Awesome food, drinks, service and view! Los Brisas never disappoints.
The food is delish, the view is breathtaking, the service..... felt rushed, for brunch I was so rushed that I was done in 35 min. 35 min for brunch for 7 people, $450? Thats $12.8 a minute. The servers were all over the place, they thought they were knowledgeable , however, they took the order twice, then came again to take the order since they lost their paper, then stood on top of me as I was paying asking for the tip. Not professional at all. Retrain, and I will reconsider to visit again.
Great service and ambiance. Food was excellent and chips and guacamole were almost worth the price. Cocktails were so-so. Overall, a very nice experience, although it feels a bit overpriced. Would definitely return though.
We sat on the patio enjoying perfect weather and a beautiful view. The Carne Asada Tacos were fantastic!
arrived and found that inside it is only brunch on weekends. they took care of us and we moved to the patio. great view, good food and great service
So excellent!! Fish tacos the best and presentation.
Food was VERY expensive and nothing special.
First time here. I'm a tourist. Food was good. One very frustrating thing . . . I made reservations on OpenTable after looking at the menu and restaurant online. It looked super. When I came to the hostess desk I told her I had a reservation. She asked if I wanted patio or inside. I was seated outside which was nice. The menu I was given by her seemed skimpy and not like what I remembered from the web but things were busy and I went ahead and ordered. Shortly after I hear a waitress for a table next to me ask if they want to see the other menu. I was never told of another menu or that it was an option. They said if I had been here before I would have known about it! (As a tourist coming to Laguna Beach for the first time I don't know how I'd know that)! I was then told "we are 2 different restaurants with 2 kitchens" even though they are both called Las Brisas (as far as I could tell). So, my experience was not like what I anticipated from the web. It was disappointing that they didn't understand why I was even concerned about this. The manager was not helpful. It sure seems that the hostess needs to inform people of this unusual way have having 2 restaurants by coming in the same door with two different things happening.
Always an enjoyable experience eating at Las Brisas. Great setting, predictably good food, attentive service. Overall, very good, though high-priced.
As feared, a tourist spot with a great view and below average food and service. Fish Tacos - like chewing sawdust (sent back); guacamole looked like it came out of a tub from a grocery store.
Unfortunately, this was a mixed bag of feelings for one of my favorite restaurants. Out of 7 guests I brought, several had the best meal, the others not so much. I will not go back for the brunch. It was my fault for not double checking the brunch menu, but there was not enough choice to satisfy all my guests. But the main issue was, two pesky flies , mimosas that did not taste good, menu offerings that did not lend well to the 4 course meal, I liked the waiter, but he was hit and miss on his serving timing. We will go back for the dinner menu. I love the restaurant ... but this time things fell flat overall.
My wife and I have eaten a Las Brisas many times over the years. Our last outing was with our Nephew and his wife who are from Seattle, this past Sunday. We like Las Brisas because of the view (of, course) and until this past Sunday, the food and the service. We appreciate the remodeling since we were last there (new bar chairs; bar lights and hand painted walls). We did not appreciate the up charges in the menu and the quality of the food. The upcharges for the Champaign and Bloodymary's are reasonable (as I'm sure many people abuse the free Champaign) but the quality of the Champain is subpar as are the bloodmary's. The complementary fruit for the table no longer had coconut .....and looks as if it came out of a can. My entree, the steak and eggs, had a $10 up charge. The steak was very well cooked but it was a very small portion. The scrambled eggs were dry (I had asked for loosely scrambled) and the portion again was very small. The sherbet desert was virtually inedible (too sweet; off flavors). My wife and I will probably never have Bruch at Las Brisas again...perhaps a drink or two with folks from out of town. We'll eat somewhere else with better food at reasonable prices.
. . . AMAZING view, clean restaurant, and GREAT service. The food was excellent, but definitely overpriced, for the quantity received, though.
Not that great. Seems like a restaurant that makes its money based on its location rather than great food. Food was underwhelming. Margarita was good though. Will not come back. Much better placed to go.
Beautiful restaurant. Atmosphere was very pleasant and our waiter was extremely personable!!
Delightful and delicious! Not cheap but wonderful! Fab view!
Great experience. The view, service, and food were all wonderful.
Excellent service on the patio by waitress Alex! She constantly checked in on us, suggested some items from the menu that were incredibly good and brought the food out promptly. Give her a raise!
Great restaurant with a great view of the ocean. Food was good, service was excellent.
Beautiful view, delicious food, attentive waiter. Who could a ask for more?
I was looking forward to seeing the remodeled Las Brisas and trying a new menu. The best part of the experience is the magnificent view of Heisler Park and the ocean. However the food was just OK and overpriced. Sorry to say I won’t be back.
the service and ambiance was wonderful. The Huevos Rancheros was very bland and disappointing - especially for the price!!
Nice place, service was great, their said Mexican food is way too “Americanized” and overpriced.
From the minute that I pulled in to valet until I left the service was impeccable. The food was good. Waiter was very attentive. It was a great experience.
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. It was a lovely dinner. The food was fantastic. The waiter was a little strange. He shared some personal stories and it was pretty awkward. Other than that, we had a great time!
It has been many years since we have been to Las Brisas. The ambiance is amazing, especially after their renovation. The food and service is as excellent as it always has been. We are definitely going back again very soon!
We had a lovely anniversary dinner. Our waiter Tyler was attentive and patient and our food was delicious.
We got there early so we could sit out side. We sat at community table surrounding the round fire pit. Service was very very slow and it was very busy. Considering the business was the reason it was so slow. Food was excellent, mixed drinks were very expensive! I don’t drink and saw my family be very overcharged for 3 drinks at happy hour, very reasonable and then 3 drinks at an overly priced tourist cost. Next time we go the drink cost will be asked , and when we get there for happy hour we will know what we are paying for!
Nice location, enjoyed BBQ spare ribs, beautiful view, More shade will bring comfort for sitting in patio .
We ate inside. The view was fabulous!! The White Shrimp and Crab Ceviche and the Lobster Tostadas were delicious. The Oysters on the Half Shell were tasty but very small.
We chose to dine on the patio because the weather was amazing. We were still able to select from the dining room menu for most of our selections but were also able to enjoy Happy Hour selections too. Our waiter was very accommodating and our group of four thoroughly enjoyed our selections. The civeche and guacamole & chips were outstanding. Our choices all had a Mexican flare, but they were not overly spicy.
What a view, food was amazing and a big Thank you, Bryan, our waiter! You are wonderful!
We had a window table and enjoyed a great view along with great food and service.
A tourist spot. Food is fine but too much for the money. You pay for the view. We gave it a new try after many years but won’t be returning. Service is great though.
Wayyyy overpriced for what you get. Food was just marginal at best. $68 bucks for a whole Red Snapper with four tortillas and a small bowl of beans and one of rice. They charged us $7.00 for four more tortillas! Salsa was awful and the server agreed. They just dumped a can of tomato sauce into a bowl and added some chili pepper. It was our first time there but I have to say we will not be going back.
Excellent location. Slow and very disappointing service. Limited menu. Food is OK. I noticed a lot of empty tables which is not surprising given the poor service.
Absolutely gorgeous views, accommodating and attentive staff and decadent brunch food and cocktails
I had a party of 4, we went for brunch. The service was terrible. We were there for two hours mainly waiting for our food. Luckily, the view was nice. I was surprised on just how terrible the service was.
