It was a good experience, one thing stop it from being great they don’t take American Express but they don’t mention it anywhere except when they bring you the check...a little to late.
Wonderful as always!
We are locals and really like La Salette. Our only suggestion is that they change their menu seasonally. The menu basically stays the same, and while delicious, it discourages us from dining there more than once or twice a year.
Our server was outstanding she described all the dishes and wine selections. Not knowing about the different Portuguese wines she allowed us to taste a few before making our selection which paired perfectly with the Fish Sew and Bronzino. The food was delicious very fresh and flavorful. There is nothing I would change about our dining experience. It was perfect
Fish was a little too salty. The traditional beef stew was tasty but had very little meat. The steak was good however it to was a small portion for the money. We probably would not go back.
Our Sunday lunch experience was fine in all regards. Our table was available at the requested time. The food was excellent, and the staff was helpful and attentive and professional. We very much enjoyed our visit, and recommend LaSalette to others without hesitation.
I love this restaurant!! The food presentation is beautiful, the food is delicious, the service is impeccable, and the venue is fantastic. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!!
Excellent presentation of dishes. Services was excellent and the food was very fresh! Definitely will return again!
Lovely evening and very attentive service
Love La Salette! Chef Owner Manuel is amazing
Love all the extra special touches.. a favorite!
Lovely evening. There were three of us, we ordered different dishes, and we all were very pleased. They never disappoint.
My wife is 100% Portuguese as both her parents came over while in their early twenties. Suffice to say, she knows authentic Portuguese food. La Salette exceeded her expectations as well as the rest of us. Cod Balls were delightful, the entrees were fresh and flavorful and the service was perfect. Highly recommend!
Excellent food. Excellent service. A great chance to explore something different from the usual. Charming place in a charming town.
The food was very good but I ordered the full fish and no one said anything to me about the fish bones and I got one stuck in my throat. I thought I would have to go to the hospital but after repeated helpings of bread I was able to move it down, and later, after leaving the restaurant, it finally dislodged. The waitperson should definitely warn customers that is it not deboned and to be very careful as almost every bite if you're not had fish bones.
It is very quiet, could use some nice music in the background to add to the ambience.
Sea nose bass
Lovely restaurant with great food and service. Just enough spice to make everything taste fabulous. Loved it!
Nice atmosphere and good service. Unfortunately I thought all of my food was too salty.
Seafood stew was great!
Wonderful meal with very good service. I shared the asparagus salad and loved it. The Portuguese seafood stew was a winner as always. One friend had the Portuguese national dish with pork, black beans etc was good but not as good as the seafood dish. Another friend enjoyed the sardines which I tasted but didn’t love. We had a great chocolate desert. We recommend it. We’ll go back again.
We loved the bluenose sea bass and the little gem salad as well. The service was excellent and we love the ambience at La Salette. Always a good choice for us!
The food was very good. The sauces/seasonings elevated and complemented the food without overwhelming. Love the unique seasonings. My halibut was fantastic although a tad over cooked. Scallops, steak, clams and desserts, (flan and sorbet flight) were outstanding. French press coffee was fabulous. Service was 5 *! Loved the Portuguese wine flights and must have sangria!
Great find in Sonoma. Lovely little restaurant; wonderful food.
Have been to LaSalette several times--usually sit outside on a lovely, quiet patio. Its Winter, so we sat inside, fireplace roaring, cozy on a rainy day, big windows, lovely decor, feels like being in Portugal. Authentic cuisine, interpreted wonderfully. Our 45th anniversary. Most others were there for: three friends at an adult birthday gathering; a young couple who just became engaged; three ladies who were enjoying their scallops-for-appetizers; two 30-something women at the bar; a family with an older gentleman who needed a wheel chair sitting comfortably in a private area in the back, which they had requested. At noon on a cold, rainy Saturday in the Winter, it filled up by 12:15 pm. Very popular, but mostly locals were there. When my daughter was in College we took her there and she loved it. Elegant, but still feels very comfortable and the personal attention is warm, not pretentious.
Wonderful time at LaSalette. Food was great and service is delightful. Although the restaurant was almost full, the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing, with attentive staff and very fresh food.
We tried 4 different sections and three desserts and each and every one was perfectly prepared, presented and delicious. Totally exceeded expectations and price to meal value was right where it would be expected.
Clearly will return.
Rarely find Portuguese restaurants and this one very good. Food, service and wine selection all very good. We enjoyed our meal.
While the restaurant was lovely and the food was overall reasonably good, my particular dish was too salty, and that overshadowed the other tastes in the dish. My husband, on the other hand had a seafood dish that was well prepared and tasty. The prices were on the high side, and for me, the food was not worth the price.
Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. The staff provided nice incites into the meal and researched our questions. Must eat here more often.
We love the staff and the food, great location and true gourmet experience!
Consistently excellent meals coupled with friendly service. We enjoyed dining outside.
I went in expecting it to be good and it greatly exceeded my expectations. Count me very impressed!
So happy that the original menu is back! We loved it!
We always go to La Salette when we go to Sonoma. Locals seem to go there regularly too.
Food is authentic Portuguese, very good quality, and relaxed yet professional service.
Excellent food. The asparagus soup was amazing!
Service was impeccable.
Love this place!
My favorite place to eat whenever I am in Sonoma.
Lovely quiet relaxing meal. Had a good wine recommendation from the server.
Somewhat limited menu but all items we tried were delicious!
Absolutely one of our best meals! We had cod cakes, bass and branzini. All were unique and perfectly served. Wonderful service and wine, as well.
The food was amazing and wine flights fit perfectly with the food. Both appetizers Octopus and Braised tongue had incredible sauces, fisherman stew had just the right amount of spice and both seafood and broth tasted great. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great wine and bread. The asparagus soup was bland and the Brazilian dish was $25 for rice and beans with no meat. Bland and disappointing.
