Laundry Ratings and Reviews
The food was wonderful, service was great- however REALLY pricey, so this will be a "special occasion" type of place for us.
Had a "Pick 3 of Charcuterie Plate", Brussel sprouts and the open face brisket sandwich and two drinks. $70. Was starving about an hour later LOL
Absolutely loved everything about Laundry. We celebrated our 2nd anniversary here and are so glad we did. The ambience is wonderful, our server was so friendly, patient and knowledgeable, and every shared plate we tried was outstanding. Some of the best food I've ever had. The attention to detail is just incredible, yet the food came out quickly. Perfect night!
Great opportunity to socialize and enjoy inventive, delicious food through shared plates. Loved all the things we tried including both off the menu (pow pow, brisket, etc) and a special large plate of Osso bucco with goat cheese polenta. . Creative cocktails were well executed and intriguingly good. Reservation was promptly honored and service was excellent. Lovely experience.
My partner took me here for our anniversary dinner. This has got to be one of the most phenominal restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of going to. The ambiance was great, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the food...oh my god the food was to die for. Easily in my top 5 restaurants. I am going to be ranting and raving about this place for ages and I can't wait to go back to try everything on the menu that I didn't get to try last time.
Loved our experience! The food was so good. Although you will be tempted to skip desert, don't! The caramel dessert was amazing and just the right size. There was only one thing I would have changed, we were seated by the person who ended up being our server, it would have been great if she would have introduced herself, I wasn't sure that we should order from her thinking she was the hostess. Very small issue though, we highly recommend this restaurant and will be going again soon!
Small plates were quite good. My wife ordered 2 small plates and I ordered 2. Unfortunately, her 2 came out well before my first one, so she was just finishing her meal as I got my first plate. After waiting about 15 minutes for my second plate, I cancelled it and asked for our bill since my wife long before had finished her meal and my second plate was no where in sight. I recommend the restaurant identify when small plates are ordered by individuals and not for the table and that the plates be sequenced in a timely and appropriate manner. By the way, it did not appear that the restaurant was particularly busy.
Some of the plates were too small. But the quality and creativity were outstanding. Interesting wine list. Service perfect. This place does not work if anyone in your party will not share. Great addition to the Steamboat scene. We were there in late September and it was packed. Can only imagine what it's like in ski season.
We were not prepared for the setting nor the menu when dining at the Laundry. While the food was very good and innovative, the noise was deafening. If I had been there to eat with friends and have a good time, this would have been fine. I don't fault the restaurant for the scene, as I did not do much research regarding this so it is my fault for that. The fact that it was a Friday night was probably part of the problem also. I would very much like to give this restaurant another try on another day of the week, at another time of day, as I believe the overall dining experience would be better then. If you want creative tapas, wonderful hand crafted (unique) cocktails or a great glass of wine, this is your spot.
Excellent. Should be #1 restaurant in Steamboat. We went twice in 4 days. The wine list was amazing. Tapas beyond delicious. Hannah and Tristan were super servers. Friendly staff and very real people. Wish you were closer to where I live. I would definitely be a regular.
We did a lot of research before picking The Laundry for a special dinner and it was well worth the time. There's a plethora of restaurants in Steamboat, but this one is a must visit. From the unique menu to the ambiance, to the attentive and knowledgeable staff, it stands out among its' mountain dining peers.
Everything at Laundry was amazing! I looked at reviews of this restaurant prior to booking a reservation and the reviews were spot on! The drinks were unique and delicious (I loved the fiery margarita and the smoke & thyme drinks). I always love the idea of shared dining and the plates did not disappoint. Definitely get the cures & cheese option....it was wonderful! The hash was also delicious. They had a special there with pork, arugula, butternut squash, etc., and that was amazing! Great place with a wonderful atmosphere!
My wife and I had dinner at Laundry for our wedding anniversary during a long weekend in Steamboat. Can't say enough good about this place. Awesome selection of small plates and our server was incredibly knowledgeable about food/ beer/ wine pairings. The meat and cheese board was a perfect preamble to the warm greens salad and culminating in one of the best dishes I've ever had - Pork Cheeks. Wish we had something comparable in our town. Cheers to Laundry, we'll definitely be back!
Laundry came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who are passionate about food and drink. The food is fun and flavorful. Good variety of beers, wines and mixed drinks. Very enjoyable experience.
Set in an old laundry with brick walls, the place did get extremely loud once it filled up.
Was very happy with our entire experience at Laundry. Great food, the pork belly buns and the brisket were "can't put my fork down" good. Cocktails were good, great theatrics with the gin drink. If you love shared plate dining this is the best dinner in steamboat hands down.
Been to the Laundry several times before. This time we tried their Rex's Family card meal deal. Five items for a fixed price. Three of the five were outstanding - the cheese and sausage plate, the arugula salad (don't like arugula, but this was superb), and the bison loin. But the other two, including their celebrated pow pow shrimp, were only ok.
Service pacing was slower than we have seen in the past. Drinks, including a terrific manhattan, were very good.
Will certainly go back, but not do the Family special.....better to order off their regulat menu.
