Food was delicious, restaurant was small so be sure to make reservations. The only downside to the small part is your sharing conversations with the people next to you. Food was worth it though:)
Horrible ! They are rude .
Didn’t acknowledge us for 20 minutes and then proceeded to not seat us . They do not have open table but still don’t take it off here . Then are mean about it .
FYI they don’t take opentable anymore. Luckily we were the last people without a reservation through the restaurant to be seating and it was only 7:30pm. They turned down everyone else after us who reserved through opentable.
Tasty authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices at this cozy BYOB. Will go back. Just wish they made margaritas!
A small neighborhood restaurant with very good food, very moderate prices, and nice service. Oh, and BYOB.Who could ask for more?
My boyfriend and I went here last week on a Sunday. They had a cute outside seating area that we would have taken advantage of if it wasn't cold out. This restaurant is BYOB and upon arriving our waiter got us an ice bucket, some wine glasses, and opened up our wine for us. The place is very cozy and romantic. The food is delicious. We got empanadas that were awesome. My boyfriend got steak and I got a shrimp dish. The seafood was very fresh and he really enjoyed his meal. The portions were big too. I would defiantly go back to this place, either on another date night or just with a couple girlfriends.
Always a delicious and authentic Mexican meal at Las Cazuelas. We keep returning because it's SO tasty. My favorite are the enchiladas mole- SO yummy and the mole is very much like the real deal in Oaxaca!!
The service was excellent and it's also a BYOB and they'll provide a choice of 3 fruit mixers for tequila if you bring it.
They usually have a deal running on Groupon but not this time. That's ok because it's very reasonably priced!?
I went here on an impromptu date with my boyfriend. The food was amazing. We shared the shrimp ceviche as an appetizer along with the chips and green salsa. My boyfriend had the enchiladas de mole which had a nice level of spice and contained moist and juicy chicken inside. I had the enchiladas de congrejo which are probably the best I've ever had. The fact that it is BYO just adds to the value factor. We will definitely be back.
Staff was friendly and food was great. Will definately eat here again and bring a bottle of wine (BYOB).
This place was mostly fun because it was a BYOB! Everything else was okay
Food was great..just don't order the $9 gracuamole...they literally give u like two small scoops. Not enough for two people. Everything else was worth it
Awesome food as usual! Love coming to this little neighborhood gem. Sometimes we can get in without a reservation but this last time they were running at full capacity so it's better to call ahead. The wait staff were great. They are always accommodating. It was on the louder side during this last visit because of a few parties of 10+ (College- aged birthday partiers, enough said) but usually this is not the case. They are good for groups or for date nights. It's BYOB, and their pitchers of margaritas are great! Look forward to coming back again.
Is BYOB and the food is absolutely incredible!
amazing food and great service! would recommend to a friend
Las Cazuelas is perfect for a casual dinner for two or a large event or party. The food is fantastic and the service is always great. I've been here many times and have always had amazing experiences. It's hands down my favorite Mexican and BYOB restaurant in Philadelphia!!
Authentic and good pricing! Must try their margaritas but BYOT!
We were greated immediatly. Our server came over quickly. She was friendly and knowledgeable. Once we ordered food came quickly and was delicious.
Great time! Awesome food! Nice service. Next time...we'll bring the tequila!
Delicious authentic Mexican food with creative menu. Nice atmosphere nice staff byob!
Everything about this was great. The server recommendations were very much to our taste, there were tons of options, and the food we ended up ordering (1/2 recommendations and 1/2 things we spotted on our own) was interesting and absolutely delicious. Service was quick and helpful, and we will definitely be back!
We ended up here after there was a 2 hour wait at another restaurant. This is a very cute BYOB. The food was very fresh & reasonably priced. I definitely would go back.
I had Great experience! Loved the food and the ambience. Will be back for more.
Food is always fresh and so good! I would highly recommend.
I used to love this place, but the last few year the quality of the food has gone down some and the service has gone down tremendously. I made a reservation for five people four hours a head of time but when we got there, there was no table for five available for a half hour. It took over 20 minutes for anyone to even bring us water. We felt ignored and it was so loud we couldn't hear each other. This is the second time I have had extremely slow service. You need better trained hosts and more wait staff.
Always one of our favs!! Great food, ambience and good service!! If you bring your own tequila they will provide pitchers of mixers for you for seven bucks!! Nice!! We used a great Groupon for 4 this time and we had 6 people total so it was a savings for sure!! Authentic Mexican too!! Will return soon!!!
We went here on a Groupon and the food was very average. The waitress however was top notch and was very knowledgeable about their food.
We like the food, and the nice service, and enjoy eating at "Las Caz" now and then.
I have been in Las Cazuelas before for another business dinner which is why I choose the location. The service was good, and our waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable allowing one of our business associate to taste the Mole since he has never had it before. I would say they need to work on their timing as they interrupted the flow of our conversation and did not acknowledge the interruption make it a little frustrating, but other than that it was great. I will visit it again and will certainly recommend to others.
This place was too pricey for mediocre food. The white rice that came with my dish with the crab enchilada was undercook and enchilada it self was very small for such an expensive dish.
We were seated in the service area where there were a lot of awkward interruptions. The waitress wasn't knowledgeable in the menu and the service was slow at first when there were hardly any patrons at the restaurant when we were there
Love the decor, food was really good. Had a great time with my kids on mothers day
It was better last time but still worth coming back. They didn't have our table even with the reservation and it took a while to be seated. The food was fine in some dishes bu the taco plates were very plain.
Still an authentic mexican restaurant.
We've been going to Las Cazuelas since it opened almost 20 years ago. You don't stay around that long on the highly competitive Philly restaurant scene unless you really deserve it - and Las Cazuelas truly does, because it's that good. The food is authentic, not the generic stuff of most "Mexican restaurants". Their guacamole is great, of course. But where else can you get cactus stem tacos?? The mole poblano is a huge chicken breast with a wonderfully rich mole that's neither sweet nor heavy - it's a sauce that punches well above its weight! The shrimp ceviche was fabulous, and my wife loved her arroz con pollo. The huitlacoche tacos (corn smut & onions!) were another delicious example of food you can't get elsewhere around here. This is a unique and special place, and we love it!
Perfect location for great food at a good price! Only BYO Mexican around!
Authentic, honest Mexican - BYOB and very reasonable - their Mole Poblano is excellent.
Wish we were given a better seat. We were nearly in the kitchen making conversation impossible and the view less than attractive. Food was excellent! Waiter very patient and extremely helpful. Only criticism (and this is minor), wish the tortilla chips for the table were warm.
We had a 930 reservation but we're rushed because they "close at 10." Chicken was dry.
It was alright
great meal- I recommend the mole pollo- also had a mixed salad
The taquitos and apps are the way to go. The entrees are small for the price they charge and didn't really wow me and my boyfriend. We got the shrimp chipotle entree and it just tasted like marinara sauce. The tacos were very delicious and good price! Also know it's BYOB for anyone who didn't read the details like me.
