Lawry's The Prime Rib - Beverly Hills
Book your next event with us
This is one of my favorite places to go. I love going there with friends.
All 3 ordered the lawry’s cut medium rare. All 3 were wrong. They were medium. We returned only 1 because we were in a hurry. The carver had no personality and the waitress did not apologize for the errors.
Greatest dinner of my life, every time. It’s in Beverly Hills, so it’s a little pricey. But DEFINITELY worth it.
The food is good but not great. The servers are wonderful. Very over priced.
Sunday evening outing to lift the spirits before the end of the weekend and the start of another work week
The food was scrumptious and the service was outstanding. Next time I go to this location, I'm going to ask specifically for Zimmerman, who was our server. Not only was he patient, very informative and polite, he was also funny..thanks again for a wonderful dinner and experience.
Pleasant dining in a elegant atmosphere with very helpful staff.
Food was great - prime rib was cooked perfectly although a bit cold, extremely tender and delectable. Highly recommend scalloped potatos. Service impeccable!
Wonderful food and attentive staff! A great experience overall. Though it’s amazing after over 70 years in business that this place still gets overwhelmed on a Saturday night.
The General Manager is the rudest manager I have ever seen at a top restaurant. We had a 7:00 P.M. reservation with a special request. They didn't seat us until 7:35. I spoke to the General Manager Aniel Chopra he was was standoff es, not sympathetic to my complaints and told me if I didn't like it I could go to another restaurant. Lawry's employee's are not the same as they used to be. I have been going there for 35 years and the employees i encountered we awful. Then we finally get seated. they waiter comes over takes our order. We immediately get our salad it took about 15 minutes to get our drinks. I had to flag the waiter down to get them. He blamed the bar. I feel that he didn't even put our order in until I complained. Then we get our salads no bread. I then have to ask another waiter to get us bread. We have always received our bread first like all the other tables around us. Then the minute we finished our salads they picked up the plates. The cart with the prime rib was brought over immediately. No time in-between. After dinner the waiter asked if we wanted dessert. We ordered a couple of desserts. (I forgot to mention I had requested a special table 30 days before to celebrate 2 special birthdays, Plus I told the waiter when we first got to our table that we were celebrating 2 special birthdays). The waiter brought our dessert and coffee. No birthday celebration NOTHING. Then the other waiter comes over that forgot our drinks and reminded him about the birthday celebrations. He said they were in the back ready but no one brought them out until I complained. No singing nothing. Yet other tables around us had waiters/waitresses singing. Overall a disappointing experience.
It was a somewhat crowded Saturday evening. Our two guests were stuck in traffic so after notifying front desk, we opted to get a drink in the bar. The bar service was quick and our drinks came as did our guests. We decided to have our drinks in the bar (rather than at our table). After a few minutes of pleasant conversation I told the desk that we were all assembled. As a Platinum member we were called to our table quickly. The service was excellent as was our dinner. If there one down side to the evening it was one guest getting her Rib Eye steak served several minutes after the rest of us were served. It makes for an awkward dining situation. Other than that we always enjoy special occasions at Lawry's.
This was my 2nd trip to Lawry's-- it is just an amazing experience. The food is outstanding, and the service is top-notch. Love, love it!
Can't believe after all these years food and all is still excellent. The evening wonderful. Good food and good friends.
I always enjoy Lawry's. I get the Lawry's cut medium well with half corn and half spinach. The spinning salad is delicious especially with the seasoned pepper. The yorkshire pudding is delicious. Everything is worth the price!
It was my first time going to Lawry’s and I absolutely loved it!
Wonderful service! Amazing food. Enjoyed the evening very much.
We have just a wonderful evening with friends and family. We will be back the next time we are in LA.
The service was extraordinary and the manager, after engaging us in a friendly conversation, provided two free desserts for our table! A wonderful gesture!
This is a family favorite but disappointing this time. The prime rib was tough and not well seasoned. The rest of the meal was good but the poorly done prime rib overshadowed the experience.
Even though we had to wait an hour after our reservation, it was well worth it. Regardless of how busy the restaurant was, it was still a very ambience and very enjoyable.
Best Prime Rib and great service and ambience once you get seated. Parking and the waiting area is a total zoo and takes away from the relaxing environment the rest of the restaurant has. But if you can get a spot at a table at the bar while you wait the wait that helps a lot.
Went there for Mother’s Day and the restaurant was very crowded, the food and service was fantastic.
Mother’s Day dinners. I think they did over bookings. Very crowded.
I reserved 4:00 pm but I seated 4:45pm.
Food was awesome.
2nd best Prime rib in US. Outstanding .the service regular.I'll airways come when I'm in LA.
We were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation.
This was a great Mother’s Day celebration.
This place never disappoints. You get exactly what you come in for. And they updated their decor, so the place looks way cooler/current now.
Lawrys service was great. I had the Sea Bass and honestly, it wasn't the best. However, I tasted my daughter's Salmon and it was simply delicious.
We have been coming to Lawry's for 30 years and have always been happy with everything. This visit we noticed that the Lawry's cut of prime rib was very skinny and small. We left hungry. Very disappointed. For this reason I would not recommend. It's shocking to even think this about Lawry's after all these years.
Outstanding service & food for the price! Came early and they took us right in. Everything right schedule and service did not lack even though it was Mothers Day👾! Love Lawrys
Waited almost 30 minutes even though we had a 9 pm reservation.
The food is always so delicious. The service can’t be beat. I will always come back every year to celebrate Mother’s Day.
Excellent as always. The prime rib was superb as was the service. It was our anniversary and the staff made it special for us. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and will continue to visit Lawry's for a great meal.
This was our first time eating at Lawry's. Instead of our waiter, advising us on the menu, she made the assumption that we would just order from the Prime Rib cart, but I wanted something different. My date want the prime rib, so when the cart came I was advised that if I order something else, it would take 30 more minutes. Obviously, at that point, I ordered off the cart. I know why the assumption was made, but I dont wa t to detract from the morale of the story, which is learn your guest, do t take your guest for granted.
Its ok, we had reservations at 8:45 our prime rib was cold the sides that comes with it was charged " extra "except the mash potatoes, they ask if we want spinach or cream of corn that they scooped on your plate we weren't aware of those "extra" charges. Waiter needs to be informative what is included and what would be extra charges $21 for cream of corn for 3 and $7 for 1 person for spinach which was gross and cold. Just be aware what they will put on your plate before they serve you.
First time at Lawry’s and it was Wonderful from the food to the service! I will definitely return!
Had a great time and the prime rib is always excellent . Make a reservation as this is a busy restaurant.
Our last experience was terrible. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table despite having a reservation. The service was slow and inadequate. Our server was not pleasant and actually snapped at me when I repeated a request for refills. The prime rib we were served was actually cold which is surprising since it is carved table-side. It was very noisy as they had a full restaurant, but I don’t hold them accountable for that. They needed more servers, especially since they know ahead of time how many reservations they had.
The time to seating for a reservation is too long. If the hostess ask you if your party is all here tell her yes no matter what since it will take half an hour to seat you anyhow.
There are too little waitresses to customers at the price point. Simply not worth it.
The wait for the table was longer than we expected, but we were very pleased with the location. The food was excellent, but the crab cakes had too much mustard in them, at least that was one complaint: the others at the table didn't have that compliant.
