Interesting wine list, cozy atmosphere and fantastic service! Scallops appetizer is a must!
La Salette has been one of my favorite restaurants in Sonoma; this was the exception to the rule.
This is my first time since COVID. The food was as good as always as was the service,
Relaxing mellow ambience away from tourist crowds. Great place! Fisherman’s stew was awesome.
We started coming to LaSalette 15 or 17 years ago and when ever in Sonoma we always dine there. Such a nice break from all the Italian style restaurants in the area.
The next question on this survey is "Would you recommend LaSalette Restaurant to a friend?" ..... of course we would !!!!!!!!!
We celebrated our anniversary here with some friends. The restaurant is lovely and the food is delicious.
The best Portuguese restaurant in the SF Bay! Flawless execution and delivery…
Fabulous food wonderful atmosphere
Incredible food and dining experience. Super fresh and beautiful dishes
Excellent food and service
We didn’t get to finish our meal because they served my wife a dish that had been prepared with flour after we confirmed many times throughout the meal that they would be able to accommodate her allergy. Not recommended for celiac or anyone else with severe food allergies.
Everything was delicious, especially the wood oven roasted branzino. The wine list is well chosen and reasonably priced.
Kevin, our waiter, was simply wonderful and obviously loves his job and his wines! The food was astounding/-you must come here and try any of their seafood entrees -you will not be disappointed.
Hidden gem away from crowds! Fine dining in a lovely setting with indoor and outdoor options. Wonderful service as well. Always our go-to spot when we're wanting to treat ourselves to a wonderful experience!
Beautiful Saturday afternoon on the patio. Cod cakes and Scallops to start were delicious. Have never seen “Pork and Clams” on a menu so had to try! Outstanding.
Food was just AMAZING!!! We had the Branzino and the Pork and Clams Stew… beautiful!
Very pleasant ambience eating outside. Service cheerful, efficient and unobtrusive.
Food was imaginative and tasty. A very good experience.
Everyone enjoyed their meals and the atmosphere was quiet and seating was comfortable. I would definitely go back again and try some other dishes.
It was such a treat to try Portuguese food, and we (6) all enjoyed our meals. Our waiter was very good, and very knowledgeable about the food and the wine. Look forward to returning.
Excellent food. The octopus, pork belly and cod cake appetizers were excellent. We shared an entree that was a special - corvina. Also, excellent. Please do order the sangria as that was very good. We plan to visit a few more times.
Love this family-owned restaurant. Always delightful.
we always love going here. food and service are excellent as is the atmosphere. we can sit with our service dog (outdoors) and enjoy everything!
Always consistent food and service. We have been going to La Salette for many years and never been disappointed. Recommend hightly
Traveling to Sonoma
My wife and I shared the Heirloom Tomato Salad, she had the Caldeirada for dinner, and I ordered the Feijoada Completa. The food was quite delicious, though the portion size for the feijoada was a little bit small. Our server was great -- very friendly and helpful. We arrived a bit early for our reservation, which seemed to throw the hostess a bit. But overall she was also nice. Most of the wine we had was excellent, too, except for the first red in my wife's Portuguese wine flight, which oddly tasted like a white (not that there's anything wrong with white wines, but this white-like red just wasn't very good).
Overall, I would recommend LaSalette. While several of the places I've eaten in Sonoma have either been overpriced or underwhelming (or both), our meal at LaSalette was quite good and reasonably priced.
LaSalette is my favorite restaurant for lunch or dinner. The food is amazing along with the service.
I love this place ♥️♥️
One of the best restaurants in Sonoma if you're here try it you will not regret it.
Wonderful food, service and ambiance.
The food was Incredible. Service was extremely attentive. 1st time at a Portuguese restaurant. It was an outstanding experience.
Enjoyed our meal at LaSalette Restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was prompt and friendly. I will definitely return
Five friends together for a belated birthday lunch enjoyed the lovely ambiance of LaSalette's outdoor patio...Isabel was our very kind and courteous server, there when we needed her and leaving us to catch up during a 2.5 hour lunch! Had the fish of the day, seabass, which was a bit over cooked, over a lovely shredded kale, fresh corn salad...The scallop appetizer was the hit of the lunch, beautifully barely saute'd over a Japanese sweet potato mixture with a bit of heat. Will have this appetizer as
a lunch the next time. Husband's heirloom tomato salad with St. George cheese was
fantastic, he said...Have been dining at LaSalette since the wonderful chef first opened a restaurant in the 1990's at another location, and it is always a wonderful treat!
We celebrated our anniversary. The food was fantastic, service was great. Port is a must try!
As usual, your varied Portuguese menu held many solid choices. The caldo verde made a great start, like coming home. Octopus is always a favorite of ours, and this one was prepared perfectly. The sea bass special was prepared gently, with a range of flavors that did not overpower the delicacy of the fish.
Perfect ! Great food, good service in a very nice setting. We enjoyed the evening.
The food was good and the service was okay. The fisherman stew had a kick and the short ribs were pretty good.
Best little secret in Sonoma by far. Food was simply outstanding. Going back again tonight to try another dish. Quaint with great vibe, however the food was superb.
My wife and I dined here on the final day of our 12 day trip to wine country. This was the icing on the cake of a wonderful trip to Sonoma and Napa Valley. We started out with a great glass of Portuguese white wine from Douro. A nice break from the Napa wines all week. The salad we shared had a nice fresh acidic dressing with gorgeous mushrooms. I had the Fisherman’s stew. The fresh fish and broth to this dish was extraordinary on so many levels. A great layer of flavors. My wife had the Mac and cheese with chorizo sausage and a side of grilled corn. The corn was full of flavor. For dessert we shared a chocolate mousse to die for. I of course couldn’t resist the port flight. I think that anyone who gives a negative review to this restaurant has no idea about good quality food. I can’t wait to go back and try the pork and clams.
Super great food and service, only irritating thing was that the restaurant did not take AMEX
We celebrated a big birthday here and it was a great choice! The menu is interesting and the food was tasty (for the most part - the Pork & Clam was a bit salty). The servers were very accommodating of our special requests - changing to a different table, using our own table decorations, and even bringing our own cake! They waited patiently through our dining and extra activities. The ambience and location were fitting for the occasion as well. Since we had 5 people, gratuity was automatically added as stated in their policy, but they highlighted it on the bill so it'd be easy to notice - a thoughtful gesture! Thank you for contributing to a memorable evening. We look forward to coming back.
