About
There seemed to be no one in charge on the day we went. They did not have our reservation when we arrived but did try to accommodate us within 10 minutes of our arrival. There were plenty of tables available but none of them were cleaned. Several workers standing around but no one cleaning tables. Also one of the elevators were broken so hard getting to the restaurant.
Horrible. We were literally the only people in the restaurant. We ordered a bottle of wine, but the waitress did not bring any wine glasses. After 20 minutes of waiting on glasses, we got up and left.
Good Brunch selection, though I did not know it was to be a brunch when I made reservation for six. Wait staff not up to par for what it appears this restaurant wants to be. Food was good.
Our family ate lunch at Launch on Easter Sunday. The buffet was impressive and delicious, with a wide variety of offerings. The wait staff and other personnel were friendly and helpful.
We plan on returning for other occasions.
Seafood (Grouper Ponchetrain and steak wonderful, fried crawfish perfect.
Staff was friendly and efficient. Ambiance was good. Brunch was $49 for adults and the quality and selection of food was not up to that level.
We booked Launch and were surprised to see it was in The Admiral hotel, but there was parking across the street that was easily accessed. The menu at Launch is Modern American with an emphasis on local catches from the Gulf; in fact, the Gulf and Grits is an excellent take on shrimp and grits, using the deeper water royal red shrimp with a black-eyed pea and crab cake. The wood-roasted fish of the day was perfectly cooked, and its accompaniment of risotto was an excellent balance. Portions were just right. The management comes around to ask how they did and what they can do to improve (which really isn't anything, they're doing it right).
We went before the Elton John concert and I'm glad we got there early! They were definitely understaffed but the waitress's were hustling and doing the best they could. That being said we will be back, the food was very good and the grouper was the best piece of fish I have had in Mobile yet!
Had a wonderful experience our waitress was wonderful . Food was amazinggggg !! My husband who is super picky enjoyed every course. The food was seasoned perfectly not bland at all. Also give u good sized portions. The fried green tomatoes were amazing especially since we don't even like tomatoes that much but I've always wanted to try them . Desert was great but not really hot enough I feel like we should have chose something else besides the bread pudding . The manager came by to check on every table and ask how everything was . Will be going again next time we are in town love love love this place .
Everything on the menu looked wonderful! The decision was hard, but I went with the rosemary brined fried chicken with a honey and thyme gastrique, and it did not disappoint. The sides were equally as delicious. Still a few kinks to be worked out with service, but understandable being a new restaurant. Cant wait to try more of the menu.
The restaurant was completely empty despite the downtown full of people due to Mardi Gras. The appetizer of cornbread stuffed oysters and a crab bisque was good but bisque was served fairly cool. The entrees of rosemary friend chicken with collards and black eyed pea risotto was over cooked, very dry chicken, completely oversalted greens (inedible) and the risotto was undercooked. The other entree of red snapper, butternut squash risotto and spinach cooked with bacon lardon was inedible too and had to be sent back. The salt in every element of the dish was so awful and made my tongue seize up. The chef came by and offered to replace it but everything else was so mediocre or bad that I wanted nothing else.
I will never return there.
