I'm giving Larsen's the benefit of the doubt here that our experience is not the norm.

The oysters I ordered were of decent quality but whoever is shucking them left lots of shell pieces inside and it really ruined the enjoyment of eating them, 5 of the 6 oysters I had to remove large pieces of shell before swallowing... oysters should be clean, fresh and slide very easily... or else why eat them raw, right? We let the waiter and the manager know and they were sincerely concerned about it.

Our cocktails were a mess, we ordered a Tequila Sunrise and Gin/Tonic they were both so strong you couldn't even taste the mixers. Sent my T&T back because the tonic was completely flat. The mgr was quick to replace it but even the next was so strong I couldn't finish it and I can drink 3 T&T's with dinner easily. The 2nd Tequila Sunrise was made with Grapefruit juice instead of OJ and I don't think it even had the signature grenadine float that makes the darn drink(!) so that was removed from our bill --without question.

The steaks (14oz bone-in Fillet & 8oz Fillet were both quite good but jeez chef, learn how to watch your meat temps... I know steaks and the 14oz I ordered 'medium' but came Medium rare to rare -- I was hungry so I ate it. The 8oz was ordered Medium was nicely done.

The big surprise entree ordered was for my wife -- Purple Cauliflower Steak... delicious! Brussel Sprouts were very good.

Ambiance is very nice with the piano bar but it competes with the bar noise so I wouldn't consider this the place for a romantic dinner

The service was very good and both our waiter (Joe- very professional, he even pulled out a table crumber to clean our tablecloth ... that was a nice old-school surprise and the GM (also Joe I believe) were sincerely concerned that we should come back but his reply about the heavy-handed drinks was surprising to me, he

I might return, but if I do I just might try their Woodland Hills location before going back to Encino.

Just a nice dinner out with my best lady. Mikki the waitress was perfect. Never intruding but there when you needed something. Great ambiance and flavors were good. We will come again.

I booked this place on accident and I got burned bad for it. I had meant to book it for the Topanga location which I have been to and have had a great experience-Encino, not so much.

For Valentine's some genius decided to layout some tea tables . I'm guessing this was done for purposes of revenue .

My waiter seemed like he would have been great at serving us but I told him, I couldn't sit at That table. Think about it. Yoiur steaks wouldn't fit on it with drinks , appetizers etc. So we asked if we could sit at the bar. This wasn't an issue so much but the bar tender is busy and this place had 3 hosts and a silvertop supervising them for absolutely no reason. This guy walks around doing absolutely nothing but crossing his arms and pretending to look concerned or upset. Meanwhile, I later find out the GM is running food which i guess is cool but don't you think with 3 people hosting not sitting anyone plus one geriatric supervising them you'd need a reorganization of the staff. In addition they missed parts of the order. Those "parts" were comped since they forgot but I assumed it would have been comped anyway because the kitchen rushed the order and forgot to add seasoning to it.

The only great thing here which is what I thought was great at the Topanga location was the steak and the lobster mash which was perfect. The piano player was also excellent but the service and the staff have left much to be desired.

I probably won't make the same mistake going to this location do my because of my experience here

Love the romantic ambiance! Some of the tables the seat 2 are a bit small, but if you dont mind being that intimate then it works!

We came in for lunch to celebrate Valentine's Day. Service was great and food was served quickly after we placed our food selection.

Overall great experience. My wife's filet was undercooked and we had to send it back to get cooked more. We also found ourselves looking for our waiter more often than we like too.
Overall good but could have been better.

Stacy our server was epic. The steaks were great, although if you ask for medium rare, I would say it’s closer to rare, but still very tasty!

Our meal was delicious and the service by Kent was exceptional. The Manager, Harry was wonderful as well. 2 steaks were not cooked to our liking - Harry immediately took them to the kitchen (excellent customer service) and when they came back to us they were PERFECT!!! The prices prohibit us from dining there regularly; however it was definitely worth it for a special occasion.
