Food was amazing and the staff were even better. Would recommend
I would highly recommend this restaurant. Had lunch with a friend on Friday, 3/16. The food and service were excellent. Would definitely return. We were seated under a speaker near the window facing 20th St. and the volume was loud. The waiter was able to lower the volume but the next visit I will pay closer attention to where we are seated.
Pasta for lasagna was unusually thick. Soup and salad were tasteless. Service was slow although friendly.
Third time here, first 2 were very good, this time was not. Brought a group of 11 here to have brunch for my fiancé’s 30th bday and the service was bad. Runner was visibly shaken, waiter was awful to him. People were given wrong meal, meals took forever to come out, and food came out very spread out. 2-3 people would get food then another 15-30 min would go by and another 2-3 people would get their food. To top it off 1 of the meals had a hair in it, which they did remake and comp. the whole experience was awful. I’d be hesitant to come back here and def would never bring a large group here ever again. Was embarrassed I made the suggestion to come here. This was our regular brunch spot when we come into the city, but we will be looking for a new place!
Service was slow and waiter kept forgetting drink order. Food did not come out together. One was held back from rest of order for about 5 min. Food was superb but a bit pricey.
So loud could not hard my carry on a conversation with people at our table!
My boyfriend and I stopped in Lasagna for brunch and loved it! The servers were friendly, prompt and entertaining. The place was packed but we were never without drinks - their bottomless drink deal with brunch is well worth it! Our food was also delicious and came out quickly. We we'll definitely be returning soon!
Couldn’t even get seated for my reservation. Was forced to leave
The food was delicious, the eggs came with the nova scotia salmon as they were supposed to, they did not substitute the cheaper lox for it. The noise level was high, but it was a young, happy crowd, which is fine. The only problem was that they did not know how to make a cup of tea, the water was tepid and the tea did not steep properly. Service however, is the strong point of this restaurant. The garlic bread was wonderful, I definitely would recommend it, and will return.
good choice before going to the Joyce Theatre. so enjoy the eggplant parmigiana and the manhattan truffle for dessert. prices have gone up a bit but portions are still generous. now if they would only honor my table request!
Service and food was excellent. However, our cost was taken by another diner at the restaurant, which put a sour note on the overall evening.
The set menu on Valentine's day was disappointing ((really wanted something else), and the dishes we got we're poorly prepared. The fish was so salty, and the mustard sauce was gluey...my husband's chicken dish was a clumsy slab of chicken breast with an unidentifiable sauce. The garlic stayed on my breath for 2 days.
Lasanga is a great place to go before the Joyce theater -- friendly service, good food, very relaxed atmosphere that is quiet enough you can have a conversation.
Amazing place! Great food and people! We went for a birthday and everyone was amazing accomidating our party! Great place!
Well presented, made to order, good Italian food. Great pre dinner before the Atlantic Theater, down the block!
Great food service and comfortable athmoshpere frendly and attentive staff
Went with some friends Friday evening. Hadn't been in about a year. Last time they had just raised the prices, and it looks like the raised them agin by about 20%. Still a decent value for the food that you get. We shared a carbonara for our appetizer, which was delicious. Our main courses (Parmigiana / Marsala / Saltimbocca were all very good with good sized portions.
I don't think I'll be going back on a weekend again, though. I have found I enjoy it much more during the week. The noise level Friday night was too much. Between the noise of the crowd and the awful background music, it was not a relaxing meal.
Next time I go I will make sure to go during the week..hopefully it will be a little less frenetic.
Lasagna and other italian food excellent. Good cocktail and wine choices. A neighborhood favorite!
Met up here with a friend for 'bottomless brunch.' Service was amazing. Absolutely everyone was courteous and friendly.
This is a great little restaurant in Chelsea. I saw this restaurant written up and have been wanting to try it. We had a group of 6 and weee seated immediately. This was Lasagnas 13th Anniversary and everyone in the party was given a glass of excellent Champagne to celebrate. Many different sections of Lasagna all made fresh. The waitress was excellent and was the food. The only issue was that the servers delivering our meals meals did not speak English well and came to the table and asked who ordered Lasanga. Condsidering we all did it was confusing as they did not know which plate was which. Fortunately our waitress did and was able to sort it out.
I’ll definetly go back.
If there is a word that describes ‘perfect in every way’ I would use that. Food was phenomenal, staff pleasant as could be and just the perfect place to have a great meal!
Lasagna is legit the best restaurant in NYC. I am obsessed.
The short rib lasagna was great! And the garlic bread was delicious too.
Restaurant was decorated beautifully. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Even tho it was a holiday we never felt rushed.
We have been to Lasagna a few times. Service is friendly and the atmosphere is casual. We ordered their specialty lasagna which was delicious. They also offer bottles of wines starting at $25. Overall a nice place to go for a meal. They automatically included a 20% tip for a party of two and when they brought out the receipt there was room for another tip, this we found odd to auto-tip for a party of two. This place is worth checking out especially for their lasagna dishes.
Great service and yummy food! The wine by the glass list needs improving but the food is pretty fantastic. Had a scallop appetizer and a lasagna for dinner.
The food is delicious! I love coming to this restaurant for special occasions with my husband - lasagne is his favorite! The server was very nice, and patient with us as we made up our minds about what to order from the enticing choices on the menu. Like a lot of NYC restaurants, the space is relatively small, and be prepared to go to the lower level for the restrooms. Totally worth it for the amazing Italian dishes! I'll be back!
Best Lasagna ever!! Good Food Great service and a must try!!
This was our first time here. Jose was the only server on. He was excellent. Food was delicious
and very generous portions. Jose checked on us numerous times. Very
Reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.
I chose Lasagna because I heard about their brunch. Every entree on the brunch menu comes with a drink and then you can upgrade to bottomless for 11 more. My friend and I did bottomless brunch. I arrived earlier than my friend and nearly two minutes after he sat down the waiter came to ask for our order. We said we were not ready but he told us we had to order now because there was a big party ready to order and if we didn't get our order in before the party, we would have to wait an hour for them to get their food. We said ok and thought he would still give us a minute or two but he stood nearly on top of us waiting for our order. We made a snap decision only giving the menu a quick look. I made the mistake of ordering the Cobb Salad. My salad was listed at 16.00, anyone who would pay 16.00 would anticipate a salad larger than one on a SALAD PLATE. I've lived in New York for 5 yrs and I've never seen something so sad. It was honestly offensive and unapologetic, anyone who would put that salad in front of me also knows its a giant rip off. The salad itself was not fresh, it was heavily dressed, and the portion was so tiny for the price it was just honestly really upsetting. I don't usually leave reviews but I feel offended that the restaurant even thought that it was a fair price for what they served me. My friend got 3 eggs with homefries, it was expensive for what he got but it wasn't as much as an abomination as my salad. We ate and our drinks were refilled 4 times while we were there. The final straw was that we were dropped the check within an hour and a half total of being there. There were 5 girls across from us who were also doing bottomless and they were given 2 hrs of bottomless. When we got the bill we just kept it on the table and continued to chat. Our waiter came over and told us we had to pay because they had other reservations. I've been to a lot of busy brunch places, and I've never been treated so poorly by staff
Hostess seemed hostile, her attitude only hurts the business for her lack of retraining in business management.
Great food at a great value. Try the short rib lasagna!
convenient to the Joyce, not just pasta, surprisingly empty on a performance night
They were great for my friends bday dinner
The food, as always, was excellent. Unfortunately, the kitchen staff was missing someone ( we were told) so orders were significantly delayed. We had a 7:30 curtain and , altho we sat down at 6:15 and ordered before 6:30, our food did not arrive until almost 7 pm. I have eaten at Lasagna many, many times and this was the first time such a situation occurred. it will not stop me from going back again... the food is always delicious!!
Service was amazing, the food was amazing! never let our drinks reach the bottom for our bottomless brunch! will be back soon.
For a place names Lasagna, the lasagna was surprising mediocre.....thick noodles, rather bland
Food was pretty good but the service left a lot to be desired. Once the food arrived, we asked for some condements which never arrived. We also told the waiter that we had a Bday and to see if they could bring candles and help celebrate by singing. Our request was totally ignored.
always reliable for the food, generous portions of the food and good wines by the glass although the pours could be more ample given the price.
This is a perfectly pleasant Italian restaurant with acceptable food. The barmaid was very friendly, as was our waiter, and the staff could not have been nicer or more efficient. As to the food, the meatball appetizer was truly delicious; the chicken Parmagiana was okay but positively choked with salt. When will chefs understand that one does not have to overdo the sodium to make something taste good? For that reason I can't recommend the place. I also think they should raise the lights a bit and lower the music. Otherwise, it's okay, and if you love lots of salt on your meal you'll probably have no objections.
