Great place to take the family - sushi for me and solid options for the kids.
We have gone there for my birthday for a few years. I love it. Many thanks to the staff!
Good meal. The service is always a bit disjointed here. Didn’t take drink order. Food took a long time. But friendly. They need to develop a more team oriented approach to service.
Excellent evening of sushi, martinis and good friends! Service was top notch and we had the place to ourselves (Monday night outing). And free parking in the empty lot out front!
My wife was given a giftcard for Latitude 43 so we went on New Year's Eve. Food was wonderful. They make great scallops. I liked the sushi. Lucas, our waiter was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu. Really nice dining experience!
Great food with a very interesting menu of traditional seafood and sushi selections. Everything prepared exceptionally well. Atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. Great view of Cape Ann marina. The apple crisp with bacon eas delicious.
The drinks were watered down. My whiskey sour was the color of water. My husband had ice in his beer. The restaurant was mostly empty. The host was sulky and unwelcoming. A disappointing evening. The food was just average and they brought our main courses when we were just half way through appetizers
Great restaurant. First of the many new trendy spots in Gloucester and still one of the best.
This was our first time visiting Latitude 43 - we've walked past it several times on visits to Gloucester and never had gone in for whatever reason. Now, we will be driving to Gloucester to specifically eat there! The food was delicious... we had a picky eater with us who was thrilled to find lots of options, and the sushi (what my husband and I wanted to try) was exceptional. (I can't wait to go back and sit at the recessed sushi bar!)
Food was great. Wait staff and management were excellent
Very accommodating and generous staff. Seafood is locally sourced. Worth the price.
Great atmosphere. Open setting. Very homey. Great service. Wide variety of food
Very confusing place. Doesn’t seem to know what it wants to be. Sushi bar + tavern + Oceanside dining + upscale dining prices. Decor and ambience matched that theme. Multi layered white drop ceiling with missing tiles and low sushi bar.
Food came out REALLY undercooked and had to be sent back. Beer was OK. Server was nowhere to be found for most of the meal even though we were trying to track him down to send the food back. Would rate this fair at best
After 10 years I am tired of the attitude of the front desk.
Not going back.
Went for nice lobster dinner and they did not have it on the fall menu. Disappointed
Server was terrible. She thought she was running a marathon. Nerve racking
All the food was delicious. Got the muscles, chowder and a half dozen oysters to start and everything was fresh and delicious. Couldn't stop dunking the bread in the broth of the muscles they were fantastic.
For dinner latitude 43 chicken and, on our servers suggestion I got the short ribs. Neither of these dishes disappoint in the slightest. The short ribs were very tender and flavorful. Didn't even need the knife. And the chicken was fantastic along with their amazing corn bread and Mexican sweet corn.
Desert was great! Flourless chocolate tort and tiramissu. Both great portions and delicious.
Our server was Andrew he was very engaging and knowledgeable with his suggestions which were all spot on. He was attentive and was never rushing even though we were there toward the end of the night. As a former server myself this guy was great.
My only complaint, which my gf disagreed with, was I felt the atmosphere was clashing. It had a cool waterfront feel outside the restaurant and sometimes in, and a Japanese/ sushi feel just in the middle of the restaurant. But that's something I can get over and will go back.
My boyfriend and I had a lovely anniversary dinner! Our server was very friendly and attentive! We shared the mussel appetizer and had sushi for dinner! Excellent sushi! Would highly recommend.
Sat outside on the deck near the water and seagulls. I had the jalapeño margarita which was delicious and the lobster roll with fries. The restaurant had sold out of fresh lobster during the day. Their lobsters come straight from the boat as do some of their fish. The waitress was amazing!
Best Sushi on the North Shore
Very helpful staff. Comfortable seating. Unique decor. Fine food. Very good sushi. Ample parking. Reserve ahead.
Great environment, good food, excellent location
I absolutely loved the clam chowder!!!! Highly recommend it.
Great lunch with old friends! Always come here when we come to MA!
Food is average in taste and quality.
Outdoor dining is authentic gloucester.
Service is excellent.
Prices are high for quality of food but good for view and location.
Our party of four had a fun time and great dinner at Latitude 43. Kim was our outstanding waitress. Two of us enjoyed 2 lb lobsters, one had mac and lobster and the other had swordfish. All entrees were great!
Right on the water, great table. Seafood was fresh and daily special Haddock very good. Service was attentive. Would return.
Delicious and waterfront . A little overpriced. We enjoyed it though.
For a restaurant that is right on the water and has the opportunity to get it's seafood right from their backyard, food was not that fresh. Lobster roll and sushi we're a disappointment.
Food was all delicious! Service fantastic! Andrew was a great server! Another great Serenitee experience! Thank you!
Always fun, usually crowded, so need reservation. Some tables much better than others though.
Nice location on Gloucester's waterfront -- it feels like you're a part of the ebb and flow of Gloucester's fishing fleet. The restaurant is clean and nicely appointed, but not overstated or stuffy -- lively and comfortable. There's a choice of indoor or outdoor seating on the deck by the water -- and the outdoor part can be under a protected awning area or on an open deck with an umbrella for each table. Servers were friendly, efficient and fun. I'd go there again.
Our waiter disappeared literally after taking our orders. We had to catch the hostess to ask where our drink order was, and also to tell her they brought the wrong sushi that one of us ordered. Never saw the waiter again until he brought us the bill. Over rated place.
It was a very nice seafood dinner with friends from France. We thought the food was well above average, but not remarkable. We generally love Serenity group restaurants and we will be back. Service was excellent.
We had a great meal at Latitude 43. Our server did a great job explaining the menu and was very attentive to our needs. The sushi starter was very good and our entrees were good. We would come back when we are in Gloucester.
The food is excellent - tuna is fabulous - all fish was so fresh and delicious - everything was great We sat at the outdoor dining by the harbor - so it's a great atmosphere - service was perfect - you won't regret this restaurant We will return on our next trip to Glouster
I love to eat outside at Latitude 43. The service is always great. The food is very good and consistent. The wine list is well thought out.
Nice location. Small portion of fish. But other than that nice time.
The food used to be much better. The fried fish was overcooked, heavy and the mussels had too much garlic. The lunch menu is very limited with no grilled sea food. The overall quality is not like it used to be. In the past the food was light with an Italian influence and distinctive items on the menu. Now it become medium standard food.
Latitude 43 is a decent seafood restaurant, nothing spectacular but overall the quality is good. I had the fried whole belly clams which were very good. The whole belly clams were a special, the fried clams that were on the menu were clams strips which I assume was a prepared product. The clam strips are described as local but that doesn't mean anything because Gorton's of Gloucester is across the street so an industrial clam strip could indeed be local. A proper fried clam is a whole belly clam so if you don't see them on the menu ask for them. I also had the clam chowder which was also good.
Excellent baked haddock and the sides of spinach and broccoli were fab.
