Service was horrible, took 40 minutes just for us to get the check and it took forever for the waitress to even get us water
Food was amazing. Great atmosphere. Super helpful staff. The place was so amazing we went twice during our visit to West Hollywood
Food was so delicious and the staff was amazing. Highly recommend!!
Usually I have a great time at Laurel, but this night the hostess was extremely rude- sat us at a community table even though we had a reservation, and the entire time I was getting hit in the back by people walking through the packed room.
The food was great but the service wasn’t good! It took a long time to bring the food and they would bring in the food one at a time which didn’t make sense!
Great ambience, outside seating was surprisingly warm which was great. Delicious food
Delicious food, great atmosphere! Would come back any time
The food was not to our expectations for the price
The scene is vibrant and a lovely outside patio, would go to have drinks and appetizers only but would never go back for dinner again
A dinner at Laurel is always a treat- Nadia, our server, was wonderful. 5/5.
Totally Love the OUTDOOR section. Very few LA places have that when the weather is designed for that. Great layout, and decor. Nice Vibe
Wonderful experience. We were seated in the patio... It was gorgeous. I would recommend to others and can’t wait to go back!
Strange night with the hostess in the weeds and really scattered. We had made a reservation for 3 at 8:30 and requested a quiet table. Two of us arrived five minutes early and found a long line (out the door!) waiting for someone to return to the hostess stand. Ten minutes went by as she seated people ahead of us who DID NOT have reservations, and five more minutes passed before she even greeted us. I said I had requested a quiet table and suggested outside would be great -- but she said there were none available. Then she took us to the communal table and squeezed us in between other people, leaving no room for our third person. I flagged her down and reminded her we had a third on the way, and she made room for him, but still at the communal table with no privacy and not at all a quiet place, per our request. I texted our third person to tell him where to find us -- only to have him respond that he got there five minutes ahead of us and was already seated, outside, at the quiet table we had requested all along! Hostess never did apologize for putting us through all that...but aside from the weird hostess snafu that almost made us leave, we did end up enjoying the food, the service and the quiet ambiance.
This was so much nicer than I even imagined. The ambiance is so great, the crowd was so cool, and the service was lovely.
And there was a happy hour until 7PM, so we got really great food for a nice price on top of that.
Love the ambience, love the food-- but like some other reviews say, the service is very slow, and they weren't very accommodating with our table.
Great ambiance. Hard to beat actually. The food is good but at those prices i expected more. Just too expensive for what you actually get.
Hip vibe. Good atmosphere and good food! A pleasant surprise!
It took us a while to get here and we were very excited to try Laurel Hardware. Ultimately, it was a little bit of a disappointment. First things first, though, it is super cool. A converted Hardware store that saved the name, sign and, I'm guessing, much of the interior, it is a funky layout with a charming outdoor area. Seating is eclectic, and a bit uncomfortable, but not terrible.
Drinks were creative and pretty good, but overall weak and expensive. The food is creative and, while we were disappointed that two items we'd seen on the online menu that we wanted to try were not on the current menu. On the plus side, that means they source local and fresh ingredients and change things up, but it was a bit of a drag not to get what we expected. We tried 5 dishes that ranged from delicious to really pedestrian. The one item I would never recommend is the crispy ship dish. It was unbelievably dry and uninspired. Best dish was pork ribs.
Service is efficient but not at all welcoming or friendly. It's mot to say they are unfriendly, but they just do not go out of their way to welcome. There were a ton of servers and it felt like a team effort when it came to busing and food drops, but we were never asked how dishes were, at any point. Pacing was mostly impressive and, as mentions, efficient is the best description of the service. It simply doesn't match the prices.
The bar was absolutely packed as we left, so it's obviously a popular place and I'm guessing that most don't have expectations of better service.
While I'd recommend the place, we probably won't be rushing back. It was worth the try but there are many other options in the same category where I feel more appreciated.
Great food, poor service.
Great atmosphere, but rude host staff, super low tables meant for drinks not plates, and only okay food for the money. We love this place but we’re surprised by the way we were treated when we asked if we could move to a proper sized table.
Service was a little slow than night - but overall, ambiance and food are great!
From the get go, this was an amazing experience. They have the most amazing and helpful hostess (I switched from an indoor to an outdoor table); bar tenders and waitress. Food was excellent and the variety / fusion nature among the best. Music really good and noise level low but without compromising on the atmosphere. Can’t wait for my next experience at Laurel Hardware!
Menu is good; pizzas were good but not great. Server dumped our overpriced Caesar salad wordlessly after a long wait, and provided no serving utensils even though she gave us two plates. The wait for a glass of wine was ridiculous.
Food and ambiance were amazing as always
Everything was great. The ambiance on the back porch area was fantastic. All the food was delicious, especially the Branzino and Ceviche. The Garden G&T also 👌.
We arrived early evening & sat in the courtyard before the evening rush. Service was great & friendly.
Wine choices could have been better but were good.
Flourless choc cake was very dry but they did comp us that when we gave feedback.
Still a fave place in West Hollywood
Too much noise - my husband and I could not talk to each other without yelling. The food is good, but not good enough to compensate for the noise level.
The service and seating is the only reason why I'm not giving a full 5 stars. For a Tuesday night it was still very packed, and our waitress may have been overwhelmed, but she seemed like she forgot about our table for a bit.
Besides that, I loved this place. It wash my first time there. Sat outside and it was lovely, The ambiance and music was right on point. The food was absolutely delectable. I ordered the Kale Chopped Salad and we also had the Butternut Squash ( which is other-worldly!!!!) SO RICH.
I will be returning to try the rest of the menu.
Absolutely love the ambience and energy of this environment. Very classy, relaxing, comfortable, and grounding environment. The drinks were all excellent. My friend and I ordered and shared 6 different drinks to see what we liked best and loved them all equally. The Caesar Salad and truffle fries we ordered were so amazing! Love this place. New favorite spot.
Great environment. Love the space and excellent food choices...roughest part was deciding what to to get!
Super cute decor. Sat in the garden for brunch, which I highly recommend. The food was sub par and the service disappointing. Had to flag down the waiter several times to ring us the check, felt like he forgot about our table. This place has amazing cocktails, but would not go there again for brunch. Also, they don’t have a single dessert available during the day. Disappointing.
This was a 10 am breakfast. The food was cold and tasteless. They don’t have an espresso machine??? To refill coffee the server takes your cup Leaving the saucer and runs outside to fill the cup???
Our server seemed a bit dumb. Super cute and charming but she would’ve sold us the moon if we had inquired about it. There
We’re only two of us...one being a young teenager and she sold us way too much food. She was really interested in serving men and barely checked on us.
I’m allergic to mushrooms but she SWORE by the mushroom pizza without the mushrooms...yet wouldn’t let me add anything else. Just strange. I’m going to tell my frequent LA visiting friends to skip this place and go some place else. Not worth it.
fun energetic restaurant with good food and a creative drink menu.
It was so crowded and though we asked for an outside table we were shoved into an inside communal table with very uncomfortable metal stools. No one responded to our requests to move and we were shoved by passing wait staff all night. I will not be back.
Had an 8:30pm reservation for 2 ppl, wasn’t seated until 9:20pm. Hostess was very nonchalant.
Everything was well except that even though we had reservations, we were seated 1 hour after our reservation timd.
I sat facing the courtyard at what seemed to be a cocktail table - I believe I overheard the host say it was table 77.
First - the table was woefully ill-equipped for dining (I had to hunch over and/or hold my plate to enjoy it properly).
Second - the margarita I ordered was so incredibly diluted I could not enjoy it. Why any restaurant uses crushed ice in a cocktail is beyond me.
Third - the shrimp was lacking any real flavor and they arrived lukewarm. The bread pudding was very good,
Fourth - everything above can usually be redeemed by great service. Unfortunately it was the terrible icing on the cake - and I don’t blame the server for most of it. He seemed to have far too many tables; at one point I saw him maybe 10 tables in front of me, outside in the courtyard, taking an order! Meanwhile, I didn’t get water until maybe 25 minutes into my experience! (My cocktail was almost finished and my food was half eaten!!)
All in all - truly disappointing experience. Restaurants invest millions in real estate and design. And with staffing they invest the bare minimum.
Great staff and great food and they Accommodated us even on the day of the Grammys
