I always love Lawry’s. Their prime rib is the best! Always tender, perfectly cooked and delicious. They have reasonable prices for the quality and amount of food you get. It’s a great place for a date, family meal, special occasion, or just dinner with friends. Beautiful restaurant and ambience. Good service, however when it’s busy, service can be a bit slow... overall, it’s always a great dining experience here.
Birthday celebration and it was worth it!
Our server, Lauren was wonderful! We celebrated our anniversary and she made it a very special evening.
Overcharged me on credit card, put in two charges for one meal and tried calling and on hold for 30 min. Now have to put in dispute through credit card company. Clearly error on part of Lawry's without easy resolution
It was a good experience we were celebrating a birthday.
We were a group of 8 who go to Lawry's a few times a year. This was my first visit with the new menu. Salmon was very good. The Steak was over salted - almost inedible. The sides were very nice. I would recommend sticking to the Prime Rib menu or Fish.
You probably won't get this kind of review very often. We came to Lawry's to celebrate a special occasion and when we arrived, unfortunately, I wasn't feeling well....nothing to do with Lawry's. The best solution was for me to spend the rest of the evening in the chair in the ladies' room while the family quickly continued with the dinner and celebration.
I want to specifically thank Rianna (not sure of spelling) for kindly getting me a ginger ale and for the other employees who inquired about my welfare. It's the little things that make Lawry's such a special place. Thank you for your kind care and understanding.
The Prime Rib was excellent! One of the managers, Peter, stopped by our table and was very gracious. This was a truly memorable dining experience.
Overall very nice attentive service; made you feel welcome. Asked the right questions, etc.. wished we could have eaten in the main dining area, we weren’t asked what we preferred, and were taken to a back dining area that looked like it used to be a tasting room. It was nice, but would have preferred main room. Food was very good!!!
The food was excellent. Our prime rib was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The service were outstanding! We had a waiter for everything...our beverage order...our dinner...our spinning salad...our meat...Great!
I came here for my b-day and expected good food and service. I was very wrong and made a poor choice in a resteraunt. Bad service .Horrible food. I ordered the Larys cut I didn't like the food .The prime rib was not good the gravy is nasty . Our server was not good she never checked on us and we had to ask for utensil and knives .I will never be coming here again. They ruined my birthday dinner.
Excellent all good. Parking easy. Drinks great. Dinner and salad great. Service outstanding
Forget the money once in a while and enjoy yourself. Get prime rib the way you order it cut at your table. There probably is never a " we've run out" that is frequently heard at other restaurants.
As for the food it was better than home cooked and that's saying a lot considering I smoke prime rib for special occasions and never have left overs.
Parking was easy, making reservations was simple and necessary, the trip from Rialto was worth the drive.
Consistently excellent prime rib with attentive service, not rushed or overbearing.
Good food but the current prices just don’t make it a reasonable value.
Nancy was the best waitress I ever had at Lawry's.
I've visited lawry's for the last 20 years. Always good food and service.
So so good. Start to finish.
5-stars. Reservation was for 8:00pm on Sunday night, but we weren’t seated until 8:15pm. That was the only blemish on the night - it may have been related to my request that I made on opentable which was something along the lines of “please seat us in a nice spot - it’s my girlfriends birthday”. The area they sat us in was in the back room with much more privacy - the inconvenience was that the other guests in the back room was a large 12-person table with a baby so at times dinner was interrupted with whining and crying. Generally the baby was quiet, so overall not a big issue. Our special seating was right outside a room for wine so it was a unique view, although in hindsight I may have enjoyed the main seating area more for the atmosphere. Food was excellent - I’m relatively easy to please so take that with a grain of salt. I’d liken the quality to slightly below maestros for the classical (Lawrys cut) and a good step behind with respect to side dishes (the 4 cheese Mac that I ordered was lame - no comparison to mastros. The steak was delicious and the creamer spinach very comparable to mastros. My girlfriend was treated to a dessert for her birthday and I bought the chocholate cake - it was okay, I’d rate 8/10, did the job but nothing to write home about (wish they had some type of buttercake desert). Service was good, not spectacular. An 9/10 as they no doubt were attentive, helpful, etc but some minor slip ups were noted (for example when waiter came by I started off saying that we were ready to order everything and after we gave drink orders he started to walk away - I had to remind him that we were also ready to order food). Fun part of the night was when they brought out the silver trolleys to cut meat and also the salad spinning. Nice touch to provide a chilled fork. For $220 I’d have rather gone to Mastros, but always fun to try something new.
The server, very nice was late in getting the two orders of kitchen prepared items. They had to wait 20 min after the cart served the meal. One party sent it back. it was cold.
In town for a conference & toured Los Angeles. It was great to experience the history of of Lawry’s. Absolutely a unforgettable experience.
My daughter’s 17th birthday was celebrated with family and friends.
What a great place for a date. Beautiful atmosphere and amazing food. We felt well cared for.
Great experience. Service and care was great as always.
We were seated as part of the end table which basically was joined to another table . My daughter and we’re not comfortable and literally right on top of the next couple seated linear to us . So my daughter seated at the corner were basically looking at the next couple seated next to us .
Because if this it was loud and quite honestly was not up to par for the price and reputation I expected .
The remodel is nice, but the prime rib was not up to par.
I’ve been coming here for many years and always comment on how their prime rib is so much better than any place else ... except this time. It really was tough. At first I didn’t want to mention it, because we were there celebrating, but then when I noticed someone else struggling to cut their meat, I asked if he thought it was tough and he also commented that it was. It was disappointing - and since their prices were raised, it was also an expensive disappointing meal. Valet parking only.
Always so good and love the changes they have made to menu and decor.
Very good service. The waiter was very attentive and my cut of prime rib was the perfect end very juicy. We loved the birthday celebrations at Lawry’s for dinner.
Order came with bone in. Hard to slice. Waitress knew it was supposed to be for two. The fancy salad pouring was too heavy. Meat did Not have a
great flavor. Would have used real salt. The company salt too heavy.
You cant put a TRAINEE Waiter on a Family table and expect the Customer to be happy, not at these prices, not at this calibre Establishment. You used to have only EXPERIENCED CLASS Service. And then to expect a $60 tip is silly. [We don't drink, or it would be much more]. The place was half empty. The horseradish sauce was stale. OVERALL, I wish the experience had been much better, because Lawrys was a special occasion venue.
My wife and I really enjoy my birthday dinner, thank you all, for making my day great...
I arrived at Lawry’s at the time of my reservation only to be sat down 1 hour later. Other parties that arrived after we did were sat first.
Prime rib was just OK. Added sauteed mushrooms that weren't cooked all the way. Had to wait almost 40 minutes to get car from Valet - on a TUESDAY night. Been coming for years, but doubt I'll be back.
We have been a regular for the last 20 years at this same location. Very loyal and always brought new guests here to try. But the recent experience was a disappointment. The service level was non-existence, the server was rushing between tables and literally just threw food down and ran off and the 2nd server spilled an entire glass of ice water onto my husband’s lap and wasn’t never once apologized. My husband went his entire pants and she never once even offered to bring more napkins for him or ever said she was sorry. Then when I asked for extra salad since we were waiting a long time between our salad and meal, I wanted more salad to hold me over then to see it on my bill they charged me additional $9 salad that was half-tossed salad with spinach hanging off my plate when it was served to me and never once did they mention to me there will be an extra charge. The lobster tail served was cold and dry and looks like it was sat in the kitchen for a while. The portion Lawry’s cut was the size of a California cut - not consistent at all with quality and service. The chef who was cutting wasn’t warm or friendly. So disappointed in their service and quality. It has gone down hill. There is no hospitality anymore or warmth coming to this establishment.
Celebrating my daughters 21st birthday!
Superb as always!
We specifically were coming on the 29th as we wanted your advertised Rosh Hashanah dinner. However, we took a look at your regular menu and of course (!) ordered off that one. As always, delicious, and our server was great. Made the dinner and the evening a wonderful experience.
Our experience at Lawry's is usually wonderful. However, this trip we were a little disappointed. We had to wait longer than normal even with a reservation. The cuts of meat seemed smaller than serving sizes in the past, although the quality remained exceptional. My daughter ordered a vegetarian meal and it was not served in a timely manner. In fact, all of us who ordered Prime Rib had probably eaten half our meal before hers' arrived. In addition, our side of asparagus was badly burned and had to be returned. If I had not been a customer of Lawry's for over 30 years, I probably would not go back. I am hoping our experience on this visit was an exception to there usually great food and service.
Love this place - go as often as I can. Food is amazing and service is great.
Really great, but unspectacular. The prime rib and accompaniments were terrific, but not world class. The server was attentive enough but forgot my son’s steak, and the kids mac & cheese had gruyere in it, with a distinctly sour aroma (not kid friendly). Took a long time to get a ginger ale (also forgotten?) and to get our car from the valet ($8, plus tip). Expensive, but reasonable for the food quality and nice atmosphere.
