Larsen's Steakhouse - Valencia
Brandy base, butter poached lobster claw
8oz Filet Mignon
An outstanding experience at Larsens for this repeat visit.
Our server was excellent, the food was fantastic.
Not surprisingly we had a wonderful night out at Larsen's. From the moment we were seated and Peyton handed us our menus to the moment Shane came by with some comedy and helped with the to go container, it was a great night. Our waitress Phillipa was fantastic and so knowledgeable when it came to the menu, explaining the specifics about each of the different steak cuts and the way they were aged. We had assumed she was a Larsen's veteran and were surprised when she told us that she had only worked there for about a year. We shared the Porterhouse that is intended for 2 to share. Truly it would have been good for the 3. The garlic mashed potatoes and the sauteed mushrooms as usual were great. And since Onion Rings were a special that night we had to indulge and sooooo worth it. The butter cake that Phillipa recommended for dessert was off the charts. We hadn't ordered it in the past because our standard go to desserts at any restaurant are the Creme Brulle or the cheesecake. She steered us right there too. Delicious!
Going to Larsen's is a treat we allow ourselves only a couple of times a year, but when we do we know that we won't be disappointed.
This was by far our best experience at Larsen's. The service was excellent. We sat at the bar first - excellent martinis. They now have larger shaker martinis (which we did not order), but excited that it is an option. Once seated, we really appreciated that our server told us up front that the wait would be longer than usual, and that was OK with us. From the generous portion of wedge salad, to the lobster thermidor (by far the highlight), to the filet mignon, and then there is the jalapeno mac and it goes on. It was my wife's birthday and we were presented with delicious butter cake with vanilla ice cream and then port wine for dessert. AMAZING!
If I have one criticism - sad to see the prices increase so much. We went for a special occasion and would visit much more frequently if it wasn't so expensive. Prices have increased on literally every entree making it prohibitive unless you save up.
Thank you for a wonderful experience. You have upped your game on the food and drinks! If the prices could be a bit more reasonable, we'd be visiting very frequently!
Food was great as usual. French fries could have been hotter. Our waiter was very nice but didn't see him as much as we wanted. Will definitly come back but the service was better the last two times.
We brought some first timers and they are hooked. Always a great meal and a great time. One of the best parts is you never have to wait for a table and they never rush you out of there.
This was our first time, food was delicious and service was excellent.
I am not a meat eater but my husband is. I had looked ahead on their menu and had my heart set on a lobster crunch roll appetizer, which would have been enough for me. Its described as "tempura lobster, king crab, cucumber, dynamite sauce, and eel sauce". The picture showed the lobster on the outside over a bit of rice, and rolled with the other ingredients. My husband ordered filet mignon, med rare. When our food arrived, his filet was cooked to perfection and he was very happy. Mine, on the other hand was a huge amount of sticky rice, rolled with a small piece of crab and cucumber. That was it for $35!! I told the waiter that this was not acceptable and did not fit the description at all. He agreed it was sub par. He asked if I wanted something else but I said by the time I got it, my husband would be done with his meal. the waiter suggested the short ribs - MEAT because its quick, so I settled for that. But I was not happy but ok, I figured he'd make it right and certainly not charge me for the short ribs. NOPE. He charged us for everything except the lobster dish. They should have at least comped me the glass on wine I had, and NOT charged me for the dish I didn't want in the first place. I was not happy and will never come here again.
This is a special occasion restaurant for us, as it it pricey. Everything was perfect: ambiance, food and service.
Went to Larsen‘s for our 47th anniversary, our server Jonathon was excellent the food was good. We may return.
Fabulous food and always consistently good. Service was impeccable. Not just dinner but an evening out.
Great service as always. Food was delicious. Cooked to perfection!!!
Been going to Larsen’s since it opened. The food has always been outstanding! The service has been good to outstanding. The bar / drink service has always been poor. This last visit to Larsen’s was the worst! Ordered drinks as soon as we sat down. Drinks arrived after appetizers! I watched the bartender’s mix drinks from our table and it looked like most of the drinks being made stayed in the bar area. We have learned through the years to order drinks as soon as you are seated. It just seems like the bartenders want to take care of the bar and when they have time mix drinks for the dining area. I know the bar is high profit, but this restaurant is suppose to be a high end steak house with a bar. I’m sure I’m not the only one that has had this experience. I guess it could become Larsen’s Bar and serve high end burgers!
Took my beautiful girlfriend for her birthday dinner. The place inside is gorgeous, the setting and music set a really romantic ambiance.
Our server Brian was amazing and really took care of us. We ordered drinks, she had a glass of muscato and I had a hoodie old fashioned. The drinks were great, we really recommend the muscato.
We ordered our food, the dry aged steaks are a bit pricey but are worth every penny. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the side went great with the proteins. Since it was her birthday they brought out a complementary bananas foster and I ordered the creme brûlée.
Over all the food and experience was amazing, we are already planning our next visit.
Everything went well, server was awesome but service was a bit slow if that makes sense. A bit pricey but food was delicious!
Out first time here. 5 star dining experience all the way! We moved from West Los Angeles and have had the best of the best restaurants. Larson’s can be now be added to the category.
Wonderful evening with fabulous service, ambiance, and food.
Birthday dinner for a friend - great meal and great service!
The food was so good and the service was excellent as well. We cannot wait to go back.
We had the Wagyu A5 New York and Crab Legs both of which were outstanding. Hash browns as a side dish. I'm always skeptical about ordering Wagyu steaks as I've had some horrible ones at other fine steak houses. But this one was one of the best I've ever had. Michelle, our server, was awesome.
Great food, awesome service and a nice ambiance! We cant wait to go back!
Food and service were excellent. Our server, Christian, was knowledgeable about the menu and history of the restaurant. He was very attentive without being overbearing. The food was impeccable. The only complaint is the price. It was more expensive than most comparable steakhouses, e.g., Ruth's Chris, Morton's, Fleming's, Del Frisco. But we will definitely be returning.
Should have went with a larger filet with our surf and turf, if it was offered.
The last time we had been to Larsen's was for Happy Hour the Friday night before LA County was put on COVID-19 lockdown last March. In the 18 months since then they have redone the bar and entry way and it looks great. As usual, everything was excellent, generous Martinis, oysters on the half shell, arugula salad, dry aged New York steak cooked perfectly, creamed spinach, and cheese cake for dessert. We had a great bottle of Round Pond Cabernet Sauvignon and the sommelier gave us some complimentary after dinner drinks. It's not a cheap night out by any means, but Larsen's is arguably the nicest and most consistent restaurant in Santa Clarita. We will be back again soon.
I know it's a steak house and they're expensive but this was a new level expensive, particularly for the location (not NY, Paris, London, SF or actually in LA). While the food and service was very good, this is Valencia for gods sake...this is NOT like going to Nobu when it first opened in NY.
However, really enjoyed the meal (and the Company) as it was our last dinner with our son who is going to school in CA.
Our server, Christian was wonderful! Exceptional service
Waiter worked really hard and got everything right. Really appreciate his efforts and attention ,with a good size set of folks.
Celebrated a birthday. Food, wine, and service were exceptional! Not kid friendly. By that I mean - please don’t bring your toddler and sit next to us while we’re enjoying our $100 steak ….
Food was incredible. The ambience wasn’t great with the loud piano mixing up with the soft overhead music. Clashing sounds. Waiter leaned over to talk specials and pulled his mask down. We had to ask him to pull it up. Would have been better if he started up and asked if we minded if he pulled it down. Otherwise attentive service and great food.
Great service and recommendations for really good sides- Mac and cheese with roasted red peppers and bacon is awesome!
This was my first unpleasant experience at this restaurant. My server wreaked of an awful cigarette smoke smell and because the restaurant was very full and loud, he would lean in close to talk and be able to hear. Although my server was was so helpful and accommodating, the cigarette stench was so bad, I almost asked for another server. My food was served lukewarm at best, and I’m used to it being piping hot upon arrival to the table. Lastly I waited 35 minutes for my check and an additional 22 minutes for the return of my credit card after paying.
Extremely expensive for the location.
We regularly dine here because the food it so good every time. If ever there are any issues they happily resolve it right away. They are consistent.
Entire experience was fantastic. Service was impeccable and food is always great.
Great food and excellent service.
Fantastic service, fantastic people. They tried their best to make us happy. We had a great time
The place was way Dark, Piano at the entrance was way too loud. Completely overpriced and couldn't locate the waiter.
Waiter kept bringing other people's orders to our table. Was told that they added the table so the staff was confused on which table was which.
I ordered my steak medium, and it was cold and rare. They gave us a free desert. Big deal. $250 tab, without alcohol.
