Las Campanas Ratings and Reviews
The main dinner was excellent in taste and looked nice when served. The dessert was not good. The "special" muffin was dry, there was hardly any ice cream and the whole was covered with a huge amount of whipped cream that occupied half the space. A waste of money and no response was made by the waitress when I mentioned how bad it was.
We usually love this place but this time I had to send my food back twice all I got was cheese enchiladas so shouldn’t be that difficult first time came out with green sauce when I asked for red which was fine so they took it back 2nd time cheese wasn’t even melted on the inside and was cold. Waiter only came around twice and we had to flag him down anytime we needed anything never refilled our drinks etc. very poor service this time and nothing was even done for the mistakes with my food
Great food, the service was attentive but not overbearing. Speciality drinks were good and lots of choices for everyone in our party. Certainly not overpriced. Lovely patio setting and our table was waiting for us despite the crowds. Always better on a weekend to find a place that honors reservations. Recommend with pleasure.
not my first time there. I arranged to meet two couples there. friends from army days 47 years ago, they were from Iowa and Oregon. they were thrilled with the site and ambience. we had a lot to catch up on, but we were not hurried by the waitress. good food, excellent desert. we will have lasting, pleasant memories
Thank you Raul and his great staff for accommodating our party of 19-after my Mother in laws funeral. She loved margaritas so we toasted to her memory. Raul was of great service and the food was excellent. Thank you Mission Inn staff, Raul and this fine place for making a sad day a bit brighter.
The only pleasant part of this restaurant is the beautiful atmosphere and the drinks. Other than the guacamole appetizer, the food is bland, incredibly average in appearance, and wholly unworthy of the expensive price. Local spots such as Anchos and El Torito are significantly superior. Furthermore, the service here is understaffed and unprofessional.
Unfortunately, Las Campanas is a beautiful space ruined by poor management.
We were visiting from out of town and while we stayed at the Mission Inn, we could smell the inviting aromas from Las Campanas when we walked pass the entry way. Well we finally dined there on one of the evenings, and it was definitely a very nice dining experience!
Overall the food was great! But what was disappointing was my card was charged twice & when my bank alerted me during the end of my meal I alerted the waiter he said sorry that the machine had been acting up , since it was a weekend my bank did not correct the issue until Tuesday so if someone needed or was counting on that extra cash they would of been screwed! The location is beautiful but I would suggest to Pay cash
Beautiful outdoor patio restaurant at the wonderful Mission Inn. Food was so so - I make better tacos as the food was rather bland for Mexican - i.e., it could use a little spice! But we were going to the Fox Theater for a play and it was nice and close. Our waiter made sure that we were out on time and was very nice.
Every year, we eat at the Mission Inn for my birthday, which happens to be toward the end of the Festival of Lights. This was by far the most disappointing experience we have had and has us considering if we want to return in future years. We were seated at 2:30, ordered food by 2:45 and did not have our meals until 3:45. When we finally received our entrees, the food was a let down. The fajitas were drowning in a salty marinade that tasted more like teriyaki than Mexican and were brought out with no tortillas (we had to ask). My husband’s enchiladas were tasty though. The manager didn’t seem the least bit phased when we shared our situation. Overall, it was a hugely frustrating experience, much different than the prior year.
I took my family to Las Campanas to have a nice diner before viewing the lights. Everyone was nice but we waited a very long time (45 minutes) for our APPETIZERS. I looked around because I thought they might have been busy but there were still a lot of empty tables. They didn’t have much variety of food or drinks, would be nice to have aguas frescas at a Mexican restaurant. The flautas were good but the ceviche lacked flavor. Maybe I just had higher expectations.
Despite the confusion about whether they would serve New Year's Day brunch, the lunch was very pleasant. Had the cheese quesadillas which were delicious, and calamari cooked oerfectly. The outdoor patio is beautiful, the staff from the host to the chips server very personable and efficient.
