Sorel soup & steak were amazing but everything else including service was a miss.
Simply the best steak frites around! The only place that divides the order into 2 parts to insure hot, fresh quality food on your plate at all times! The owner came to the table to make sure we were COMPLETELY satisfied and engaged us in delightful conversation for at least 10 minutes. Truly a great experience
Introduced to this place by Blackboard Eats. We had the steak frites - delicious but wish there was a bit less sauce so we could see the meat. The little gem salad, Mac and cheese and brownie were delicious. Our server was lovely.
First time at L'assiette and was really impressed. We tried a number of the appetizers and all of them were great. If you like Foie Gras, theirs is impressive. As our main, we all had the house specialty, steak frites, which comes out in two servings about 10-15 minutes apart. One serving was easily enough for me but it was an interesting idea that I think worked well. Come hungry it is a large meal as a reasonable price. Would highly recommend it.
Loved the food simple straight forward menu done well... great value and quality..
Their A/C was out and it was one of the hottest days in LA. Neither the manager or the wait staff apologized.
Granted it was a hot evening; however, the service was non-attentive at best. The steak is divided into two servings "so it stays hot". Neither serving was hot, and the second serving was like waiting for Jesus to return. Sitting over dirty plates for more than 10 minutes was unpleasant, but the sour seperated sauce on the first serving of the main course was worse- and it was room temperature. Really not impressed.
Small, quiet space with delicious food and good wine. Loved it
Excellent Steak Frites (as advertised) and the waiter was very nice and knowledgeable.
Food was not satisfying. Meat was tough. Fries were soggy.
Everything was great until three of the four of us had digestive issues shortly after leaving. We all had the same: truffle mac and cheese and steak. Won't be back.
Instead of dineLA they have a dinner for two that includes two glasses of wine but omits fussy and more options in each course.
The dates were superb, will definitely get them again. The Mac n cheese was meh.
The salad was good but hard to be exceptional, but it was very good and the spinach soup was as well. I would but get either again.
The steak frites is their signature dish and it's easy to see why. A very tender cut off meat cooked to perfection.
An excellent meal! This is why I do dineLA, to find places that put out a good meal.
Came for dinner with a friend for her birthday. Food was great. Parking is valet only.
The steak frites was amazing, I could of cut the steak with a butter knife, it was amazing
Very nice charcuterie plate. We had a party of ten. Attentive service. Individuals who had salmon reviewed it well. Those who had steak felt it was a bit chewey and not the quality of beef expected. Prices really moderate for LA.
I've been here now about 3-4 times and while each time the food is amazing, the service is not always on par. This visit it took awhile before we could order because I think there was only one waitress working much if not all of the restaurant. Then there was a mix up with what I ordered which was then ultimately rectified. I would just recommend that there be more wait staff on hand to be able to offer the customer service and match the wonderful food!
Always a delicious meal here.
This is one of the BEST meals you can find in Los Angeles
You have to get the steak. I added the truffle to mine and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Fries were excellent too. I recommend the truffle mac & cheese to start.
Great food, done correctly and the right level of service. Even better now that the menu has been expanded to include more choices for non-beef eaters. Could be noisy if the dining room was full, but we tend to go at off-hours.
