one of our favorite places near the park
Food is always consistent and well presented.
Brunch on Saturday. My friend got the Lark Benedict and said it was delicious ... I got the Pachi Pachi scrambled eggs... they were barely warm , food was served so quickly, it was as though pre-prepared. There was only salt on the table and both of us enjoy pepper on our eggs... we finally retrieved the pepper mill on our own as no one followed up to ask if we were ok.... I have had much better experiences here and must say this was a disappointment!
The food and service was wonderful! Scott, the manager, even took time to talk to us about their impressive art exhibition programs. We will absolutely be back!
Like the restaurant and come almost exclusively for the passion fruit sorbet, but last time and this time they are out. Disappointing! The lunch menu and portions are perfect for a nice lunch not too heavy.
I was excited for my first visit to Lark on the Park, and I really wanted to love it. The amuse bouche was a fritter, as were our appetizers. Though all of them were decent, none were particularly yummy. The mango sauce o. The side was the best part. Our entree was the pappadelle with pork jowls in ragu. The pappadelle was a little underdone and quite tough. The pork jowl was extremely fatty and frankly, the mouthfeel was difficult to deal with. The waiter was lovely and the gin drink was good. Not sure I will make another attempt, considering the cost.
We enjoyed our food, service, and the evening at the Lark. We will come back. Way too expensive for us to make it an often attended restaurant . Don't care for octopus and other unusual meats.
Food was ok. But nice date place or a place for drinks.
The food options and menu have evolved and it’s just not very good at all.
Hot & Cold
My mother said the scallops were the best she’d ever had in her 97 years on earth! I, unfortunately had the $30 steak. It was incorrectly cut on the bias, way too rare when I asked for medium rare, and served with cold french fries and dry arugula with no dressing. The side order of asparagus was not trimmed and half cooked. My wife’s flounder was too oily and wet and just not tasty. Disappointing.
Food was really good. Service was algo good and the optios were super interesting
Everything was fantastic for dinner. Great apps, great meal and unique cocktails to try. The staff was great and especially Jeff the manager who checked in on us. Definitely recommend - we will be back!
We were in the area for an event and had a bit of time to kill so decided to have brunch. Good food and friendly service.
Great food, great decor, great service. Loved the chalk drawings by local artists. I had a view of the open kitchen. All staff (kitchen, wait staff, host and hostess) were working diligently to be sure that customers had a quality experience. Our waitress, Katie, did a fabulous job. We had flounder and scallops. They were both delicious. The vegetables were fresh, creative, and very tasty. It was a fun time. We will dine there again.
The salad with grilled salmon was delectable. The salmon melted in my mouth. The lemon dressing was light with the right mix of sweetness and acidity. The mimosas were great.
Very disappointed with my meal in particular. Mine looked like a leftover salad you would make at home - scraps of lettuce some olives with little else. Their 'house smoked' salmon was minimal in terms of quantity and very unimpressive, again particularly for the price.
My clients both had sandwiches which looked ok but given the price would have expected much more.
great experience on the costy side
Love this place. Service is always great.
The ambiance, menu, & service were a perfect tonic for a sentimental day.
I love showing my guests their chalkboard art. Their poached egg dishes are great. The staff are always so friendly and remember you always.
This was one of the most expensive but worst meals I have ever had. The service was great but I could tell our waitress was a little overwhelmed doing 4 or 5 tables by her self. The food was the worst basic food, very uninspired and unflavourful. Our date was halariously bad the plates were covered in fillers (pointless arugula salad and a mountain of fries). I have told all of my co-workers about how bad it was. I will not return. Meddlesome Morh their sister restaurant is 1,000% better.
I quite often dine here, the food quality varies from good to excellent.
The overall decoration is ok but not great.
Can be pretty noisy
Very accommodating for me and my girlfriend. She is a figure competitor and is on a special diet and her meal was customized with no problems whatsoever. She enjoyed how gracious our server was and attentive. The service alone is a great reason to come back
All in all it was a great Saturday night dinner. Only one hiccup was the bar was very slow to get drinks out. We had nearly finished our appetizer before our first drink arrived.
Friendly staff but the food was just ok.
We arrived for an early reservation on Valentine’s Day and the entire dinner seemed to be a struggle either the food quality or waiter was always something . Won’t go again. Manager was aware and should have made it right. I can’t imagine how they managed with a full house as we were one of 4 tables at the time.
Valentine’s Day, 8:45pm resi:
Special menu only, ran out of the steak option (only 4 options, so really 3) and had to modify my 2nd course because they ran out of goat cheese), $300 after bottle of wine and tip didn’t seem worth it to me. Extremely salty food.
Good but noisy
We loved our lunch /brunch at LARK in the Park. The restaurant is a good place to talk and catch up and the food is really good. It was odd though when we asked our wait staff for an opinion on the 5 brunch drinks. I was expecting some explanation of the ingredients and taste of the cocktail, what I got was someone who obviously has not been trained on this aspect of fine dining. We were told that one drink was spicy and that the others were not. We asked if there was a favorite and we were told "no, they all sell the same". At the end of this I decided to try the brunch punch and when I ordered I asked "is it good" and I was told "yeah" and I asked what was in it, and they referred me back to the menu. It was a delicious champagne punch, and I highly recommend the punch - but not the person who served it.
Great for Brunch. Great food, drinks and neat atmosphere. Chalk board art was awesome.
I set up dinner for a group of 6. It was a special night for my son. They brought out the wrong meals and the service was not what was expected. I’ve been there before and it was excellent. Very disappointed and embarrassed.
The food was good but the portions are VERY small. For an example I got the sea scallops and pork belly. The pork belly consisted of four small cubes of meat. For what you received for the price one visit here would be more than enough.
Food was delicious and Christina was wonderful.
We went for dinner. The service was good, attentive. The food, especially for the price, was VERY underwhelming, nothing to ooh and aah over. As far as going back, checked that box, on to the next.
Terrible service and quality of food
I have eaten here several times and always enjoyed our meal
Our server didn’t know the menu we had to deal with the assistant manager
I will not be rushing back or recommending this place
Food was ok, not great
Brunch was good but if you're going to offer french press coffee, your staff should all know how to actually make it. Ours looked like it was water when it was poured after is was hardly steeped for a minute. After sending it back, our waiter's solution was to double up on the amount of coffee AND let it steep for the appropriate amount I'd time even though we only asked for the latter. It was bitter mud at that point. This wouldn't be worth complaining over if he hadn't then charged us for both french presses. On top of it all there was a very loud, very drunk table next to us. The restaurant kept serving them shots during brunch even though they were clearly wasted. Overall, it was an overpriced average brunch with bad service and bad ambience.
Great waitress. Food was great but a little pricey.
Lark in the Park is a regular destination, usually for dinner before an Arts District performance. Menu changes seasonally, as does the art. Big plus! Service is generally helpful, food is good-to-excellent, and value is solid.
Return diner, was not disappointed. Steak was grilled perfectly. Everything was spot on .... Timing, temperature, taste.
Great location and food. Service very attentive
