   Had a fantastic meal last night. One of the first times in the past few years that I did not feel at all rushed in enjoying a dinner out. From start to finish, the food was delicious. The portions left everyone feeling full at the end of the meal. Would absolutely go back for future celebratory occasions!

   As always the food, wine, and service were all exceptional. Our server Freddie was outstanding - proving impeccable and friendly service throughout dinner. All courses were prepared and presented beautifully. Can’t wait for our next visit!

   Wonderful, traditional French food. Everything tasted like it does in France. Great selection, large portions. My only disappointments were that 1. Salad is served before the main course, not after as it is done in France. 2. There was not a cheese option instead of sweet desserts. As someone who can't have sweets, I always loved dinners in France where a selection of cheeses is often offered as an option. Overall, a wonderful experience and WE WILL BE BACK!

    Cool, authentic French restaurant nestled away in Great Falls. Service was true French fantastic. Love the crepe appetizer. Veal and Duck entrées were wonderful. Great wine list.

    Excellent service and bouillabaisse! Crème brûlée is not the best—the brûlée is excellent but the crème is too thick and pasty, and not tasty.

    Chez Francois never disappoints. It is always a calm, lovely setting and as I rated, food and service was top notch. Two guests were quite elderly and our server Abel was wonderfully patient and spent time explaining to them if necessary. It is always a special time at Chez Francois! Merci beaucoup.

    Chez Francois is a unique dining experience compared to most higher end dining in the DC area. A very French country side experience vs overly formal and elegant. Dont let confuse from it being a very professional staff, and a high quality dining experience. From the appetizers to the entrees and souffle you will find this to be a special evening to share!

    L'Auberge never disappoints. Friends who had never been there were very impressed with the relaxing ambiance, excellent service and, of course, the delicious food. While it is always difficult to choose as there are so many enticing offerings on the menu, any choice will be pleasing. Always beautifully presented, all menu items provide a memorable dining experience.

    Fabulous French food! A slice of Paris in Northern Virginia. Loved the lobster, filet, mushroom crepe! Can't wait for the outdoor garden to reopen in late April. Great for special occasions or a fancy dinner or lunch to escape in the country.

    L'Auberge Chez Francois is our family go-to place for special events. This time my sister took me for my birthday. Was cool enough to want to be indoors. We asked for a table by the window, and were told they were all occupied. This was because everyone was being seated in one room with a view of the terrace. Took them just a minute or so to adjust and escort us to a separate dining room with view of the garden and window table. Had it to ourselves, which was delightful. And service was superb. Tommy, who has been the server for each of us over the years, is now a Maitre d', and made certain we were well cared for. My sister opted for Lobster bisque and lobster salad, and loved both. I took two old favorites, boudin blanc and veal. Neither has ever failed to impress. Birthday gift of ice cream and meringue meant I could take the superb chocolate cake home to share with my wife. It is reassuring to see that despite all the travails of Covid L'Auberge has remained so consistently superb.

    I have been coming here for special & not-so-special occasions since the mid-eighties. It was pretty great since before the fire and mostly ok after. This time, however, too many things were wrong for me to let it go: The room was very bright & very loud (so much for a pleasant ambiance) The waitress didn’t know what bourbon was & was never around. We had to ask a staff member to find her no fewer than 3 times. (She had to bring a “supervisor” over to translate the bourbon order. Huh?) I won’t say maitre d’ because he wasn’t he was just a translator. The appetizer was nice. The house salad was not eaten by 3 of the five of us. My entree, trout, could have been less dry & have SOME flavor. Had there been more than 5 capers (yes, I counted) maybe the flavor would’ve been a little better. But I didn’t ask for more because I figured out that a whole jar of capers wouldn’t have improved it. Also, everyone of the entrees (lamb, lobster, duck & fish)came with a medley of tasteless root vegetables. All the same. We each opted for the soufflé. Chocolate was ok. The Grand Marnier sauce had a sour/processed flavor. Ugh. The only thing that didn’t change over the years, was that the cost was now more than the restaurant deserved. We patrons have loved you, but I am sorry to say that this group has fallen out-of-love with L’auberge.

    We hadn't been to L"Auberge Chez Francois in awhile. But, it is still a true classic. The food is superb and service very attentive. It is the same price fix menu, and the prices have gone up since our last visit. So, our bill was hefty for five people...worth it for very special occasions. My only gripe--the waiter was excellent with his attention and knowledge, but in hindsight, I was annoyed slightly with his consistent effort to upsell to premium priced items.

    Special birthday celebration. The food and staff was amazing. Fireplace and lightly falling snow made it an idylic birthday celebration. The Grand Marnier souffle was fabulous for this birthday girl. I took many photos of the food. Delicious. I would return.
