Las Tablas Colombian Steak House
Love The 🥩 Unfortunately The Steak Didn't Come Sizzling Like It Usually Does.
This place is amazing. Great food, great drinks, and great service.
Sauces came to the table almost empty— were they reused? Appetizer came with no sauce. Steaks came out not sizzling on the iron plate and were warm but not hot like they were just cooked. Our waters were never refilled the entire time. Printer wasn’t working and waited 20 minutes for a check and finally just said we would pay cash it would be walking out.
I understand restaurants have had to change with Covid, but the choices made here have been to serve subquality food, not cooked to order, with terrible hospitality but still charge full price. No thanks.
I can tell they were short staffed so it’s not the host/hostess fault but everything was slow and we had to cancel a few dishes since they never came. Also forgot the sides to my main entree. It was horrible.
Great food with pleasant and vibrant flavors. Generous portions so I was able to enjoy a 2nd time from my home.
The food was excellent! Also, I don't drink, and they were able to make me a fabulous mocktail on the fly...most restaurants it's like pulling teeth! Great place!
Overall it was a good experience. There was only one waiter so at first it took some time for someone to come to our table but after that it went well. Food was good, but the meat was somewhat undercooked. Desert was delicious, we had the tres leches cake!
Excellent staff & food!
We visited for restaurant week and will definitely be back!
This used to be a fabulous Colombian restaurant. I used to fast before I came here to eat. The picada Colombiana was my jam. I don’t know what happened to it. The chicken was dry. The steak was burnt, the services was slow. Maybe the cooks changed after Covid i don’ know. I hope they make changes to restore their old glory!
Love that place. A little pricey and small entraña steak with the combos. But overall a good place.
Great food and experience! I would recommend them anytime!
We had to wait for like 20-30 mins to be served, they need more servers for such a big place. Other than that The food was delicious
Fabulous as always! Service was excellent!
Great service... yummy food... what more can you ask for now and days 😊
I love love love love this place!!!
Made a reservation on February 8th for Valentine's day. Got all dressed up and nice. Showed up on time in which the Hostess asks, "Did you have a reservation?" She then continues with informing us they have sold out of food! No steak, no chicken, no phone call.... spent $50 in Uber rides in what was undoubtedly the worst Valentine's Day dinner (or non-dinner) ever.
I took my date on Valentine's day and they ran out of most of their menu items. Their steak was the whole reason I went and they had none. They also ran out of other meats and didn't even have avocado left. Desserts were limited also. I was expecting at least a complementary item due to the evening being ruined and none was given.
Our first experience at Las Tablas was an absolute terrible one. My girlfriend and I thought we were making the right choice when picking this steakhouse to accommodate us on our very first Valentine's Day together. We made reservations a week in advance at the Lincoln Ave location. We drove an hour from the suburbs in snowy conditions to celebrate our Valentine's Day there. We parked along the street on Lincoln Ave and paid the parking meter. When we arrived in Las Tablas, we were greeted and brought to our table. Everything seemed great at the moment. However, we soon would find out from our server that the restaurant was all sold out of Steak, Fish, and Shrimp. Which, as you could imagine, was incredibly disappointing (given that their sign logo/sign includes the words "Colombian Steakhouse" on it). The thrill of dining in this restaurant instantly turned into embarrassing regret. Our server attempted to sell us on the chicken, but we explained that we already ate chicken for lunch and were anticipating a steak dinner on our special day. Due to the disappointing limitations, we decided to pass on dinner entrees. In all, we only ordered two drinks and Empanadas before paying our bill and then leaving. The drinks and appetizers were delicious, however, our night... was ruined. We had looked forward to our visit, but we now plan on never going back.
Really delicious food!!!
While I enjoyed the food, as usual and the waiter was very attentive, we had to wait too long to be seated. At the time we arrived, restaurant was not that crowded. Only had one hostess and she was busy seating another party.
The food was so delicious and presented well. The drinks were fresh and balanced. There was only one server so the service was a bit slow. Overall it was a great experience
My first time eating here and it was absolutely fantastic!!
The food was amazing and such professional service!
You guys made my birthday truly special!
Driving 1.5 hours to the restaurant was so worth it!
I will be back soon!!
Gracias por todo!
We always have a great time here. Servers are super sweet. Food is consistently good. Wine is very nice as well, especially the “Los Haroldos Cabernet reserve!”
Consistently good food. Great exposure to Columbian cuisine. Most entrees should be shared. Service can be a little inattentive.
Great food, even better service! Fernando was the best!
I've had my eye on this place for a while and I'm so glad I finally went! I got the regular platter for two and it was well worth the price. I definitely plan to come back to try their seafood.
We made a reservation for 7:15 and upon arrival were told they had overbooked and even if we had a reservation the wait was still +2 hours. We did not stay and left immediately.
I have been to Las Tablas on 2 prior occasions and both times the wait was not as bad as this time. I had reservations to which we had to wait to be seated for like 15-20minutes after we checked in. The restaurant doesn't have like a waiting area, so you have to wait at the door and since the bar and some tables are there you are constantly moved to make room for people to pass by. Once we were seated our waitresses introduced herself and was attentive. Nonetheless, we had to wait over an hour for our food to be served. The food was delicious, but having to wait for so long can prevent you from tasting and enjoying the food.
It was just ok. Not really worth the money. Much better places for the same value.
Food and drinks were amazing. Definitely will b going back
It’s my boyfriends first time trying out Colombian food. He loved it.
The food was delicious and the vegetarian options were abundant. Loved the fresh fruit smoothies and especially the coconut lemonade! We’re definitely coming back soon!!
Really good pork & shrimp combo. Wide selection of other items. Something for everyone. Consistently good.
A near perfect dining experience. The staff was friendly and attentive. The prices were beyond reasonable and the portions generous. The wine list is somewhat limited (not a bad thing!), but we were able to get a wonderful Malbec for about $40 (I think that was the most expensive bottle on the list too!). My steak was a perfect steakhouse medium-rare and well-seasoned. I personally would have liked a little salt and pepper on the potato and yuca, but being a traditional Colombian restaurant I wasn't about to embarrass myself by asking. Besides, they also provided a nice mix of sauces with our appetizers that worked just as well. They offer a nice selection of desserts should you have room (the Tres Leches was definitely one of the better ones I've had). Would definitely dine here again!
Always amazing service !! To bad I forgot my coconut flan on the table 😱
Food was so good!
We went to Las Tablas for Restaurant Week and LOVED it. Getting seated was pretty hectic/disorganized (I presume because of Restaurant Week), but once we were seated the service was excellent. The decor and ambience were great, and we absolutely loved all of the food. The regular menu is a bit pricy, but the Restaurant Week menu is a steal. Highly recommend!
