Gooood experience in last saturday. I recommend....Gooood experience in last saturday. I recommend....
We love everything about Lavendou...we never have to think twice about going here. The food and service is always excellent. It’s a place where you want to eventually try everything on the menu because no dish ever disappoints...one plate is as equally delicious as the next. And it’s so romantic...go there if you want to impress someone!
Always an outstanding night with perfect service and delicious food. We ok two couples and they can’t stop talking about it!
This is a place we go regularly because it does have great food & service, and a great wine menu. It is rather loud though, and often the meal is good, but less than 5 star. Tonight the roast chicken was perfect, but the pork tenderloin was very tough, I will switch back to Tilapia next visit.
Our favorite restaurant for celebrations or no reason at all. Everyone is always warm and interesting and the food is fabulous. Even if the food wasn't so delicious, we'd still probably go just for the staff.
Wonderful place to spend a quiet dinner with a superior selection of food and wine. Attentive service and well prepared meals.
We travel to Dallas several times a year to be with family. Lavendou has always been our go-to restaurant, and we are never disappointed. This visit was different. The food was not up to standard.
My wife and grandson had trout almandine without the crabmeat. The fish smelled too fishy. They were not able to finish theirs.
My grandson's wife had the roasted chicken. It had a good flavor, but was overcooked and dry.
I had the duck. Instead of being crisp, the duck was covered in some kind of gooey, sticky sauce. It was not up to previous visits.
In summary, we were disappointed in our meal and will think twice about going back.
I was with my wife and godmother who was visiting us for Thanksgiving. The meal at Lavendou was delicious with n excellent service. We are repeat customers and will continue to come back👍
Lavendou never disappoints. Took a while to get a server over but once that was sorted out everything was exquisite as usual. We both got the chef’s menu which is $19.95 for soup, choice of viande and dessert. All outstanding. Had an email for $5 off entrées so for $50 had an amazing meal with tea, coffee and cappuccino also. HIGHLY recommend
One of my all time favorites! Lovely french country atmosphere, attentive and genteel waitstaff, and excellent food.
I would come for the soup alone it’s so good! Fish is always perfection as are the sides, and dessert is always light and just the right touch!
Thank you for being what all restaurants should aspire to!
Excellent food, especially the duck. The service was quite good, although not outstanding. It was quite busy.
Really enjoyed our dinner. I had sole and my wife had halibut. Both were really good. Service was great. It was very busy and it was a fun atmosphere. Definitely will return.
As always, good food and excellent service...
Always excellent food and wine. Very busy so it's best to make a reservation. Pascal and his staff makes sure everything is perfect.
Never disappoints. Ever. and it's always a fun time with Theo!
Fabulous menu, food and service. Will return again and again!
One of the best meals I have ever eaten. Excellent evening
We come back here time and time again for some of the best French cuisine in Dallas. Food and service are excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Hadn't been in a while and found it just as good as remembered. Excellent food, unique menu choices not found elsewhere. Excellent service and ambiance.
Very gracious server. We loved the atmosphere. Don’t forget to try a soufflé!
We celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary which Lavendou made sure was a perfect dining experience. The meal, bottle of wine, and dessert was wonderful as always. Thanks to Pascal, Bernie, and staff for the everything. See you again soon.
Food was very good. My wife’s steak among the best she’s had! I enjoyed the veal. Apricot tart was outstanding and enough to share. Lobster bisque a bit of a disappointment and escargots were tiny and “ordinary”. Charming ambiance.
Was a good experience but it wasn't what I would call a 5 star restaurant, not that it pretends to be.
The Goat Cheese croquette salad and the Raspberry Soufflé' were both outstanding! DELICIEUX !! The ribeye with potatoes the I ordered was meh. It was tough, which I guess means it was overcooked or just the meat wasn't that great to begin with. There were a couple of sections of the steak that had a bit of marbling etc but overall it was not great. I found a hair in my mouth from the bread basket but I didn't mention it.
Otherwise, the service was amazing - Eric our waiter (adorable by the way) whom is from France and I got to practice my fluency in French with him, he was an excellent waiter and very personable and attentive.
It was very loud and energetic as it was packed which is always a good sign for a restaurant.
I am sure I will go back but next time I will get something else for my main entree. :)
Wonderful dinner. Pierre was our server and added so much to the experience
Wonderful French bistro with delicious food and great atmosphere.
The best food and service ever!
A. Maz. Ing!!! Like stepping into Europe! Food was fabulous! Talented live flamenco guitarist! Service was excellent and comfortable in pace. Do not miss it! Make reservations even on a Tuesday.
I've loved Lavendou in the past, but this time things were off. The service was very slow (granted, it was 6 pm on a Tuesday night and for some reason the place was absolutely jam-packed). I had trout almondine which was very dry, unlike it's been in the past. Wife wasn't crazy about her sole either.
We'll give it another shot, but if it's this way again, we will be dining elsewhere. There are too many great places in Dallas. This was one of them; I hope it still is.
Magnifique, comme toujours!
Lavendou is consistently FABULOUS. The food and service are impeccable. I highly recommend this wonderful French restaurant to anyone who appreciates great food.
Been going there fore years. One of our favorite places. Best onion soup in town. Main courses are fabulous. Our favorites include veal, scallops, fillet of sole, and steak (love that sauce).
A great place for a date night treat
Lavendau has a wide ranging menu of, beef, seafood, pasta and the best desserts in Dallas. The food and service are exceptional.
We LOVE dining at Lavendou. Robert almost always waits on us. He is very pleasant, friendly, & attentive. The food is better than it has ever been. We especially love the Steak & Frites, Profiteroles for dessert. The house Rose (Chateau Saints Roseline) is excellent as well as Raymond Cabernet. We had the BEST Celebration Lunch!
Food and service is always top notch. We dine a couple time a month at Lavendou rotating between Friday and Tuesday nights. Tuesday is kind of special with Patrick on guitar. This particular evening he was on his A+ game and the entire dining room was loving it.
We love eating here. We have never been anything but thrilled with our food. I can not recommend the scallops appetizer strongly enough, it is absolutely exquisite. I’ve had the tournedou twice, absolutely lovely. Always a pleasure to eat here, looking forward to the next occasion.
Your waitstaff approached several times and tried to remove our plates and escargot before we finished. When dining I believe we need to not be put in the position of saying no we are not finished multiple times. I hope this is accepted as a kind reminder.
We love this place! Wonderful food and atmosphere which never disappoints.
Steak was tough. Steak come with French fries and not a bake potato. Price of entree should include a BP.
After traveling for 2 weeks, we couldn't wait to go to Lavendou for a delicious meal. Service and food are always perfect. Thank you Pascal for this wonderful restaurant. The best in the Dallas area! And thank you Bernie, Pierre, Bernard, and all the staff for everything you do to make this our favorite restaurant. See you soon.
