Really missing the chefs that have left for Up On Knox. Service was classic slacker. Had to ask for everything! Several managers but they didn’t seem all that interested in what was happening with the diners. Food wasn’t bad but nothing special.
Great food and excellent staff! Our server was top notch. Very good atmosphere.
Good food on an atypical menu for Sun. brunch. Good service and a
We were having brunch before the Dallas Opera. The service was quicker than we expected, the free valet parking was very helpful, and the food was delicious. We enjoyed the chalkboard art as well.
We've been going to Lark for several years - have always considered it a safe bet for a great experience. But this time, it was underwhelming. Service was good, food was good not great and had smallest mussels I've ever been served. I'll give it another try sometime, but hope it's not falling off. Still one of the great patios in Dallas.
Brandon was an amazing sever one of the best I have had. Food was delicious. Had the bone marrow to start and finished with the Duck. Very good atmosphere not over crowded or too loud. Very affordable considering the location on Klyde Warren Park. Makes for a wonderful after dinner walk.
I had dinner with 3 friends. We all liked our food. Excellent.
Overall We really Enjoyed our delicious meals and atmosphere at Lark.
Love this place but the octopus was undercooked which has never happened in all the fines I’ve ordered it.
We went late after the symphony so perhaps the kitchen wasn’t ready for us...
Food cold, Tasted ok and portion was inadequate for prices charged for basic lunch. Will not be returning.
I ordered a burger and it was under, sent it back under again. By that time everyone in my group had finished eating and my server vanished. By the time he showed back up again it was not worth fixing. Got it to go thinking a coworker that likes rare burgers would eat it. The fries were good though.
All in all I did not have a great experience and am unlikely to return.
A great early dinner before DMA event. I appreciated being able to leave a note about post-dinner commitments and specify the time we would need to leave the restaurant.
Our office came for a special lunch, and the food was good, and everyone had a great time. The service was quite slow. This caused us to take a much longer than anticipated lunch. Faster and better service would make me more likely to recommend to others.
Great location across from park. Friendly service. Good food and original artwork on
chalkboards on walls above restaurant . Enjoyable ambience.
Atmosphere and service very good as always. The kitchen was definitely off its game. We were there early on a slow Saturday evening. Bone marrow appetizer was spot-on, but both entrees arrived lukewarm. Redfish was overcooked and accompaniments needed a fresher touch. Blah. Scallops and pork belly were likewise overcooked and unexciting. I want to keep coming here and hope chef will pay closer attention to cooking times and vibrancy.
Definitely not comfort food - flavorless, incorrect and pretentious for no reason e.g salmon ceviche is really just raw salmon and corn salad (mayo based like tuna salad)... Where is the citrus and fresh herbs? Everything had a weird orange color as well - ceviche, cornchips, shrimp and pasta dish, dressing on asparagus salad...the best thing we had was the frites with fried herbs (yum) and their most expensive bottle of wine at lunch. Service was great but food was horrible - and the server could not have fixed that. We had a variety of dishes and all tasted blah or weird or soggy or... When asked how was everything and I expressed my dissatisfaction, they offered an app, drink and encouraged us to come for the dinner tasting menu. I appreciate the acknowledgement and again, service was great.
Fantastic food, great service, and cool artwork
Had brunch here before a show at the Winspear! I highly recommend, the food and drinks were amazing and so was the service! I will be back!
We came for dinner with friends before a DSO performance.
Nice modern restaurant with great views of downtown Dallas and Klyde Warren Park, convenient comp valet parking in adjoining garage. Sat at the bar for cocktails and appetizers before a theatre performance at the Winspear. Good wine list and nice selection of appetizers and small plates.
We had told the server that we needed to leave at 7.00 we waited for over one hour for our food and had to wolve it down. It was the fault of the kitchen. Management apologizes but did not give consideration on the bill.
My only criticism is that there are no hand towels available in the bathroom.
Lark on the Park is consistent in high quality food and great atmosphere. The bar is a bonus as there is a nice collection of local and other beers on tap and the bar is convenient for waiting for your table. The staff is attentive and the menu is a good size with nice variety.
one of our favorite places near the park
Food is always consistent and well presented.
Brunch on Saturday. My friend got the Lark Benedict and said it was delicious ... I got the Pachi Pachi scrambled eggs... they were barely warm , food was served so quickly, it was as though pre-prepared. There was only salt on the table and both of us enjoy pepper on our eggs... we finally retrieved the pepper mill on our own as no one followed up to ask if we were ok.... I have had much better experiences here and must say this was a disappointment!
The food and service was wonderful! Scott, the manager, even took time to talk to us about their impressive art exhibition programs. We will absolutely be back!
Like the restaurant and come almost exclusively for the passion fruit sorbet, but last time and this time they are out. Disappointing! The lunch menu and portions are perfect for a nice lunch not too heavy.
I was excited for my first visit to Lark on the Park, and I really wanted to love it. The amuse bouche was a fritter, as were our appetizers. Though all of them were decent, none were particularly yummy. The mango sauce o. The side was the best part. Our entree was the pappadelle with pork jowls in ragu. The pappadelle was a little underdone and quite tough. The pork jowl was extremely fatty and frankly, the mouthfeel was difficult to deal with. The waiter was lovely and the gin drink was good. Not sure I will make another attempt, considering the cost.
We enjoyed our food, service, and the evening at the Lark. We will come back. Way too expensive for us to make it an often attended restaurant . Don't care for octopus and other unusual meats.
Food was ok. But nice date place or a place for drinks.
The food options and menu have evolved and it’s just not very good at all.
Hot & Cold
My mother said the scallops were the best she’d ever had in her 97 years on earth! I, unfortunately had the $30 steak. It was incorrectly cut on the bias, way too rare when I asked for medium rare, and served with cold french fries and dry arugula with no dressing. The side order of asparagus was not trimmed and half cooked. My wife’s flounder was too oily and wet and just not tasty. Disappointing.
Food was really good. Service was algo good and the optios were super interesting
Everything was fantastic for dinner. Great apps, great meal and unique cocktails to try. The staff was great and especially Jeff the manager who checked in on us. Definitely recommend - we will be back!
We were in the area for an event and had a bit of time to kill so decided to have brunch. Good food and friendly service.
Great food, great decor, great service. Loved the chalk drawings by local artists. I had a view of the open kitchen. All staff (kitchen, wait staff, host and hostess) were working diligently to be sure that customers had a quality experience. Our waitress, Katie, did a fabulous job. We had flounder and scallops. They were both delicious. The vegetables were fresh, creative, and very tasty. It was a fun time. We will dine there again.
The salad with grilled salmon was delectable. The salmon melted in my mouth. The lemon dressing was light with the right mix of sweetness and acidity. The mimosas were great.
Very disappointed with my meal in particular. Mine looked like a leftover salad you would make at home - scraps of lettuce some olives with little else. Their 'house smoked' salmon was minimal in terms of quantity and very unimpressive, again particularly for the price.
My clients both had sandwiches which looked ok but given the price would have expected much more.
great experience on the costy side
Love this place. Service is always great.
The ambiance, menu, & service were a perfect tonic for a sentimental day.
