Delicious food and great service.
Out of a four-person sitting, only two liked their meals and that was because they ordered the same item, the fish tacos. I ordered the Acapulco Chicken, and the other person ordered the Red Fish. Both of our dishes obviously sat under heat lamps far too long, you could tell by the skin forming on the gravy, but even with that, the dishes were cold. The service was so poor that we decided to just eat a little and then leave rather than wait for new plates. This was our second time at Las Alamedas, both times were disappointing. Given the plethora of restaurants in Katy and Houston, there is no way poor experiences like this will allow this restaurant to stay open for much longer. Save your calories, time, and money and dine at another establishment.
Our waiter forgot one entre order. Then the staff brought the wrong entre. On the third try they got it right.
I had the chicken sarape. It was very dry. Ceviche was not as good as it has been in the past. Margaritas were good.
Ladies bathroom was a mess. No toilet paper in one stall and overflowing trash overall.
Saturday’s dining experience was a disappointment, especially considering what I know it to be from past visits.
Took my family for a late lunch on Christmas Eve. It was really bad and very unlike our past visits.
Wife and I had a need for a great margarita and stopped at Las Alamedas. The margaritas were great and so was the food. Our server Taylor was the best. Thanks for a nice evening on your patio looking out at the xmas lights.
I enjoyed Las Alamedas as usual, thank you!
The extra two place settings had not been picked up when we were seated nor at any time throughout the evening. I never got a definitive answer to whether the only sparkling wine available was dry or not. Whatever happened to wine card? Even if there are only a few items it would help to he able to see what they are.
The waiter's timing was horrible. Maybe because we sat on the patio and they don't like to open the door and go out there? I don't know, but really there is no excuse to be left for 30 to 45 minutes without checking on us. He also failed to see that it was a birthday celebration despite writing it in two places on the reservation. The food was good but didn't measure up to their prices considering all the competition.
ENJOYED OUR BUSINESS MEETING. WE WERE ABLE TO HAVE A DISCUSSION AND ALL PARTIES THERE REMARKED ON HOW GOOD THE FOOD WAS.
Everything great, but margaritas are not like they used to be, made from mix.
The tortilla that was ordered when food was ordered, arrived almost at the end of the meal. The flour tortilla were like a piece of cardboard. For fine Mexican Restuarant like this they can do better. I have been a customer from their opening night in 1980 in their old location.
The pork was good although the salsa for the chips was too runny (should be thicker/chunkier), the service was good, the restaurant was nice. It was an OK restaurant and we will go back again.
It was great our server was great and quick sitting
Hair in my food, salsa that tastes like tomato sauce and being charged for jalapeños in an attempt to actually have some spice in the salsa, enough said.
I went there on a date with my wife. The food was absolutely delicious as always. The drinks were good too, just the right amount of alcohol.
Food was ok but not excellent. Very poor wine list. There are many much better Mexican restaurants in the Houston area, and we won’t be going back to Las Alamedas.
This used to be an elegant upscale restaurant when it was on i10. Now it has the same atmosphere and food as other chain restaurants.
Made reservations for 7:45. Arrived 10min early and there was another family waiting also. No one was up front and it was not busy at all. Ten minutes later the hostess seats the other family. We check in and she acts annoyed that I asked for a booth. Again no one was sitting in the booths - two just needed to be cleaned.
We order and the food wasn’t great. The paella was decent and I have had it here before. For one adult and a child was $53 plus tip. Was not worth it for a mediocre meal. Very disappointed
The food was good,
The food is good, not excellent. The service was very poor.
We had a really great evening !!
Started off a little hot since we seated in the area where the AC wasn't working but got moved ..
Great food. Great drinks. Great evening!
And since I was the designated driver I received free dessert!!! All around great night
The red snapper ajio & the vegetables were delicious! I could have given them 5 stars but I substitute the mash potatoes for a salad. And to my disappointment it was iceberg lettuce they use.
For out of towners it was hard to find. Both Google and Apple did a very poor job.
Service on a great patio was poor. We gave out of drinks and water twice.
Mandatory Buffet till 4pm for $35+, unable to order from menu was not notified and would have liked more options or to have been notified. Was told open table should not have accepted reservations for this day, crazy right. Not everyone is party ate, some ate afterwards at another restaurant.
Love this place for special occasions like Mother’s Day and Easter. They treat you so well. Food is fresh and delish.
The food was prepared perfectly and the service was great.
They have some specialties that are real Mexican but also some more common text mex style food for those that prefer that style
Poor quality food & water down drinks.
Beef fajitas were way over cooked to the point of almost burned. Tacos al carbon were not tasty and very dry. Again beef was over cooked.
Our service was very good and met our needs.
I haven’t been here in a while and now I remember why. In my opinion lots of Mex/Tex-Méx restaurants around that are better.
Join their email club and get in on their specials! I went on fajita night and they're so good! Their salsa is just ah-mazing!
Went a second time. It was excellent! Julio and Gaston are superb waiters!! We will be back repetitively!!
The worst service. One hour waiting for a waiter to take our order, then the food was delayed and wrong and incomplete dishes arrived. Costly and very ugly food
We have been fans of Las Almedas since they were located off I10 in town and continued to bring our family and friends to the new location in La Centerra. But we were disappointed last week to find that it is no longer a lovely place for dinner, but just a Mexican restaurant. Gone are the carpet and table clothes which help dampen noise. Gone are the beautiful serving plates and roomy tables. There was a Quinciniera party in the other half of the restaurant and their music was so loud we were almost yelling at each other across our table (we were not told that there would be loud music when we arrived). Overall we were all just very dismayed and won't be returning to or recommending this restaurant any longer.
As a place for a drink and lite bite. Nice to sit outside. Service was poor.
great food in a great outdoor setting. Best Mexican restaurant in Katy tx.
I had such a greag time!!!! The band was excellent. I will definitely will recommend to my friend and for sure I will be back!!!
Great food, drinks, and service. Definitely coming back.
Alfredo is an outstanding server. Ask for him if service is important to you.
Jose was amazing
Great food & wonderful staff. Spinach enchiladas were excellent! Looking forward to heading back soon!
We thought there would be an offer of a dessert for my wife's 76th birthday but, other than the hostess who wished her a Happy Birthday, it was not mentioned. Everything else was good.
