Late Harvest Kitchen
Late Harvest Kitchen is consistent in its outstanding execution. Always a great meal, flawlessly prepared, good service, and a dining room that has a nice hum, but isn't overwhelming. LHK is my favorite restaurant in Indianapolis
This was my second time here and just as enjoyable as the first. Very knowledgeable waiter and prompt. I forget his name, but he was great. -He really knows a lot about bourbons and very helpful with the menu. I could eat the bread pudding everyday! It’s the best dessert I’ve ever had! Thank you again for another great dinner!
Always a great place for great food, atmosphere and service. One minor suggestion is to be able to turn the heat down a little on the fireplace. I got too hot sitting next to it. They said it can only be on or off. It would be nice to have some type of knob to control the heat output.
Great food and service as usual!
As always the service was excellent. The food was , as always, excellent. We both had the Branzini. Everyone was most polite and attentive.
Awesome! Great menu selection. The Bronzini was to die for. Douglas did a great job prepping the fish at the table. Desserts were deadly! Do the French Press coffee! Best coffee I’ve had in a while. This restaurant going on my trap line!
I remarked to my wife that I don’t remember the last time I had a restaurant experience that perfect in every detail. From cocktails to dessert it was flawless and we were blown away. Our server Doug was outstanding. Attentive (but not overly so), relational and knowledgeable, he was a consummate professional who clearly took pride in his work in a way I have not seen outside of wait staff in Europe. The bread basket was a marvel. The cocktails balanced and bright. The shaved Brussels sprout salad was satisfying and not overdressed. My whole bronzino was expertly cooked and my wife’s braised pork cheeks were a masterpiece. The side of polenta and roasted mushrooms was comforting and deeply flavorful. The carrot cake dessert was an unexpected delight. Even the French press coffee was impressive. As an aside, it was particularly meaningful that the restaurant was so thoughtfully accessible for persons in wheelchairs. It’s nigh impossible to find any one of these elements done right at a restaurant these days much less all of them. I’m truly impressed and will be back again and again.
This was our first time too late harvest kitchen. The only thing that we were disappointed with was the fact that we waited so long to try this place. What an outstanding experience! The food was amazing, the prices were very reasonable and the service was impeccable. Our server, Chris, walked us through the entire menu, gave us suggestions, and was very knowledgeable. We will be back soon!
Such a quaint, hidden gem in a busy, busy area. The fresh food is exquisite, delicious and beautifully plated. Terrell, our server, was more than knowledgeable about all the dishes. Will definitely return next date night!
The food here is reliably good. It's not usually a seamless experience, but it's always solid at an approachable price point. This time, arrived to find a stranger seated at our group's table when the host seated us. There was some confusion about the reservations, I guess, but they removed her (awkward) and I guess found her actual party. The brussels sprouts salad was fine, perhaps a bit bland, but an appropriate size portion. The almonds would be better as pieces instead of a couple large almonds just sitting on the side. The grilled octopus with orange and olive was the standout, the broth at the bottom was delicious. The roasted fish was moist and it was helpful that they could filet it tableside, even though many bones were left behind. The sticky toffee pudding was dynamite like always, our large group was able to share one portion by just having a few bites each, which is plenty since it's rich. They have a nicely curated wine list. I hope they bring back the birthday cake on the menu, that makes a tough choice with the sticky toffee pudding.
Always a great experience at Late Harvest!
Food and service was excellent as always! The staff are knowledgeable and passionate about the menu and our server was very good recommending wines that paired well with our entrees. A great anniversary dinner!
The waiter was fantastic and the food was creative & delicious! We’ll definitely be back!
Excellent in every way.... Phil, our Server, was the best!
It's the 1st time at the restaurant. Truly enjoyed everything about it. Definite will come again
Love taking an out of town guest to a restaurant with delicious food and outstanding service! Thank you Nathan.
Yes I would recommend Late Harvest even though I was disappointed in the food this time. I’ve enjoyed many meals at Late Harvest in the past and hope it was just an off night for the quality of the cuisine. I thought the salads were a little tired and my fish entree was a bit undercooked. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious!
Everything about our experience was wonderful from the cocktails to the starters of wedge salad and General Tso pork belly to the grand finale of sticky toffee pudding. I would drive from Columbus again to dine here.
This is one of the best dining experiences in the Indianapolis area. I would highly recommend Late Harvest Kitchen for any occasion.
The food and service at Late Harvest Kitchen is always outstanding !
Great service, and ambiance. The food options are always fresh and creative which makes it hard to pick, so just get some of all!
We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food at Late Harvvest Kitchen. Everything eases tasty and there were unique offerings. We had a lovely table right next to the fireplace which was very nice. The only thing Inwould have liked is more vegetarian options. We’ll be back.
Always an amazing experience. Chef Ryan and his team do an amazing job creating a menu and executing it to the highest. The Jarbonara was soooo good!! Great service, great cocktails.
Birthday celebration. Great service and food. Lighting was a little dark.
Late Harvest Kitchen is one of the best restaurants in the greater Indy area. The cocktails are delicious with great service in the bar area by Brody and Murph. Their hospitality is second to none; they make you feel like friends and guests rather than just customers. The pork chop, scallops, and sticky toffee pudding were out of this world and we will definitely be back!
In going to Late Harvest Kitchen for a belated Valentine's Day dinner, we were extremely happy with the overall feel of the restaurant...soft lighting, low noise level, quick and proficient service. The bar was crowded so we went right for our table. We could enjoy the view of the firepit just outside, which only added to the ambiance. Our waiter, Brody, was excellent! Knew when to check on us throughout the meal. We started with the Strawberry Glazed Chicken Liver Tart - phenomenal and different! Next came the Escargot Rockefeller - even better! Be sure to ask for the daily bread selection to dip in the leftover butter! YUM! The Pork Chop and the Scallops were our entrée choices. The flavors were balanced and perfectly cooked. Presentation was also on point. We finished our meal with the Warm Toffee Pudding - HEAVEN!! Being a Kentucky girl, I found the Bourbon selection was well procured (add Angel's Envy Rye & Peerless Bourbon to the selection, please! :-)) Portions were large on all and we felt extremely blessed and satisfied from start to finish! Bravo LHK! We will be back soon!
Great porkchop. Wonderful potatoes Minneapolis........................................!!!!!!!!!!
Just not worth the price. Food was fine, but for that price should be very good if not great
Dining at LHK is always a wonderful experience.
Great food and awesome drink choices! Wife and I loved it! Of course it is not a everyday dining type of menu. Good for special occasions or dates! Can’t wait to go in summer and sit outside
Nathan was exceptional! Terrific menu knowledge - A+ all
Grilled octopus was outstanding
Everything we had was awesome. We had the pork cheek roast, a filet, and the rabbit. They have an excellent whiskey selection. Their wines are very good. The servers know so much about the wine and the food. Because there is almost no turnover in the wait staff, and ownership is very forward thinking, the veteran wait staff is very Attentive.
We tried Late Harvest Kitchen for the first time during Devour Indy, an excellent way to sample a restaurant for the first time, we think. We are repeat customers of North End Barbecue and were, too at Oceanaire when Chef Nelson was there. On this visit, his Pork Bolognese was excellent with a spicy ragu as was the beet salad. The Tandoori Mahi-Mahi also was excellent. One of the three of us had the chocolate muse, which she pronounced excellent with a quite large portion. Myself and the third diner had the Sticky Toffee Pudding. It was an extremely large amount which was so good we both finished it even after our dinners. Imagine our astonishment when, after we mentioned how good it was and the size of the portion, the server said it was a half order for Devour! I asked if anyone had ever finished the full order and was told only one gentleman had done so. Everyone else has taken at least half of it home.
Our only complaints were our waiter was assigned to an adjacent room and we were the only table in our section he was service so sometimes he was a bit slow to notice us, plus, in the smaller back room where we were seated, it was a little loud, but only due to one table of 6 who were certainly overly exuberant that evening. We will definitely return for the excellent food.
The food was amazing. Our waiter Nate was attentive and helped recommend excellent selections! I definitely suggest getting the Sticky Toffee Pudding. It’s to die for!
This is a place that's easy to drive by and miss as it's in a strip mall attached to an Old Navy, but it is not a typical strip mall restaurant. The bar is nice, but very small - probably seats about 20 people - but they have some great cocktails. My wife had the Racer No Chaser which was a great champagne cocktail. Our friend ordered the Passport which was a great ginger flavored cocktail that would be perfect summer drink by the pool. I had the Wisconsin old fashioned which had great black walnut bitters and was a very interesting take on a traditional cocktail. As far as food, the appetizers were the highlight of the meal. We ordered four and in order of best to worst they were - fish dumplings (amazing), fried oysters, escargot (traditional preparation but with a huge chunk of bacon at the bottom, and the octopus (which was good but didn't stand out like the others). For entrees we had rabbit dumplings, filet topped with bloody mary butter, and the pork chop. All were good, but if I go back I am ordering the pork chop and so should you. Definitely a place worth checking out.
Very good food and service. Very noisy making it difficult to converse with others.
Service was great food was good but not $100 dinner for 2 good
Expensive for Devour Indy size portions. Beef Bolognese was 4 star.
