Food was excellent and the service was outstanding.
Excellent meal. It was a very pleasant 2 hours enjoying the nice ambiance and the excellent food. I had been in Paris just a few weeks before and the meal rivaled those that in Paris. Service was very good, attentive bu not pushy.
My favorite! 💕
It has been a while since we’ve been even though we live nearby. Took an out of town friend who really enjoyed their meal. My rack of lamb was terrific, but my wife’s scallops had to be sent back. While the plate was hot, the food had to warmed up. It was an easy fix, but still. Service was very good, but had some difficulty understanding the wait person. The restaurant didn’t seemed that busy for a Saturday night as we were at an 8:00 seating. That’s helped with the overall noise level. Overall the meal was fine, but not as special as we had remembered.
We drove 500 miles from Michigan for dinner at L'Auberge, a special place from our past. We were not disappointed. Every course was perfectly made.
The servers and staff at this restaurant were top-notch, as was the food. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
It’s as great as ever!
This is my all time favorite restaurant! Nothing beats it for special occasions, fabulous food, great service, lovely location, mood, etc. It is close to perfect for what it costs and you always get what you expect.
L’Auberge Chez Francois has long been a favorite spot for our family celebrations, though we had not visited for several years. We were pleased that the food and ambiance were as inviting as ever. We will return soon!
We had an early lunch to celebrate a milestone birthday. Everyone was incredibly nice. The weather was stunning and when we asked to eat outside we were given a choice of tables, including the gazebos. We chose a gazebo and had a wonderful meal with incredible service. Every table was placed in a way so that all the diners had space and privacy. The gardens were stunning and provided both a beautiful backdrop and a distraction for my children. Each coarse was brought out in a timely manner, artfully arranged and was just enough food without being too much. Everything was delicious and I look forward to a return visit.
It was a great dinner! The food was fresh and delicious. Our server was very accommodating as we had some custom requests that he was able to pull off. Highly recommend this restaurant.
There's a reason that L'Auberge has consistently been in the top Zagat rated spots in VA - the whole experience is excellent. It is pricey, but worth it for a special occasion - would highly recommend going at least once (but more likely, several times!)
Had a fabulous meal. Service was extremely personal. Had a table for 6 and we were each made to feel special. Assistance with wine was spot on. Dinner was for a special occasion, and L'Auberge did not disappoint!
This is a special restaurant which dis not disappoint in helping us celebrate a special occasion.
Our entire experience was amazing! We went there for my parent’s 50th anniversary and my parents were treated very special. The food. As always, delicious!!
Delicious choices and large quantity. Fantastic service[ our waiter was Sammy]
Been coming to L’ Auberge for years and it never disappoints- it may even be getting BETTER!
Consistently good food and service. We always pick L'Auberge for special occasions, and that has been the case for 33 years.
Lovely lunch with friends. Wonderful food. Will visit again and again. (My only concern was the waiter reaching from the left in front of me to place my coffee on my right.)
A good choice for special occasions, but it is quite a drive to get there. Somewhat pricey, but you get a complete dinner including appetizer (a bit on the small side -- only 10 mussels), salad, entree, and dessert for the fixed price, which varies by entree (and there are additions for special items such as Baked Alaska). Food is very good, and the servers are helpful.
This was my fourth visit, but the first in four years. It was just as wonderful as I remembered. I took a neighbor along, and he was just as impressed.
We've enjoyed L'Auberge Chez Francois for many years. It is always a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. The food and service are always terrific and the restaurant has an old world charm about it.
Best French restaurant in this region. Never been disappointed over 50 years. Not overpriced or pretentious. Everything is fresh and done just to perfection: not overdone. I recommend to anyone who asks about French restaurants. Worth the long drive from Maryland.
Exquisite French cuisine + presentation. Feels like walking into Alsace, in the middle of Northern Virginia. Pricey, but delightful.
We don't go often, but when we do, we're always delighted with our evenings at L'Auberge. The food is delicious and the service engaging.
This is one of best restaurants in the country. Perfect service, food, and ambience. Well worth a visit
Sunday Lunch - Two hours of bliss-from the aperitifs to the Raspberry Soufflé' and the superb service, tastes, surprises in between, made our birthday celebration a truly splendid event. The portions are generous, but still presented with flair, and always taste even better than they look. The service is attentive, but never intrusive, and never rushed. There is no better restaurant in Northern Virginia. Can't wait to come back for our next special occasion - next week!!
We celebrated an 88th birthday and 30th Anniversary. We sat at a beautiful, quiet corner table by a window. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. The food was wonderful-oysters, rack of lamb and Gran marnier soufflé. A wonderful place for a special occasion.
The food was fantastic. Starting from the bread (we could make a dinner from the bread and cottage cheese alone) to the main courses the food was heavenly. They even gave us an anniversary (34 years) dessert before bringing out the desserts chosen with our meals. We will be sure to be back for 35th.
We had a great time! Food was excellent
We have been dining here many years and Chez Francois never disappoints. Out server, Sammy was great. We dined on the patio which was a delight. The food, as usual, was awesome.
We celebrated a birthday and they brought their famous meringue birthday surprise with the candle. Everything was just perfect. We stayed way too late but they were gracious and did not rush us. A wonderful restaurant in all ways!
One of THE best dining experiences in the DC area. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff made it very special for us with multiple greetings and a few extras from the kitchen. The greens for the salads were harvested just next door and tasted as fresh as could be. My filet mignon was so tender it could be cut with a fork only. The soufflé was divine. Pricey but highly recommend.
Excellent food and service. Great place for a romantic evening or to celebrate an event.
Had a wonderful dinner here, celebrating high school graduation. Food, as always, was delicious and the service was excellent.
Food was excellent as well s the waiter service. The sound was louder (noisy) than I liked.
Absolutely incredible food and service! A lovely 10th Wedding Anniversary dinner! 🥂💞 We will definitely be back for the patio experience.
Food and service was excellent.
L'auberge Chez Francois is tucked away in a wooded corner of Great Falls. It has plenty of parking and both the exterior and interior resemble a French country inn. The service and the food were outstanding, as was the wine. Don't plan on having to be anywhere else at a particular time, because a meal here can easily take a couple of hours.
I love everything the people is so nice I feel like I’m home thanks so much
Our dinner at L'Auberge Chez Francois was an incredible experience. We dine her on the most special of occasions, such as significant-year anniversaries. The quality and consistency of the food has been maintained throughout the 30 years we've dined there. This is itself remarkable.
We love the fact that the menu evolves slowly. We can find new delights or harken back to old favorites.
The seafood that comprised "La matelote de poissons et crustaçés" entree was delicate and delicious; each piece has individual preparation requirements, yet each was done to perfection.
The Alsatian Feast, "La choucroute royale", is a perennial favorite and it did not disappoint.
The wine selection was very good across a span of price ranges.
The service was excellent, knowledgeable, attentive and non-intrusive.
From start to finish this special dinner exceeded our expectations. Viva L'Auberge Chez Francois.
