We enjoyed the food and ambience so much we returned the next night for dinner.
Excellent food, service, very enjoyable
Alanna was a wonderful server and she was even training a new server that night. Started with Oysters and split a small Ceasar, which was really quite large. Both were great. Also a Shrimp Bruschetta which was just OK, as it was chopped pieces of shrimp which got lost in the peppers and tomato. For dinner The Lobster Pot Pie was tremendous, but the Bourbon Seared Scallops were disappointing as the brussel sprouts were boiled or cooked in a pan, very mushy. They are always better when grilled and crunchy, but that's just a personal choice. The Monkey Fist dessert was a winner. If I could I would give a 4 1/2 star rating. We will be back.
The service started off great then went downhill after we received our apps. The dinner entrees took EXCEPTIONALLY long for two simple entrees. The Brussel sprouts seemed like they were reheated in the microwave. The server seemed to just disappear for a long time, checking on our dinner just as we were about finished.
The ambiance is great but not a place I’d likely return too.
My scallops were perfectly cooked. The seafood stew was delicious.
My son and I both ordered the stuffed pork chops - was looking forward to them all day. One was barely stuffed with a thin line of spinach - prosciutto & mozzarella cheese not at all. The other chop was not stuffed. Both were dry. This is a chef issue not the waitress or staff who were very gracious.
Food was delicious, (I had the bourbon scallops). The restaurant was quiet, server was very attentive. We will definitely be visiting again.
We had an awesome dinner at Latitude 41. The food was incredible, and our server Ryan was super attentive, upbeat, and kind. The portions were HUGE and everything tasted SO good!
The only downside was having to walk across a busy main road to get to the restaurant after parking. They also have weddings and when the dancing started, you could hear the music through the kitchen. That didn't bother my husband and I, but if someone was looking for a quiet and intimate setting, this may put them off.
We went to celebrate my birthday and ate in the tavern. I was surprised that it wasn’t busy at all on a Friday night - there was no one in the dining room. My husband had the fish and chips and I had the stuffed pork chops. Both were excellent! Music was awesome, as was the service. This may become our new favorite!
Good food. Some nice appetizers. Parking is across the street at a public lot. Not a problem, but it would help if the sign had a small spotlight on it.
We enjoyed the the food, I had crab cakes and my husband had stuffed pork chops. Our waitress was very pleasant and the restaurant is nicely decorated and cozy with a fireplace. The only thing I would have liked is more time between our appetizers and our dinner. I requested that when we placed the order but they came within minutes of each other. Since this was a rare night away from our children we were looking forward to an enjoyable dinner and we’re in no rush. Unfortunately we were down within an hour. Overall a nice place to eat.
Food was tasty and delicious, but a bit overpriced for what it was. Had 1 round of drinks, a couple appetizers, and only 1 entree and the bill came to almost $100. We ate in the tavern which has a much more casual ambiance. Service was great. Waitresses were attentive and nice. Our appetizers took a long time to come out so they gave us the first round of drinks on the house , which was really good business.
Great food, good wine. Good service. Did not rush us. The ambiance would have been better if the fire place was being used.
awesome food, large portions, good ambiance. service was great.
Great small plate options at a great price, good wine at a nice value
Receptionist/wait staff were all very friendly and accommodating . The soup of the day was butternut squash. I could not eat mine was it was too spicy. No substitution was offered but I didn't make a fuss. It would have been to know up front that the soup was spicy because there is nothing about it that sounds like it would be. My friend ordered the asparagus and lobster crepe but did not eat the crepe because to her it was much too sweet overwhelming the other tastes. My other friend had the same and ate every bite! Give renewed meaning to "it's a matter of taste". Overall a nice experience. We will return.
Latitude 41 was deserted when we arrived for lunch so we had the run of the place. We always like sharing small plates so were delighted to see a number of our old favourites on the menu, as well as a new favourite - scallops and bacon jam. I have since tried to recreate the dish but it was not nearly as good as it was there, though I could develop an addiction to bacon jam. The clam chowder was pretty damn delicious too. Must go back when I am not driving and try some more of the extensive beer selection
Great New Year's Eve dinner!
Excellent Cuisine, Large Portions
My entire group had a wonderful time on New Years Eve. We ordered from both the Regular Menu and The Specialty Menu.
I will definitely return
New Year’s Eve
Atmosphere and service were good, but the food was disappointing. The winter salad had too many ingredients and was too salty. The cornbread oyster small plate was difficult to eat although very attractively presented. The broccoli cheddar soup was unappealing to the eye, runny and without much texture. The cauliflower purée which was part of the scallop entree was delicious and the best part of the meal. This was a first-time visit to Latitude 41. Would give it another chance in the summertime for the outdoor seating.
Excellent dinner and service. Parking across the street, which was a bit of a pain.
Christmas time. Beautiful ambiance. Yummy food!
Reservation at 8pm. Weather was a bit nasty (first snow of year) so the crowd was pretty small, except a group event that periodically filled the lobby with excitement. Enjoyed the swordfish. Service was very attentive and friendly
Very memorable and delicious meal. The restaurant is beautiful and elegsnt, but not fussy. We had the tuna and salmon poke appetizer - it was both beautiful and tasty. Service was fabulous - Tuesday was great fun, very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!
Nice atmosphere...good waitperson...generous portions
Dinner was fantastic. Seafood was fresh and the steak was cooked perfectly.
Wendy gave us awesome friendly service. Dinner was excellent.
Arrived early, they were able to and took us right in. Very busy night but Michele our waitress could not have been more pleasant and attentive. Oh ya and the food was great.
Despite making a reservation one full week in advance we were not seated in the main dining room, but a room across from it, which was not as nice. In fact we were seated next to the emergency exit . The room was adjacent to the bar which was very loud that evening with a singer and a loud crowd. After placing our order we did not see our waitress again until at least 10 minutes after our food was brought to our table. By then we desperately needed more water, vinegar for our fries and a steak knife, as the pork belly could not be cut with an ordinary knife. A wedding was going on as well, which probably contributed to the long wait we had before our food arrived. Overall, this restaurant was a big disappointment!
Huge portions, very slow service
Everyone and everything was on point. We were there to celebrate a birthday and I picked this place out sight unseen, but what a perfect choice! I would highly recommend Latitude 41 to anyone looking for any sort of dining option—be it lunch or dinner—in Mystic.
Service was quite good. Friendly but professional. Server's recommendations were spot on. Made the meal even more enjoyable. Scallops can be difficult to get right, but the kitchen did a fine job. Look forward to return in near future.
We had a good experience. Food and service were good. Hostess was very friendly and accommodating. It was quiet for a Saturday night.
My husband and I went for dinner on a Saturday night. Part of the reason we choose this restaurant was because they were participating in the local restaurant week and that gave us a chance to try what was a new place for us, at a lower price. I'm so glad we picked Latitude 41, the food was wonderful and the service was great. We will certainly return the next time we have a special occasion to celebrate and want some delicious food in a relaxing atmosphere.
One of the better values in Mystic restaurant week ! Good food and atmosphere as well ! Great job lat 41 !!
Came in with my girlfriend and daughter. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The portion sizes were very generous and food was great. Server was very nice and gave spot on recommendations. If we get out to mystic again this will be our first spot. Thanks for an enjoyable evening!
Latitude 41 was wonderful. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was plentiful,
we had to take some home it was so much. The waitstaff was great. Overall, this place
is perfect for any occasion.
Just looking for local restaurant with good seafood. This was excellent.
Our dinner was very good, but wish the noise level was quieter for a more peaceful dinner atmosphere. No baffling, i.e. lowered curtains, to help absorb many conversations, in a very open main room.
Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Will be going back.
