Had a group of 10 and we were well taken care of. Not inexpensive but nothing is cheap in Vail!
Consistently great. always look forward to returning for another meal!
Very slow. Waiter forgot my appetizer and also one of the main courses.
Very good restaurant near Vail Village. Excellent wine list and interesting choices. Slightly expensive but worth it.
Very surprised the food was not hot. The potatoes on the veal dish were cold. The restaurant was not very crowded so we are confused as to how the meal came out very quickly and was room temperature. The veal was very bland hardly any flavor and the spinach was salty. A disappointment.
We had fabulous time at Larkspur, the service was amazing, very attentive and professional, managers visited the table a few times during our meal. We really felt like royalty. The atmosphere was perfect. Highly recommended.
Larkspur did not disappoint, food was great and delicious and the service, well outstanding and it gave it a real family feel.
Best. Tomato soup. Ever. I do wish they'd bring back the mini grilled cheese variety sampler they used to serve the soup with, but it's still fabulous. Burger's very thick, served on a wonderfully light brioche bun; skinny fries get cold too soon but have good flavor. Doughnut balls w/ dipping sauce very tasty. Good espresso drinks and Champagne by the glass, Excellent, hospitable staff. Lovely dining room with comfortable booths, perfect lighting, beautiful glassed-in wine room. Really need at least a onesie within the restaurant/bar as opposed to having to trek all the way through the loud, crowded foyer to the bathrooms on the other side of the building. Ski-in @ Golden Peak.
I decided to visit Larkspur for dinner with my girlfriend, based on the positive first experience last year, We were treated so spectacularly from beginning to end, the restaurant is ran extremely professionally. The staff are very welcoming (hostess greeting us with smile) and friendly, amazing service by the staff, with having very knowledgeable not only servers that can help you out with the menu selection, but also having Managers who stop by at your table throughout your dinner offering so much hospitality. It was so romantic with a great atmosphere and lovely music in the background. This restaurant is definitely a place to go for lunch, brunch or dinner, regardless if its for business dinner or just family or friends.
The food was excellent. A true example of fine dining
Larkspur is always our favorite in Vail. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the food was to die for and the staff were amazing. The staff were so friendly, happy to chat and explain each course as well as cater for me with significant allergies. A lot of restaurants make a big deal of it, almost embarrassing me in the process. At Larkspur, they said they were aware of my allergies and would tweak the meal to fit my needs and that I wouldn't need to eat something different from regular menu.
what an amazing time, the food was to die for, our sever ryan was excellent and very attentive. the place is beautiful. i can't wait to return! the best veal i've ever had !!! ❤️
Wonderful dinner at the bar. Loved the ambience and cocktails. Wine list is great and the veal scalopini is the best!!!! Service was attentive without being overbearing. A true delight.
Service was very slow. Food was over priced. This is the last time I will go there.
The menu was very limited and no specials featured, expensive for what was being offered. Ambiance nice and service good but have been there in the pass and unfortunately this is the first time I’ve been disappointed
Service was good. Ambiance is nice, but the food doesn’t deliver. Five entree choices, with one that is a $16 burger-just a regular burger. We’ve been here many times in the past, but the kitchen has changed and the flavors aren’t very exciting. Salmon was not very good and uninspiring flavors. Seafood bisque was tasty, but overpowered by saltiness.
The butter lettuce salad was appealing and delicious. The veal scaloppine was one of the best preparations I’ve ever had. The server was attentive and earnestly trying to do a good job, but a few things got muddled—such as presenting the wrong dish to several diners in our party. What struck me as most odd about the restaurant is it’s location, outside the village, in a mid-range ski lodge, attached to a ski in-ski out bar/restaurant. The restaurant’s lavatories were the lodge’s heavy duty, rather worn ski lodge facilities. ..odd when one is dressed for dinner to be surrounded by dirty slush. Still, that veal!!!
Took over an hour to get food. They lost our ticket and didn’t tell us until 45 minutes in. Gave us all chili (which we didn’t want) to try and make up for it. Been going there for years and the management seemed to be out of the loop this year. Seemed short staffed and place was not even close to full... they should have been better prepared based on the time of year and the money you pay for the food
We've been to Larkspur for many years around the holidays and the service/menu/presentation is always excellent. This year was a little less impressive due to our server and sommerlier, who seemed irritated and/or distracted throughout the night. The menu was also very small compared to years past. I ordered the vegetarian quiona/polenta dish which was amazing, but my husband/friends were not in love with the other fish dishes they ordered. Hoping it was just an off night. The restaurant was beautifully decorated as always.
Several people at our table had cold food which had to be sent back. Otherwise, it was a terrific experience.
we ate lunch after skiing. food is outstanding and the service excellent. I've eaten dinner here as well and they excel. going back.
Great food and cocktails. Small wine list. Excellent service in the bar and restaurant. Pity it is only open at night on Friday and Saturday.
We were greeted when we arrived and taken straight to our table. No wait. The service was quick. Our orders were taken. The bread was amazing. They have a great wine list too. The food arrived all at the same time and was wonderful. The presentation of each entree was so beautiful we had to stop and take photos. The wait staff was perfect. We will be back.
Great location, good food. Very busy active and loud during the Burton US Open.
Love the food and atmosphere for lunch as an excellent mid-day break from ski'ing. Nice to have the reservation so you are not waiting during your ski time.
This is a great lunch and apres ski place at the Golden Peak Lodge in Vail. The gluten free pizza was AMAZING. The atmosphere is really pleasant and the tables for large groups are very comfortable.
One of the best experiences we ever had. From the atmosphere of the restaurant, friendly staff, amazing food, and the choice of wine, the whole experience has been unique. I was impressed by the willingness of our server to help with our decision and accommodate every need. The service was incomparable. At the place like this you expect and receive truly outstanding food, and extraordinary attention. Larkspur however take this to the next level. If you are not happy about anything let them know and they will move heaven and earth to put it right. Thank you for a great meal. Definitely will be back
We had a great lunch as always, service is top notch. They always accommodate your needs, to receive this level of service it is great accomplishment especially in the ski town.
My husband and I have not visited Larkspur twice, and both times were amazing. The food is great as is the service. The menu has a variety of options to choose from and the wine list is vast. I personally love the ambiance and decor, it's modern and perfectly lit. Larkspur accommodates large groups which is hard to find in Vail. Highly recommend!!
Very good food service and preparation. Gorgeous room. Prices appropriate for this level.
