My husband and I went for dinner on a Saturday night. Part of the reason we choose this restaurant was because they were participating in the local restaurant week and that gave us a chance to try what was a new place for us, at a lower price. I'm so glad we picked Latitude 41, the food was wonderful and the service was great. We will certainly return the next time we have a special occasion to celebrate and want some delicious food in a relaxing atmosphere.

Our dinner was very good, but wish the noise level was quieter for a more peaceful dinner atmosphere. No baffling, i.e. lowered curtains, to help absorb many conversations, in a very open main room.

Latitude has it all from the formal dining to the cozy and casual pub / tavern scene. So great that customers are able to order from the restaurant week menu in all areas. Kim is such a fun bartender and so friendly and great at her job.

My husband got a new job so we went there with his parents for dinner to celebrate . Food was really good as well as the service. The waitress came by a few time to check on us but did not hover which we really like it didn’t make us feel like we were being rushed. Tuesday our waitress was amazing explaining the menu options to us

Went to Latitudes to celebrate Adult son's birthday and was delighted to discover online that it was Mystic CT Restaurant week. Of all the participating restaurants Latitudes had the best menu options for total party. All entrees were delicious. Service was fabulous & the chocolate Lava cake with vanilla ice cream was over the top! Coffee was very good also (not weak).

We were graciously welcomed by the hostess and were seated at a lovely table. The service was excellent, however our food was not up to par. The calamari was rubbery, greasy and overcooked and my husband's swordfish was dry and tasteless. When brought to the attention of the waitress, she did not get defensive and she offered us another meal. She alerted the manager who came over and apologized. We were not charged for either meal, only our appetizers (clam chowder and a wedge salad - both of which were wonderful) and our cocktails. We found that more than fair. Perhaps the chef was just having a bad night and/or the large party in an adjacent room could have made a difference.

Very quiet off-season evening with dining room mostly to ourselves. Food was the highlight — split a Caesar salad, two small plates of lobster/asparagus crepe and short ribs, and main plate of seafood bouillabaisse. Red Newt Riesling was crisp and chilled. Wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary.

Three of us were visiting Mystic Seaport and had lunch at Latitude 41. We all enjoyed our food — salmon tacos, the Latitude Burger and crab cakes. Everything was very good, the portions generous but not overwhelming. The menu was great - hard to make a choice!

Food was ok. Service a little rough. We had drinks before at the bar. It was very busy and the bartender could barely take our order. When we seated in the restaurant our waitress was very nice, but barely around. I had a hot lobster roll which was loaded with lobster. Spouse had a NY Strip steak, just so so.
Not an excellent experience but not bad.

What a beautiful setting, and very good food to match with it. The grounds overlook the river, and the tall ships at the adjacent harbor. We couldn't really take the entire thing in due to a wedding reception going on while we were there but besides the great view, we played some corn hole while we waited and the night got more exciting as the wedding party ended up needing an ambulance about 20 minutes into the inside festivities. We had little problem getting vegan food, as long as you like pasta. Service was mediocre, but the setting and food made up for it.

We were excited to try this restaurant. The building itself is beautiful. There was a large party across the hall from the dining room. They were extremely loud. We asked if they could close the French doors and the waiter said the party would have to pay $250 to do that. It was hard to have conversation in the main dining room. I ordered prime rib medium/rare it came out well done. We ordered creme brûlée and that came out burnt. The server we had felt bad. They took my meal off and didn't charge us for the dessert. Wish I could recommend this place but without major changes in the kitchen it would be difficult to do so.

The soup, salad and entree were all huge. Each one would have been enough for a meal and we were already full by the time the entree arrived so having dessert wasn't even considered. One of the entrees was so large that 3 people could have shared it except that the meat was salty and dry. The manager (a very nice man) came to our table to ask why so much of it was returned to the kitchen. Considering that this is a tourist destination it doesn't seem reasonable to expect diners to take a box back to the hotel; especially over half a pork loin. The chef should have served just enough soup and salad to enjoy as the appetizer not the size of large dinner plate or bowl. This is a fine dining restaurant not a fast food chain where you expect ridiculous amounts of food. The hostess, waitress, and manager were all very nice; the atmosphere quiet and lovely. If the chef was more considerate of the clientele it would have been a lovely anniversary dinner; unfortunately we left unhappy.

We had a good meal at Latitude 41 and sat in the dining room just to the right when entering the restaurant from the street. It was a cool night and the a/c was initially making me uncomfortably cold. The dining room doesn't have much in the way of ambiance, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the food and service were both very good.

Great service from being greeted upon entering through the dinner service. Sea food was fresh. Did not skimp on portion size of the salmon. Plenty left over for another meal. Very nice wine selection. Looking forward to our return.

The nice views of the seaport and river from the terrace were not enough to make up for the fact that the food and service were "just ok". Nothing we ate was bad, it just wasn't great. Not interesting enough to make us want to return!

This restaurant is at the Mystic Seaport and it provides good food in a popular (touristy) area. We are from Connecticut and don't go to Mystic all that often because of the traffic, crowds and limited free parking. This restaurant has free parking and it is a little way from Main St, which makes the traffic bearable. Although I would have preferred the dining room, my husband chose the tavern and I might have enjoyed the experience more in the dining room. We sat away from the bar near a window and throughout our dinner, a band was setting up less than one foot from our table. They were really in our space. We probably should have asked to move, but the members of the band arrived one at a time and our space was invaded more and more as the meal went on. The waitstaff was clearly "friends" with the band members and they were more interested in their comfort than ours. After my salad, which was a wonderful mixture of greens, goat cheese, and other items, I left my messy fork and knife on the plate and the busser picked them up and put them on the table outside of the placemat, for me to use with my main course. Although I should have been more pleasant. I told her that I thought that was disgusting and asked if I could have fresh tableware. She did oblige, but I don't think this represents the best of training and again, making sure that the meal is pleasant for diners.
The food was good. The flavors were unique and well-blended. I really liked the taste of the asparagus/lobster crepes and ricotta stuffed meatballs. The crepes, however, were warm and I think the sauce should have been heated more. I didn't want the staff to microwave the dish and ruin the nice consistency of the crepes. so I ate them the way they were served. My husband enjoyed his bouillabaisse and thought it was excellent.

We made a reservation as it was for a Friday night and we wanted to make sure we would be able to get a table to celebrate our anniversary. As it turned out, we were the only people in the dining room since all other guests had chosen outdoor seating. We enjoyed having the place to ourselves and received friendly and attentive service. The meals were outstanding and we had a great evening.

Always outstanding! We come up to Mystic for vacation and family; this place never disappoints, and the Manager (Nancy) always wants to hear honest feedback about how your dinner went. Very accommodating staff even when busy. Beautiful outdoor views of Mystic Seaport right next to the museum, as well as great indoor seating during the colder months. Easy parking across the street. We feel at home here.

The food was pretty good, good enough that we would try to go back there again if in Mystic. The service however was not great and the timing of the food was off and the server made no apology for it. We had to ask for bread four times. Our entrees were served while we were still eating appetizers. Pretty pricy for that kind of service.

Dining al fresco on the Mystic River

In the end we had a nice dinner seated under an umbrella right on the shoreline of the Mystic River. Started out of sorts initially as we waited longer than we should at the hostess stand with two other groups waiting for tables. There were plenty of tables and we all had reservations. Finally seated by seated by one of the waitresses. No one approached us for drinks. We flagged down a waitstaff member who took our drinks order. There seemed to be a great deal of confusion amongst the waitstaff. Finally someone else showed up to take our order. After that the evening went quite smooth and service was friendly and efficient.
The seafood pot pie was the best we ever saw. Loaded with huge chunks of lobster, shrimp and fish. Scallop flatbread is listed as an app but was a meal in itself. We will go back and sit inside.

There was a 45 minute delay between tapas dishes
We had a great Lobster salad which we shared outstanding
Also, a cup of NE clam chowder which was also very good
But then we waited 45 minutes for the other 2 appetizers
Tuna Poke was okay but spicy
And a under cooked scallop on flat bread which was uneatable
The waiter was great Ryan and he explained that a wedding was taking up all the time
I would not go back

Our first time in Mystic. Had planned a day trip and looked for a place for a nice meal. Our waiter, Ryan, was very good. He listened to what we liked and then made his recommendations. We had the lobster pot pie and the Coquille St. Jacques. Both dishes were delicious and the presentations were excellent. Coupled with a good bottle of wine and we had a wonderful meal. Will definitely go back.
