When we want a nice steak dinner and don’t want to drive out of the area, Larsen’s is our go to steakhouse. They have awesome chicken, fish and pork entrees too! Drinks and wine are good and nice variety.
I have always had poor service over the years a this restaurant. This visit was the worst. On top of that I checked that we were celebrating our anniversary on open table and mentioned but got no offer of even a cupcake gratis as most restaurants do. Had to buy own desert. Waitress seemed to be very aloof and upset we did not order very expensive food and wine. I left a very small 5% tip in hopes she would get the message but I doubt it. No manager in sight nor did anyone ask how we enjoyed dinner, Very, very noisy.
Graduation celebration and Shannon took great care of us!
We had a late appointment (8:45PM) and there was only a few tables left. The service was great and the food was also very well prepared. The server new the menu well.
Even though we were the last to leave, there was no rush and the staff accomodated us without any rush.
Great place to be and sadly the only steak house in Simi Valley.
The special macadamia crusted sea bass was a little pricey but worth every bit. The filet was also pricey but very small. Service was good.
Wonderful mother day dinner. Our server was great. Food was awesome. Very pleased.
I loved the food formthe Mother’s Day brunch. The atmosphere was kind of dark but peasant.
I was unable to find the price of the brunch on the website. Since ordering off the menu was not an option, it would have been helpful to know the price ahead of time.
I’ve been here before and would definitely go again.
Had a group of 9 including 3 moms.....
The restaurant was decorated beautifully for Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet.....food selection was great, Prime Rib was DELICIOUS. Staff members all had smiles on their faces and genuinely cared. Mother’s Day is always tough to feel successful picking a brunch venue that everyone enjoys, and Larsens came through!
An overpriced brunch with poor service and the food was nothing special. Total disappointment.
Great brunch for Mother's Day... Also, great for nice dinner!
Unfortunately, the food was horrible. Everything was tasteless or over-cooked. We've gone there for the last couple of Mother's Day's and last year wasn't that great, but we thought we'd try again (not a lot of choices in Simi). It was our last time.
We enjoyed the food and the service, but the dining room felt very noisy.
LARSEN’s grill has the best steak I’ve ever tasted in my life and the whole atmosphere is amazing!
Our server was excellent. As always, the food was very good. The high ceilings create a bit of a noisy atmosphere.
The Service was Awesome and so was the food. when we 1st sat down the waiter (Mike) asked me if we were here for a special occasion. I said it was our 5 year Anniversary. He said Happy Anniversary. We had Wine and Appetizers Then our Entrees. He suprised us with a delicious dessert for our Anniversary That said Happy Anniversary in chocolate sauce. Everything that night went so perfect.
So nice for a special occasions or just a good dinner. And thrilled it’s still in Simi Valley!
We dine here all the time.
The food and service is worth every penny.
Great service and the food was excelent
Cate our server was great. The lobster tail and the grilled artichoke was the best!
This was our second visit in a week. We were a party of 8 and were seated in the “private” dining area. This usually means slower service but not this night. The food was excellent, and service was efficient and friendly. Delicious butter cakes were served to the birthday boys. A very nice evening was had by all. We’ll definitely return.
I was disappointed in the whole evening. it was to loud, my server had a lot of tables to wait or for other reasons wasn’t attentive enough . Food was cold , was sent back , didn’t want to sender my steak I didn’t want it over done. The place wasn’t full we ended up sending 2 1/2 hours there. There was more . It will be a long time before I go back.
Enjoyed our first time at Larsen's. Went for a date night away from the kids and found it to be pleasant. The drinks were good. The food was beyond expectations. Really enjoyed the dry aged filet. The staff was very pleasant and professional.
The pork chop was delicious and the New York was cooked to perfection. The blackened chicken pasta was a bit salty. Otherwise, a nice experience. Waitress and staff were on it too. Great service.
My chicken was not fully cooked by the bone on both pieces. The server knew I wasn’t eating the rice and I was giving it to me husband but didn’t let the cook know so he could plate it differently. It was difficult to get her attention to get additional items.
The food and service was great but the noise level was too high. Couldn’t even have a conversation !
Food is good but overpriced. The service was great.
Very Over priced . Food had no flavor. Wine requested is not available.
All in all the service was excellent. The soup came out lukewarm, they corrected that issue and we had a nice dinner.
We had a nice birthday celebration. The food and service were excellent.
We used to dine here often but life got in the way... We decided to return and were very happy with the ambience, service, and quality of the food.
I was disappointed that after ordering drinks with specific instructions, they came back exactly as I told the server NOT to make them.
It was also extremely noisy. You really need some sound baffling. It ruined the ambiance.
I ordered a medium rare steak and it was more like well done.
Great good! Servers are wonderful! When you ask for something they get it right away!
I booked this restaurant for a family member's birthday. So terrible. The hostess was gruff and did not smile or say welcome. The waitress was terrible and mean. Did not smile, did not explain menu,we had to ask for everything - even the bread, to have our waters refilled, etc. When we ordered they did not have 2 of the 4 entrees we wanted to order - no sea bass left or the beef fillet. Then she rattled off about 4 other things they were out of. How about announcing everything they are out of before letting the party sit for 20 minutes reading the menu and making selections. The only food that was good was the french dip. For the high prices we were shocked. Even the side dish of green beans was sitting in 2 inches of oil. There was loud music playing. If you go here just realize it is not a pleasant, up scale restaurant, despite the high prices. We will never go back.
The service was horribly, horrible slow. After we finished our meal we waited 25 minutes for the check. After receiving we waited another 10 min before finally asking another server to please run our credit cards. This was my second experience in as many months at Larsen's, both times the service was lacking. Will not be back again.
We were seated in a spacious booth where we could people watch and observe meals wafting past. Excellent service while plenty of warm bread and water was refilled. Beverages ordered and served promptly with a respectable pour. Steak was done to perfection as per my request medium-well butterflied filet with fabulous baked potato and wife loved her roasted chicken.
It was too loud for conversation. The table was so large for a party of 7 you could only talk to the person on either side of you.
Used to love the place, last 4 times there it was loud, non chalant service, meat over cooked and poor quality vegetables. Close to home but now we'll travel for a steak.
Service was a little slow but that’s typical everywhere on Valentines Day- the managers never seem to increase the staff like they increase the number of tables. Server was very pleasant though and the pork chop was the absolute best I have EVER had anywhere. Overall, one of my better Valentines Day dinners.
Our reservation was for Valentine's Day and while they were quite booked up, we got seated very quickly and the service was fantastic! The only downside was that the whole place was very loud, but that's to be expected on such a night!
