Laundry Ratings and Reviews
Creative, delicious food and cocktails. Lively atmosphere, beautiful restaurant, fun place to eat. Everyone takes pride in their craft - chef, cooks, bartenders, servers are all excellent. Good for happy hour, dining with friends and entertaining clients. Decent wine list and great desserts.
Great atmosphere cosy place. We opted to share a number of the small plates so we could taste variety. It was a great idea we loved the BBQ buns. The trout dip pork rib.
High quality ingredients and some original takes on dishes.
Good selection of wine by the glass.
Would definitely go back. We had a great night with friendly informed service
Laundry is a must for anyone vacationing in, or traveling through Steamboat... all plates are meant to be shared and the menu has something for everyone. Ryan did an outstanding job talking us through the options, and we ended up ordering 4 small plates (Pow Pow Shrimp, Pork Belly, Mac & Cheese, and Brussels Sprout Hash) and a gnocchi special - which was smaller than the regular large plates. He and the kitchen timed each dish perfectly and 4 of us left happy and very well fed! You’ll love it.
We went to Laundry with our teens and everyone loved it. The waiter was very helpful with ordering the right amount of plates for our table. We loved the brisket, fries, pork cheeks and pork belly. We could have lived without the short ribs and the mac and cheese. We will definitely be back!
I go to Laundry every time I'm in Steamboat, and it's fabulous every time. Excellent atmosphere, service, and the food is amazing and perfect to share (so you get to try a lot of things). My favorite dish is the pork belly served with biscuits, cheddar, and jam. It sounds simple but it's f***ing awesome.
Every dish was notable and had unique touches. We had the smoked goose, carpaccio, pork belly, Brussels sprouts hash, and the wild rice. The quality of the meat in every dish was exceptional. The drink I ordered - smoke & thyme - with vodka and mezcal was also delicious.
We enjoyed the evening, but it had one flaw. I ordered a glass of wine that the server recommended and I really didn’t care for it. I told the server that I didn’t care for the wine and he barely acknowledged my comment. I think I should have been offered a glass of another wine. The menu is interesting and the food is quite good.
Laundry was fantastic. Our waiter Dan was very knowledgeable and made good suggestions for drinks and food. He recommended the meatloaf special and we loved it. The beef carpaccio was the best we’s ever had. We also ordered the smoked salmon, crab Mac and cheese, shrimp pow pow and a charcuterie with wild boar salami, smoked goose and a fantastic cheese. Dinner for 4 was $200 plus but we were expecting that and it was worth it. We will definitely be back next year when we are in Steamboat.
The atmosphere was cozy and warm but not at all crowded, the menu was creative, the food was very good, and the service was very good. At first I was concerned that the menu would be tough for my 11-year old, but it proved to be fun and different from the “norm” and we all loved it!
This was our 3rd time at Laundry. The new menu was one wonderful surprise following another.
We had 4 small plates, Tempura Artichoke, Boxcar's Rice, Beef Brisket and a deep fired Shrimp that we did not care for. The blackberry cobbler with a Whiskey mist was to die for.
Service was very attentive but not overbearing.
We went here for a birthday. The service is amazing and friendly. Their menu cocktails were impressive, and anything you order off menu is as well. They have plates of cured meats and cheeses served with mustard and peppers; I would recommend as a starter.
The menu is structured as small plates all serving 2-3 people; you can pair small plates together as you like. We had three small plates; a broccoli special, the rice, and the smoked trout; all were amazing in flavor and presentation. The portions were such that we were too full to get a large shared plate after the meat tray and small plates.
Wonderful for a special occasion, date, or family meal. Good ambiance and great drinks.
Great place for food and drinks! We did the tapas style plates and shared five between the two of us. Our amazing waitor navigated us through the menu over four courses - we were stuffed by the end! Our two favorite dishes: pow pow shrimp and meatloaf special. Great place for adults to dine, but I wouldn't recommend eating here with small children.
Food and drinks were great. Appetizers were fabulous! The only disappointment was the presentation and food pairing of the Yellow fin tuna entree. It was piled on the plate in a most unattractive manner (think school cafeteria), with the Ahi on top of -- potatoes of all things. We gave the server that feedback to which he said "it's the chef's artistic creation." Come on guys! There was absolutely nothing artistic about that!
