View Private Dining DetailsGreat place to dine before a show. The service and food are always a delight!
The food was delicious. I ordered the dishes my waiter recommended and he was spot on. I can’t wait to return.
Wonderful brunch, especially the seafood selections and wonderful Bananas Foster. Try for an outdoor table for a really special experience. Service was outstanding, kudos to Antonio for taking extra care to make our brunch outstanding.
The service is outstanding. Very attentive service team.
Food was excellent although my wife thought her gnocchi was too rich in cheese. My stripped bass was fabulous. Our server was knowledgeable even though just a bit aloof. Ambiance was superb.
Have been going here for Sunday Brunch for over 20 years. Used to be a couple times a month, but since we have moved away now it is only once a year, unfortunately. On occasion would come for special dinners. The service is outstanding and the food is to write about.
Although the brunch offered an amazing selection of food, I bring a petite female , could not justify the price for the amount I ate. It was all delicious, but felt it was slightly overpriced... mid 30 price range more appropriate
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and had brunch at Las Canarias. Everything was delicious and they even served us a special dessert. Highly recommend.
Service was great!
Great meal! Great service and setting.
A delicious, beautifully displayed Easter Brunch, in a very special setting. Warm & attentive servers. Will definitely recommend & return!
Great Easter brunch! Great atmosphere and excellent food. The customer service was fantastic!
Slow service. Less than average food
We celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary at Las Canarias. It has become our favorite special occasion dining place. The food is exquisite, the ambiance soothing and the customer service outstanding.
It is a very classy restaurant. The food was excellent and our waiter was very nice. We will definitely come back. The view of the river walk was amazing.
The brunch buffet was excellent. The pastry chef put out a fabulous display of little tarts and desserts. Banannas Foster were made to order.
Very good place for brunch. Perfect ambiance an food selection. Service is professional and staff appears well trained. Unfortunately, in our case, required calling for service.
Amazing food and service for a very large party of 24
Las Canarias was absolute perfection! We had a nice, quiet , ROMANTIC dinner with candlelight and did I mention the food was magnificent!!
The food was delicious and beautiful. The service was exquisite. But best of all, it is quiet enough for conversation.
Always a good choice when visiting San Antonio! Guitar player is wonderful. Staff is always attentive and friendly. Leave room for dessert- large selection.
Rick was our sever for dinner and he was awesome! We went back to the brunch on Sunday and Greg was our server. He was fantastic! We go every tim we are in San Antonio.
Thank you Terri
What service, ambiance, and cuisine! We were instantly greeted by name upon entrance. We were also seated at a scenic window view on the River Walk. We are diners who love to taste local options, so we tried the ceviches, scallops, salads, etc. All of the entrees looked to be excellent as well. Thank you for the superb service and cuisine.
Great food & great service. We will definitely go back.
Amazing dishes and excellent service. Try the crab soup and scallops. .
Great outdoor dining
The filet minion is amazing I ordered it medium rare and my wife ordered it medium and both were fantastic. It was so good my wife wanted to go back for breakfast and she was just as excited about the quality and presentation. It was a home run for her birthday.
Ulysses was an incredible waiter! Perfect service!!
It was a wonderful place to dine. We could talk and hear one another. The food was delicious.
Absolutely delicious food and attentive service. The only problem we had were that the chair cushions are well worn and made the long dinner uncomfortable.
breakfast , was okay .
Outstanding
Although the wait person was slightly off rhythm with us, she was attentive. The meal was incredibly solid. The butternut squash soup was sweet and fresh punctuated by toasted pecans which gave it lovely texture and added to the flavor. The pasta dish was cooked appropriately with a spicy Italian sausage and tangy, mildly sweet marinara, very nice. The meal was closed with a tasty chocolate cake covered in a thick layer of chocolate ganache seated in a creamy custard garnished with fresh berries. Lovely meal provided in an equally lovely setting. Highly recommend.
Our 1st, but not last, brunch here was a delight! My sisters, D, 90 & E, 86 & I, 74 were at a hotel less than a block away, so we walked. D has very limited mobility, so I pushed her in a wheelchair. Upon arrival, there was no ramp at the 1st hotel entrance we came to. I went inside & a woman (in management) came outside to point the way to the ramp (in the motor lobby), but ended up guiding us all the way to the restaurant. It was a really convoluted journey to get there that involved two elevators, a far trek, & left us wondering how to get back. Steps would have gotten us there faster, but alas, not possible! Having read that dining is on 3 levels, access by steps only, I had requested accessible seating. They accommodated us w/seating on the brunch buffet level. The staff was more than helpful in every way. D is a life-long picky eater, and E & I eat low carb/high fat, grain free & sugar free. We found many delicious food items that met our requirements. We had them remove the champagne & mimosa glasses, as we don't drink alcohol, but told our server to keep the coffee coming! We also splurged & had a glass of high carb orange juice! E & I filled plates for D, & she really enjoyed the meal. Ambiance was comfortable & quiet. Guitar playing was unobtrusive. Food choices were many, varied, delicious, & well-presented. We splurged & had Bananas Foster for dessert-EXCELLENT! We tried some other desserts, but they lacked flavor & freshness(our only critical comment). Our server, Efrain, was wonderful. Coffee cups were kept filled and used plates were removed. Upon request, he brought E & me a piece of gluten free toast. At the end of the meal we asked Efrain to point the way to get back to the motor lobby. He did better than that; he removed his waiter's apron & pushed D's wheelchair all the way back with no elevators and a much shorter route than coming in! He knows his way around! All of his service was outstanding! We highly recommend this Sunday brunch to all.
We’ve been here 3 times and service has always been top notch. Atmosphere and location are great. We’ve always gotten the buffet in the past and have enjoyed the large selection it offers overall (if not each item). Unfortunately, I ventured out and got the creme brûlée French toast off the menu this last time and it was impossibly dense and, while the taste was very good, I just couldn’t eat it.
We had an excellent dinner. We ate outside overlooking the River walk. Our waiter was fantastic. The food was exceptional and prepared just the way we wanted. And dessert and coffee was the perfect way to finish up before our carriage ride. We look forward to our next visit.
Very nice experience and friendly staff...food was tasty and we'll displayed
Great food!
If you are staying at the hotel, La Mansion, it is convenient and pleasant. I wouldn’t make a special trip there.
The food was good. There wasn’t much variety though. We went for the brunch buffet but it was already over by noon on New Year’s Day . Service was good and the ambiance was also good.
