I continuously give Las Campanas another chance knowing full well the food is far below mediocre. It's amazing how bad the food could be, since it is in the historic Mission Inn, known for quality and fine ddining experiences. The ambiance lures me back to give the food another shot time and time again. Each time though I'm disappointed and kicking myself for spending the money on overly cooked fish (to the point of being hard to the touch) overly salty guacamole, margaritas that are way too sweet even when I asked for no sweet and sour, and shrimp that is still raw. I'm not sure the owners care about this part of the Mission Inn, since it is not getting better in quality.
Could ask for a better time. Server Saloman was great. Our heater didn't work initially but the crew got us another one. A tad pricey, but the outdoor ambiance was fantastic.
My 3rd time at this outdoor restaurant and I really love the ambiance. When eating here it seems like a special occasion each time
The food is always good and enjoyed the Make at the table guacamole!!
The margaritas are delicious
Great food, great service! Would definitely recommend to others.
The menu has been very reduced. The Margaritas are only ok and the food was not great. Service was slow and inattentive. The only positive here is the chips and salsa. I won’t be back.
A lovely evening with family...in a lovely setting
I was disappointed in the fact that I made a reservation and still had to wait over 30 minutes for a table. The purpose of a reservation, I thought, was to ensure timely seating. I brought my significant other to show him how wonderful Las Campanas was and to treat him to a night out. Due to the reservation being a waste of time, we had to rush through our meal to make it to our next scheduled plan. The food was wonderful as always but overall, we were disappointed.
Excellent as always. You can't beat the ambiance of Las campanas. Food is great also.
The food was stale and mediocre. We weren’t impressed at all. Service took forever.
The ambiance gives you a feel good feeling. Like you've finally found what you've been looking for.
Long wait to be seated is my only complaint. It was worth the wait though. Excellent experience.
We enjoyed our experience and would return again.
Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the food got to our table very quickly. I will definitely be coming back
We went for Valentines and had a great time! They even brought over the cupcake I ordered from Casey's Cupcakes. It was a real treat and surprise.
The main dinner was excellent in taste and looked nice when served. The dessert was not good. The "special" muffin was dry, there was hardly any ice cream and the whole was covered with a huge amount of whipped cream that occupied half the space. A waste of money and no response was made by the waitress when I mentioned how bad it was.
Great service and decor was so nice to enjoy an early Valentine's dinner ..lots of great photo areas .. red hearts and white lights everywhere sets the tone for a very nice experience ...
Enjoy dining at Las Campanas when at Mission Inn. Service is friendly and efficient. Food is generally very good Mexican food. Desserts are very good. Margaritas are large and well crafted. The ambiance associated with Mission Inn is outstanding.
We usually love this place but this time I had to send my food back twice all I got was cheese enchiladas so shouldn’t be that difficult first time came out with green sauce when I asked for red which was fine so they took it back 2nd time cheese wasn’t even melted on the inside and was cold. Waiter only came around twice and we had to flag him down anytime we needed anything never refilled our drinks etc. very poor service this time and nothing was even done for the mistakes with my food
Great food, the service was attentive but not overbearing. Speciality drinks were good and lots of choices for everyone in our party. Certainly not overpriced. Lovely patio setting and our table was waiting for us despite the crowds. Always better on a weekend to find a place that honors reservations. Recommend with pleasure.
We have eaten here several times and love it! Great food, great service, and wonderful atmosphere!
not my first time there. I arranged to meet two couples there. friends from army days 47 years ago, they were from Iowa and Oregon. they were thrilled with the site and ambience. we had a lot to catch up on, but we were not hurried by the waitress. good food, excellent desert. we will have lasting, pleasant memories
Thank you Raul and his great staff for accommodating our party of 19-after my Mother in laws funeral. She loved margaritas so we toasted to her memory. Raul was of great service and the food was excellent. Thank you Mission Inn staff, Raul and this fine place for making a sad day a bit brighter.
The only pleasant part of this restaurant is the beautiful atmosphere and the drinks. Other than the guacamole appetizer, the food is bland, incredibly average in appearance, and wholly unworthy of the expensive price. Local spots such as Anchos and El Torito are significantly superior. Furthermore, the service here is understaffed and unprofessional.
Unfortunately, Las Campanas is a beautiful space ruined by poor management.
We were visiting from out of town and while we stayed at the Mission Inn, we could smell the inviting aromas from Las Campanas when we walked pass the entry way. Well we finally dined there on one of the evenings, and it was definitely a very nice dining experience!
Great fish tacos and carne asada tacos. Large portions. Fresh ingredients.
Good lunch, little over priced but good atmosphere.
Overall the food was great! But what was disappointing was my card was charged twice & when my bank alerted me during the end of my meal I alerted the waiter he said sorry that the machine had been acting up , since it was a weekend my bank did not correct the issue until Tuesday so if someone needed or was counting on that extra cash they would of been screwed! The location is beautiful but I would suggest to Pay cash
Beautiful location, outdoor dining . Food is mediocre at best, service leaves much to be desired.
Food was ok and the setting was nice. The service was not that good.I say overall it was a lil highly priced but the scenary is nice for a date night.
My self and my date were a bit late but they still got up right to a tale the food was fantasic
Beautiful outdoor patio restaurant at the wonderful Mission Inn. Food was so so - I make better tacos as the food was rather bland for Mexican - i.e., it could use a little spice! But we were going to the Fox Theater for a play and it was nice and close. Our waiter made sure that we were out on time and was very nice.
It took 50 minutes for our food to arrive. Spoke with Manager. We arrive in time for our reservation.
Beautiful outdoor seating area. Food was delicious.
We had a lovely outdoor lunch. Delicious food and fantastic tropical atmosphere.
Festival of Lights was amazing. Food and service ok..
Great outdoor dining with the Christmas lights. Fajitas were wonderful.
Great service and excellent ambiance..I will definitely go back again... we went during the Festival of Lights which made it even a more wonderful...experience ..
Every year, we eat at the Mission Inn for my birthday, which happens to be toward the end of the Festival of Lights. This was by far the most disappointing experience we have had and has us considering if we want to return in future years. We were seated at 2:30, ordered food by 2:45 and did not have our meals until 3:45. When we finally received our entrees, the food was a let down. The fajitas were drowning in a salty marinade that tasted more like teriyaki than Mexican and were brought out with no tortillas (we had to ask). My husband’s enchiladas were tasty though. The manager didn’t seem the least bit phased when we shared our situation. Overall, it was a hugely frustrating experience, much different than the prior year.
Great Fajitas, beautiful ambiance.
Food was decent but atmosphere, service, and views were outstanding.
