Lark consistently serves outstanding dishes, sourced locally and presented beautifully. I typically order their seafood dishes, and am always impressed. Save room for dessert!
Lark never fails to please. Great owners/chef; great, creative food paired with comfort staples. Consistent quality and service. One of my favorites.
Overall a very positive dining experience. Attentive and timely service and absolutely delicious food and drinks. Pleasant, quiet setting. The only complaint I can make is that our side dish was forgotten so then delayed, but it certainly won't put me off going back!
It’s a very small and cozy environment with a romantic setting. The food is delicious and the portions are not too big. A perfect place for a date :-)
Server was great. Food was good but not exceptional. Might have been an off night.
Although we are longtime area residents, this was our first meal at Lark. We brought a “foodie” who was visiting from New Orleans (works in the industry there). We were all delighted with our meals, shared plates, etc. The menu offered more choices than we expected; drinks, wine options all good. It was altogether a very nice evening at Lark.
Had another perfect meal. Lettuce salad had wonderful house pickled chioggia beets ( big enough for 2.) Followed by the half serving of perfectly executed meat pasta. Had room for apple tartin and decaf. Nice wines too: a Gruner and Nebbiolo .
Pedestrian. Hard to enjoy what can be done better in my own kitchen.
There is a reason Lark has been around as long as it has. Lovely atmosphere. Great service. Delicious food. All the ingredients for a wonderful evening.
Amazing experience with amazing food. Not one thing I would change
My only request would be for more veggies on the menu, and at least 2-3 with simpler low-fat preparation.
Amazing experience! From the server who was so knowledgeable and friendly to the incredible wild boar trotolle - this restaurant went FAR above expectations. Oh and the blue velvet fabric on the benches and chairs is photo ready! I cannot recommend this place enough!
Very overrated. Unimaginative food that anyone could prepare at home. Not a chef restaurant, more like a bistro.
We loved our server -- polite and effective and personable -- just the right amount of personal attention and professional deference.
We dined at the Lark for the first time. Three of us, sharing starters, pasta, and mains.
We each enjoyed each bite, which is as high as our reactions can go. The starters (crudo, fried oysters) were fresh, well-prepared and properly seasoned. The pastas (cannelloni and veg carbonara) were excellent, particularly the tenderness and texture of the cannelloni. We shared two mains (roasted salmon and pork belly) which were also really well prepared. We skipped dessert given the depth of our food orders.
As for libations, we enjoyed a rosé Laurent Perrier bubbles and a great 2004 Mersault, which was off-list and offered after a couple other Chablis and Mersault choices were OOS.
Overall, an excellent experience. Enough fun mixed with professional service and great cooking. Highly recommend.
We had a great meal and the staff was wonderful.
Willard and Kathy
Unfortunately both the bar and the kitchen were extremely slow and we spent the long evening waiting for each thing we ordered. It was literally a 3 hour dinner due to delays at every step, from cocktails to dessert.
Consistently great food, easy to have a coversation
Nearly all of the dishes we ordered were delicious. Highlights were seared tuna and a salmon special appetizer, cannelloni (fabulous!), and lemon cheesecake (to die for). The dishes that were somewhat disappointing were the green beans in an overpoweringly acidic tomato sauce, the braised octopus, and the almond cake (really dry). We would definitely go back to Lark. Service was great/lovely.
Overall over priced. Service was a plus. The reception and greeting at the front desk was pretty awful. With few words and without a smile we were showed our table and the menu was put on the table. Before we were able to take a seat, the person from the front desk was gone back and starring on his tablet for the rest of the evening. The food was just okay, but for sure not worth the price asked.
Lark is a superb restaurant. The best on Capitol Hill Seattle by far. Great food, cordial respectful service and not too loud!!!
Mediocre experience at highest cost with bad service.
A really nice evening. Great wine list. I had the duck leg, my spouse had the salmon. Excellent. Nice atmosphere. Service by M'Lissa was attentive and friendly. High recommendation.
Lark was solid but didn't impress me as much as I thought it would. Perhaps a victim of high expectations. The food was good to very good, but not stellar. Pasta dishes were standouts, both the wild boar ragu and the smoked mushroom carbonara were outstanding. Appetizers were fine - a unique take on gazpacho but flavorless octopus. A shared main course of pork belly was well prepared but nothing special. Dessert too was only mediocre. So overall, the food was average. Service was also quite slow, pleasant, but just too slow. I'm glad to have tried Lark, but with so many other great restaurants in Seattle, I doubt I'll be back.
A gastronomic adventure, with most attentive service and exquisite provenance.
Celebrate Seattle visit.
Food took forever to come out. Maybe 45 min. Got a free desert out of it, but still was beyond reasonable for their prices
We only thought a third of the dishes we ordered were at the standard they should be for the price and type of restaurant. Service was good but we still wouldn’t go again.
Love Lark! Always look forward to dining here. We ate in the restaurant (as opposed to the mezzanine) and had a delightful dinner. Service, food and atmosphere were great as usual!
Had an excellent meal. The food was exceptional, as was the service. Highly recommended.
Elegant restaurant. Eclectic menu but not everything works. Chicken pate was a disappointment as buckwheat pancake. Duck was ok but no ! mark. Deserts were the best but probably not enough to make up for expensive but not that great other dishes.
Superb service at every step. Really pleased with the food and recommendations. Nice spot for a night out.
Lovely special occasion dinner. The noise level was louder than I like, but not as bad as some others (Ethan Stowell restaurants!).
Wonderful restaurant! Very classic, excellent service, delicious food!!!! We absolutely loved it!!!!
Our dinner at Lark was memorable: excellent food, very welcoming and attentive service, lovely dining room. We had two specials that evening, a delicious tomato salad and perfectly cooked albacore. We certainly will go back.
The hanger steak was AMAZING! Great atmosphere ❤️
Dining was an excellent experience. One if the best dinners I’ve ever had. Worth coming to Seattle !!!
We eat here at least once a year when in Seattle, over many years, always a favorite, we even have our favorite table
