. We had finished our salads and had empty plates in front of us for 15 minutes before they were cleared, then they brought out a second salad to be prepared table side again, and we informed them that we already had our salads and were ready for our entrees.
Again, it was well over 30 minutes before they had the carver come with the prime rib cart to serve us. The portions were disappointingly smaller then normal, with my wife’s California cut looking closer to a thick English cut and my Lawry’s cut looking closer to a proper California thickness, but with a mostly bare bone attached. Both were forgivable considering how hungry we were. My wife’s lobster tail that we had ordered with the first server and continually followed up with did not arrive until we were almost done eating, leaving us questioning whether or not we should just refuse it, but my wife chose to keep it.
Other than being seated after our reservation time, the smaller than usual portion size and the lengthy wait time for food to be served, the food was the quality that I expect from Lawry’s. We will still be coming back, and hopefully have a better experience the next time around.
Excellent service, Ms. Collinworth was the best. She's friendly, professional and very attentive to our needs. Ms. Coty was divine as well. Plus Marcos was always there ready to help. Thank you for making my birthday fun!!!
I have been going there for years. Consistently the best for what they offer
Annual gathering with family on my birthday. Outstanding overall as usual.
Great place. Great food. Would definitely come back!!!
Tourist galore but we had a great time joining in on the fun. It feels festive. I wish they had a dress code. Food was excellent and service was superb.
We were thrilled to see your first female carver in the history of Lawry’s. She was delightful to interact with and cheers to Lawry’s for taking this step. I’d go back just to say Hello to Cori.
Iconic. Impressive room. Disappointing service. Food was lackluster. Our carver, Corii, was a highlight.
Wish I had back the $500 I dropped on dinner to spend at Ruth’s Chris.
This was my second time going to Lawry's in Beverly Hills and apparently this place keeps getting better! They recently gave the whole place a facelift but it still feels like it has that 1930's charm. I've been to just about every steakhouse in LA and this is definitely in my top 3. The prime rib is amazing and the creamed spinach/corn and mashed potatoes that accompany your meal are top notch. Someday I may explore the menu, but for now I'll keep to the basics.
We always love it here. The crab cakes were perfect. The service is amazing. You get treated like royalty
