Table ready on time. Food and service were the tops. Would recommend when in Laguna.
We were early than 5:30 pm...we were seated at 3:30 pm..food was excellent and our waiter Mathew was phenomenal!!!!
Very knowledgeable, pleasant and made our experience unforgettable....we would definitely go back for Mathew, food/ambiance...
I originally made a reservation due to thinking that it would be an extremely long wait for Sunday Brunch. We showed up at 11 for our meal and were immediately seated indoors. It was gorgeous inside, and much to our surprise Sunday Brunch was a 4 course pre-fix menu. This was not explained to me when I made the reservation, and it was out of our price range at $54 a person. There was also not an option to order anything a la carte, something that would have been easier for us and not so much food! After struggling to justify the price and the amount of food, we decided that maybe something more simple would be better for our meal. We then asked to move to the patio, where there was a regular lunch menu we could order off of, while still being able to order mimosas! We ordered the ceviche and mimosas and sat on the beautiful patio enjoying the ocean view. While we didn't get the brunch we had originally planned, we left feeling well taken care of by our waitress and happy with our time there. We definitely want to come back soon for the full brunch experience inside!
My husband and I went here for Sunday brunch. We will not be going back here for any reason. The food was terrible, cold and over priced. The service was alright, but nothing spectacular. I've had meals at Denny's that were better quality. Take your money to Raya at the Ritz Carlton. It's less expensive and the food is way better.
Love the food and service!
We haven't been there in years. We decided to go since we were in town. Food was delicious. Service was excellent & view beyond beautiful.
Menu(s) are not too our Liking. I would have preferred more of Mexican taste and sides choice.
The table that we were sat had an amazing view of Laguna beach . It was such a beautiful day so it made it that much more enjoyable. Our server was great and he explained the specials for the day . Margaritas was amazing
And so were the chips and guacamole. My ahi tacos though I’d prefer to have a regular corn tortilla rather than putting it in this fancy hard shell. Overall I enjoyed my meal and would come back here again.
Host were great, immediately seated us but forgot my request for high chair. Our waiter was decent but distracted took our food order but didn't ask if we wanted drinks. Seemed like the manager was keeping a close eye on the area we were seated at (not sure if it was due to the servers or our party). Finally received a high chair after my 3rd request. Food was delicious and our party enjoyed the overall experience and location.
Family of 8 celebrating a birthday. Great location within restaurant. Quiet with a view, great food, and pleasant service! Would do again!
We met a few friends out of town for breakfast at Las Brisas. It was the first time for all of us and we loved it! They sat us inside by a window with a beautiful view of the ocean! The breakfast bar had so many delicious options. The omelette was made fresh right in front of you by a chef. All you had to do was pick what you wanted. The waffles, the parfaits, the fruit, the French toast.... 😍 it was all so good! My husband and I will definitely be revisiting this place in the near future!
We have recommended Las Brises for years and I always ordered the Sole..Was I disappointed to learn that it was no longer offered. It was replaced with a $20 hamburger covered with basically raw egg. which was served with a few fried potatoes.
Service was great. Food was not exceptional. I expected exceptional for the price paid.
It has been a while since I dined here but I found the menu MUCH different and much smaller. I was frankly a little disappointed in the menu.
The location is fantastic. The view is fantastic. The service was very, very good. The menu was just average which doesn't match the rest of the location.
I suggest a broader menu with more options.
Regardless, I enjoyed what I did eat but at the moment, would not go back as the draw of the menu in the past is what brought me back.
Beautiful day, presentation of meals, and the staff adjusted our table for 5 on my mom’s 95th birthday for the view and put us in a room with only 2 occupied table. Brian our server was excellent.
Went on a Sunday. Reservations only inside. You had to order 4 course brunch menu. Found table outside and ordered a la carte. Much better with nice view and atmosphere.
It's been 10 years since I've been to Las Brisas for Sunday Brunch and I have to say I was not impressed. The service was mediocre, the fruit appetizer was to scarce to notice, the entree was just so-so and the dessert was tasteless. I was disappointed and won't be back soon.
Ceviche is good. Chips could have been fresher. Margaritas were good.
We stopped here twice once for evening cocktails and desert and once for sunday brunch. The service was outstanding and the food very good. Very scenic atmosphere and relaxing.
Good service, nice view and lively. The food was good too.
Excellent service from our server and the bus boys!!!!!
Always has good food--this time had the Tostada Grande salad to start, which was Fabulous! Very creative, and remarkably good. (Had the lobster carbonara, too, which is always delightful.)
Great ambiance. Romantic. Excellent view. Good food. Great service.
Great views, environment, food and prices were reasonable. Would go back in a heartbeat.
The view was spectacular as usual, with perfect service
Awesome view and menu...really enjoyed our dinner here! I would reccommend
We savor Las Brisas for those special occasions or get togethers that are fun, good food, scenic views and excellence all around. Great Job!!
We had Easter dinner for 10 and everyone ate every bit. The food was delicious and the view amazing. Can’t wait to go again.
We made reservations for Sunday “brunch”. It wasn’t a brunch, it was more of a pre-fix, four course meal, that was outrageously priced for what we were given. I chose the prime rib which included fruit, choice of salad or soup, entree, choice of carrot cake or Mexican chocolate layer cake for dessert. That was $72, that was for me only, without tax and tip.
The food wasn’t fresh. I ordered the prime rib (medium rare), mashed potatoes and asparagus. It came out Luke-warm and the prime rib was WELL DONE. it was 2:15pm in the afternoon, so I’m assuming that’s why. We started off with a “fresh fruit plate” and Mexican pastries. Well, it wasn’t fresh at all. The fruit had been cut and sitting out for a while. Then a choice of salad or pozole soup. I had the pozole. Good. But nothing special. It was in a plain bowl. No condiments, no presentation. Nothing. The main course I chose was the prime rib (see above). I didn’t even bother with the dessert offered and ordered from their dessert menu, the tostada berry bowl and paid an extra $10 for that. So my meal ended up being $82 plus tax and tip. Soooo NOT worth what I paid. I would have expected more from Las Brisas. Very disappointed. I was so excited to go there on Easter for brunch. Not again. I would have expected more for the $82 (plus tax and tip AND valet) that I paid. So annoyed that I paid so much money for something that was mediocre. The only reason Why I even gave it two stars was because the waitress was nice, the managers checked on us to see how we were and the view of the ocean was nice to see. Otherwise, I would have given it one star.
Seriously overpriced for the experience. Food OK, not great.
We are locals, and have been eating at Las Brisas for 30 years. This was not a value for the money meal. No one told us in advance about free parking with the meal- we paid for meters. What passed for champagne was not anything we would drink. View and service, as usual, were great. The food was not. We will pass next Easter.
It was perfect from the moment we arrived. Thank you for accommodating our requests.
I wasn't bothered by loud obnoxious music like I am in other restaurants. Now that I think about it, I can't remember hearing any. Which I love. Maybe there was a little that I didn't notice?
I was disappointed that the food from the buffet was cold. Miss the cheese blintzes. There didn't seem to be as many options as in the past.
Went to Las Brisas for a 50th birthday celebration. We got to the restaurant early & had mimosas at the bar while we waited for our table to be set up. We were given a wonderful window view table. We went on a Saturday & had the brunch buffet. They had oysters, shrimp, prime rib, made to order omelets, fresh fruit, omelets & much more. Everything was great. We will definitely go there again!
This used to be my favorite restaurant. I stopped there for brunch every time I was in the area. It still has a stellar location on the coast adjacent to Heisler Park. But the brunch that was $8.95 when I first started dining there, and was around $16.00 a couple years ago, is now $32.00. The result is that the dozens who used to line up every morning have found other places, and I saw no more than about half a dozen occupied tables. Yes, they now have fancier plates, with redecorated interior space, and the restrooms got long overdue face lifts, but the updated breakfast buffet is streamlined to offer fewer options - STILL no fresh strawberries - and we found that even hot herbal tea was unavailable. For the price we paid, that's inexcusable. Next time I'm in the area, I'll be dining elsewhere - perhaps with the scores of other people who used to dine at Las Brisas.
My favorite place and a special treat!
Overall amazing food, amazing view. Definitely going back.
Slow service, ovrecooked food, appetizers and drinks came out late, etc. Nice view, but I was embarrassed to bring international coworkers here.
Excellent food and experience. Highly recommended!
