We actually made a reservation for outside seating and we got the table we wanted closer to a great view of the ocean and surrounding beauty. We enjoyed the appetizer, salads, and main course which was scallops and the salmon.
Wonderful service and like that the manager comes to inquire how everything was from time to time!
Gorgeous view, good food, attentive service. Relaxing and very pleasant lunch at a Laguna Beach institution.
The view writes a check that the institutional quality food can’t cash.
We made reservations for 6. They asked if we were ok with sitting in the sun on the patio. We were ok with this until the food took too long. I got sunburned from waiting for our food. My kids were miserable. Had we known service would take so long we would have never sat in the sun. My husband purchased the brunch but never received his main entree. We had to ask for his entree to go because the rest of us finished our food and were continuing to bake in the sun. We also never received his dessert which was included in the brunch price. We were told that the manager "took care" of this however we were never given the itemized receipt. I was texted my receipt which was just an invoice with the final charge plus the 20% tip which wasn't deserved. Overall, we were not happy with our experience and plan to contact the restaurant for an itemized receipt as we are not sure what the manager took care of since our bill for 6 (2 kids meals) still came to over $260. We will never come back.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday brunch. The view was fantastic, the food delicious, and the service very good. The restaurant was very busy, however the staff kept pace with it. We will be back.
The waiter was excellent, he took care of our entire part of 7 people. The General Manager was great as well. We all had a very good time. We'll be back! Thanks!
This is the only bad review I have ever given a restaurant. I dine out 2-3 times a week and have been happy with all previous experiences in the OC beaches area dining establishments. I typically am easy to please and do not like writing a negative review. If it was an untypical evening for this restaurant then I would understand. They said they had overbooked, but I feel like it was an excuse they may give often. There were no apologies for being seated an hour after our reservation time.
We arrived on time for our 7:30 PM reservation and were informed that the reservations were running 20 minutes behind due to a problem with their online (OpenTable) reservation service. We were most annoyed when the twenty minutes came and went and we were still not seated. It was a full hour past our reservation time when we were finally seated. In fairness, the hostess, the manager, and our waiter did everything they could to make up for the inconvenience and even comped us a couple of appetizers. In the end, we found the dining experience to be exceptional. These things can happen.
Took a friend visiting from Switzerland for dinner with view.
While the location and view is fabulous, the service was almost non-existent. We sat in the bar area and it was extremely loud (but, not in a fun, bustling bar sort of way.) It took far too long to get our beverages. And, the server never checked on us. We also ordered some chips and guac/salsa which were not very tasty. When we looked at the fairly limited menu we noticed that while creative, there was no real traditional Mexican fare and the prices were outrageous for what was offered. Our experience was so poor that we paid for our chips/salsa, 2 sodas, plus the $10 parking fee (for a total of $40!) and bolted!
Nice table by window with beautiful view. Great server
The Venue is beautiful, but the food is just okay, not great.
Average food, Expensive drinks
The host, AJ (first day as a host), and our server (I believe her name was Sally) provided great customer service! Felt taken care of and attended to from the first step into the restaurant...great job!!
The location is fantastic. But the dining room was crazy loud! And the menu was limited to the brunch menu at nearly 1pm. Choices were very limited. Ultimately expensive and a bit disappointing.
Kevin was awful and rude throughout.
Amazing view, incredibly tasty food, outstanding service‼️
Food, service, great. Sorry hostess missed our check in with open table which required me to respond I had honored my reservation.
The food was okay. View was gorgeous. Very slow service. For the cost, I would expect better quality food and service. We had guacamole that tasted like it was from a tin and not fresh. The salsa and chip were very good, but for 14 for guacamole, I do expect fresh and some flavor. Very bland, no lime or salt in it.
Great place to go and relax. View is spectacular and good food just makes it better.
I wish they would still have fish tacos on the main menu, as they were great and more reasonable than the rest of the fare. Also, felt we shouldn't have had to struggle when we put our drink order in at a few minutes to 6, to receive Happy Hour prices.
Menu was limited. Napkin was dirty. Water glass was dirty our entrees were served 5 minutes apart from each other. Had to ask waitress for check. Use of square to pay was too forward and demanding, like we were expected to walk without paying or something. The view from the patio was great and the valet gave us cookies and water upon picking up the car. Overall, not worth the value, standards were low and felt grimey
menu is not what it used to be, but you know that and obviously do not care
our waitress was ill-prepared to deal with seniors...a little training might help, but maybe not....you appear to be catering to a younger patron
Beautiful location and great
Patio seating. Drink service was prompt, but it took 26 minutes, and three requests to get chips and salsa. We also ordered guacamole at the same time, and it didn’t arrive until after our dinner entrees arrived. Waitress indicated that they were having trouble with the food runners bringing the food items. Too bad. It is such an iconic restaurant but clearly has lost focus on good service.
We come mostly for the location
The menu is very limited for a vegetarian. Yes, we were offered a veggie dish at the price of the expensive seafood/ meat dishes. Left a bad taste in my mouth.
This was a first time visit to Las Brisas for my two guests and they were very impressed with every aspect of their luncheon experience. I have moved away from the area, but always come back when I'm in town for the view at Las Brisas. I do feel the prices are a bit on the high side, but probably competitive with the area and when you take into consideration the ambience, it's worth it. Love the remodeling job!
We sat outside at the fire pit. Great service and food with a beautiful view. Great place to take visitors from out of town.
We had a great experience with our family of 6. First, valet parking service was very convenient and friendly. Next, we were 20 minutes early for our reservation but we’re seated immediately and given a great table with an ocean view. Service was exceptional and our waitress, Maria, was warm and witty. Food and drinks were very good. Overall the dining experience was excellent.
The service, chips, green salsa and margaritas were great! The view is a given and is so nice! You’re paying for the amazing view!! We ordered the whole fish entree to make tacos for two ($68) and the fish was so dry and not flavorful. They only give you 4 tortillas so we had to order more for an additional $7. I would definitely return but will never order the fish entree again. It was not good and very expensive for a tiny amount of beans and rice but tonssss of bland fish.
Had brunch past Sunday. The only thing we liked is the view . Food is average, not to say below average, service too, one of the servers don’t even know what is mimosa , he was just pouring champagne from time to time without orange juice , even we told that we wanted mimosa . So we had to make our own mimosas when he brought us juice . All other drinks were also average. Brunch costs $45, but with food selection definitely not worth it . Cesar salad was the worst, it was served on the wet plate, they didn’t even bother to wipe it after wash , this was the worst salad I ever had . Even flan from deserts - was like from grocery store:(( Wouldn’t come back ever again . Also this place needs some major improvement- carpets are dirty , paint on the walls too .
Great brunch for a special occasion. I was pleased to be seated promptly at our reservation time.
Server was late to work. Asked for coffee five times. Food terrible, especially for the price of brunch. I don't complain too much usually, but I will never go back. On the other hand, great view!
Las Brisas in Laguna Beach has a fantastic Sunday brunch. Wonderful menu. Friendly, efficient staff. Beautiful view of the beach and the Pacific Ocean. It is really an excellent experience. Pricey but good. Highly recommended.
My boyfriend and I decided to have dinner in Laguna for date night. Las Brisas was recommended to us. It was such a great recommendation! The food and drinks were delicious. The view was absolutely stunning. The number one thing that we were so impressed by was the service. We were treated so well and we will definitely be back!
When I am in south Orange County I like to go to Las Brisas. I have been doing so for 20 years. On Saturday we booked a reservation for 2 and upon arriving I was told that the restaurant was grossly overbooked - how can this happen? After waiting for 50 minutes we cancelled our reservations and sat at the bar. Getting the attention of a server/bartender was another 15 minutes. Others standing at the bar were frustrated and many people left.
With so many other fine places to dine in Laguna Beach, we won't be back.
Delicious food and great ambiance but restaurant was overbooked so they could offer us a table at the time of our reservation. We ended up eating out on the bar patio.
35 years anniversary
Our waitress was awesome def be coming back I requested ocean view and got close to what we wanted the food was amazing 👍
