We have eaten here three times in the last four months, it’s by far our favorite restaurant in town and our favorite place to bring friends and family who are visiting. We’ve tried most of the small plates and have ordered the bison and the duck large plates and everything we’ve had has been amazing.
Great place to share plates with friends. Creative dishes and great cocktail and wine list. My absolute favorite in Steamboat!
I recommend Laundry to people I meet on the lift! It is a special dining place with lovely food that is always reliably good and honest recommendations from the wait staff. I usually would give them 5 stars all around but this time my husband's bison was on the tough side and his dinner came out several minutes before mine arrived. Cozy and a fun place to have a nice dinner in Steamboat Springs.
Great food and a fabulous environment. Don’t miss this restaurant in Stramboat
We had a great meal at Laundry this week - possibly the best meal of our trip to Steamboat Springs! The small plates were great, and perfect for sampling what the kitchen has to offer. We shared kale salad (the standout), beets, and risotto. The large plate we had was a perfectly cooked piece of bison that was a real treat. Service was the perfect balance - attentive without being overbearing. Compliments to the kitchen and staff!
Our absolute favorite restaurant to return to year after year. Amazingly professional service and outstanding food.
Loved this place...great food for foodies! Left very satisfied.
Excellent choice if you are in the steamboat springs area. Eclectic and flavors to match. Excellent cocktails and decent wine list. You will not be disappointed.
Share the small plates! Love it here!
Food quite good, but some small plates are just too small. Had the short rib beef. It's like two bites.
Certainly not enough to share. My small plates experience is from various Spanish tapas restaurants.
You do get enough to share.
Food is delicious but the portion should get bumped up a bit
We ordered 6 items and we loved 5 of them. The one item we didn't live was the ravioli. Service was great. We definitely recommend going here.
We had a lovely anniversary dinner at Laundry! Amazing staff and creative, interesting, delicious small plates! Our favorites were the Pow Pow shrimp and the beef carpaccio! They surprised us with a dessert on the house in celebration- it was so lovely and appreciated! Perfect warm atmosphere- will definitely be coming back on our next trip!
Best restaurant in Steamboat for sure after trying all the others.
Excellent service, delicious food and very good wine selection in a chic rustic atmosphere. The brussel sprout hash is fantastic!
Great place to go for a fun evening. Excellent cocktails and a good beer selection. The small plates for sharing are spectacular. The service is first class.
Fourth time there and just as consistent and wonderful each time. Food is fresh and flavorful. The drink specials are always phenomenal. We can’t wait to eat there again. It’s the one place we eat every time we visit.
The service and food was perfect. Crab Mac and Cheese was Excellent.
We got there during happy hour for an early post-skiing dinner. The happy hour specials were great, ambiance was very nice, and the pace and order of the plates coming out was really well done. Definitely recommend.
Very quick and high quality service, outstanding food, and high noise level. Would eat here again in a heartbeat but too loud for a date.
Always a favorite when in Steamboat.Wonderful atmosphere, great food, and great service. Not to be missed but make reservations!
Casual but elevated, food and drinks did not disappoint and atmosphere is warm and relaxed.
Each dish an ensemble of artistry and tastes. I could recall each dish distinctly afterwards. However the daily special of Baramundi didn't measure up to the regular menu ofderings: I expected the almond crust to be more crisp, and the sauce (lemon mayo?) more interesting. As it was, the overall anchor of our meal was a bit flat. Still, would reommend to a friend.
Consistently great food. Small bites menu gave us a chance to try a number of dishes.
For all the hype behind Laundry, I think the food and drink fell flat. We received our first course before any drinks got to the table. I ordered a negroni that was shaken, a negroni is stirred. Afterwards I ordered the same margarita my friend was drinking but they tasted COMPLETLY different. Consistency in a bar is so important.
The food was really mediocre for the price. Most of their cheese selection can be found in the grocery store. The happy hour tacos were nothing to write home about and the crab Mac n cheese taste like chi-chis seafood enchiladas. Very very gross.
Maybe nice for Steamboat but Laundry isn’t great.
Lovely ambiance, excellent service and wonderful bar. The food was a mix of memorable dishes and an equal sampling of nothing special. We had a delicious bison tenderloin preceded by a “blah” spring mix smothered in poppy seed dressing.
Thanks 🙏 Chef Alex R (The Mountain Master Chef) for the great recommendation
A great night out. I would highly recommend giving it a try!
I travel at least 100 days/year so i eat out often but rarely take the time to write reviews. Based on the fabulous reviews we were excited to dine at Laundry. The service was great but the food was absolutely terrible. We started with Beef Brisket for $17. It's supposed to be beef on bread (from bakery next door), charred onions and a fresh egg. It was one piece of bread with not enough beef to feed a mouse; i didn't even see any beef. We also ordered peppers described as " blistered shishito / togarashi / smoked salt". The dish eerily similar to serrano peppers with simple salt; must've been like 20 of them. Who can possibly eat so many peppers; we asked to return those to the kitchen, which the server did without any problems. Again, our server was good. We then tried the beef carpaccio. It was loaded with so much herbs, oil, capers and salt that we couldn't even taste the beef. And, it was pre-made as it came-out of the kitchen in less than 2 minutes. Lastly, we ordered the pork cheeks in steamed buns with chili-orange aioli there are so many other good restaurants in Steamboat. We walked two blocks and ordered burgers before going home hungry.
From start to finish this dining experience was excellent! It’s a lively atmosphere, with good music and well versed, experienced, and attentive wait staff. We love tapas, so that we have the ability to try several different things; sometimes there are hits and sometimes misses. But at Laundry each dish was top notch! No disappointments! The Pork belly sliders and crab Mac n cheese were delectable! The bar mixology was also amazing! Would’ve never expected the smoke n thyme to be so delicious! I only wished I had a second stomach! Out of the 5 dinners we had in Steamboat, this was by far our favorite!
Food came out to quickly but overall very good.
We went for happy hour and it was a pretty good deal. The menu is a bit pricey but the food was very good. Our waitress was outstanding.
This is at least our 4th or 5th time to eat at Laundry, over the years. It has consistently been very good, which is not true of many restaurants. We always get the small plates, so we can have a variety of items. Those along with a good bottle of wine make for a good evening.
Great atmosphere for a friends get together. Not a great option for kids.
Mouth watering food at amazing prices. Obsessed!
We went to Laundry two years ago for a nice dinner out in Steamboat Springs. We loved it then, and loved it this weekend, too. It's a lovely, old building with a great bar and really outstanding, ecletic food. I've already recommended it to two people - one a friend and one who I sat by on the airplane coming home.
Great variety of delicious small plates, from an exceptional kale salad to amazing pow pow crispy shrimp with just the right kick of spice. Excellent service and drink menu. The restaurant decor is inviting, chic, and has a fun, lively atmosphere.
Wonderful experience, management was incredible along with the service. We will be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting steamboat. Great food, great drinks, great people!
Five year local that finally visited for the first time and it was fantastic. It was a little pricey, but ya get what ya pay for. Local ingredients, professional service, beautifully platted, and most importantly delicious! I'll definitely be going back for happy hour in the future.
