Unfortunately, we were there to celebrate it's last day. Always a winning taste there but it will be replaced from what I understand a sports bar.
I will miss you Lark!
This review is obviously moot because today is the last day the restaurant is in business. However our disappointment needs to be noted. We arrived around 11:15; not terribly busy. The hostess greeted us warmly and seated us quickly. The waitress was friendly and charming. We asked for a champagne cocktail but we were served a French 75. We sent it back with instructions for a correct champagne cocktail. Ordered eggs Benedict. Slow coming out. Eggs were cool, hollandaise was cold. Potatoes very good. It’s a shame our last experience at what was previously one of our favorites was such a disappointment. Also of note, our Two previous visits were equally as disappointing . Looks like things definitely need to be revamped.
It closed on Sunday. We're heartbroken. Good-bye, Lark.
What an enjoyable experience to dine at the Lark on the Park. Upon the recommendation of a friend we were first timers and unfortunately last timers as well. The owners decided to close the next day to renovate and open under a new concept. As was put to me by the Executive Chef, "we had a very good run"!
First time to dine at LARK. We went on a Sunday after church. Love the location and service was fine. The mixed fruit plate was pretty hideous, as some of the fruit was spoiled. My wife ordered the lox/bagel which was fine. My crab omelette was burned and the crab meat inside was cold. Pretty disappointing over-all. The manager apologized and they took the fruit plate off our bill, but did nothing about the burnt omelette. Our server told us that most of the regular kitchen staff had been a no-show that day, so that probably explains the poor results.
Just was great time. Service was excellent food was perfect. Just a very nice place to go on a date.
We went for Thanksgiving brunch. We ordered the pre- dice turkey dinner and they took our order for dessert at the same time. The food came out in a reasonable length of time, it was your basic thanksgiving fair, which is really all we wanted. Our waiter, Caleb, was very nice but not attentive. After the food was delivered we were completely forgotten. No one ever came back. After our dishes were cleared we waited a while and decided to get out our card and tell them to bring the bill and pie at the same time. We had to flag someone down, finally got our bill, waited a while for the pie and finally gave up and left! We decided we didn’t need the pie anyway, lol! Suffice it to say the service was terrible.
Our waiter was amazing!! We brought our toddler to dine with us since it was my mother’s birthday, and the waiter was so sweet and fun with her! Food and atmosphere can’t be beat for brunch!
This was by far our most unusual visit here. Made reservations for after a show on a Sat night. Got there a little early and to our surprise it was not packed and they seated us early. Restaurant was a less than half full at this time with no one at the bar.
Then we waited, and waited and waited some more. About 10 mins after we sat down the waitress came by finally and asked if we wanted waters. When those came a few minutes after that she reappeared and asked about drinks, ordered some great wine and as she was walking away she stopped and turned around to us. “We have a couple of quail left” was all she said and started to walk away again. My wife stopped her and asked if that was the special, turns out it was.
She came back about 5 minutes later, by now we have had almost 30 minutes to stare at the menu to take our orders. She was helpful in answering a few questions we had about that. Food showed up rather quickly after ordering, guess due to the lack of tables, and as usual was great food. She stopped by once to check in during the meal.
After we finished the meal she came by to grab the plates and dropped a dessert/after dinner drinks menu. Then it was back to the waiting game for what seemed like 30 minutes but was probably closer to 15. We had to flag her down to ask for the check.
The always have great food and drinks here. Service has also been a positive until this last visit. I can see if the restaurant is slammed on a Saturday night but this wasn’t the case. The waitress on a whole seemed like she didn’t want to be there and had better things to do then check on us. We all have bad nights here and there but for a restaurant to be that empty on a Saturday night at 9pm maybe try everything you can to make those that are there have a great experience. This will make us think before coming back again, do we really want to eat here?
Swordfish awful, smelled fishy. Not a place I recommend.
Every trip to Meyerson, we make a first stop at Lark. Always great.
Very nice introduction to our guests from Ireland who had spent very little time previously in DFW. They were impressed with our lunch experience. Thank you for making it great.
Lark on the Park never disappoints. The atmosphere is comfortable and classy. The food is perfectly delicious.
Love this place! Met friends for lunch, we stayed a little long visiting and they were fine with it! Nice, upscale and cozy.
Waited over 30 minutes for brunch and they were not busy. Upon receiving food it was cold. Been many times and this was the first time I had this experience. Hopefully it is not a trend.
Love this place! One of our favorites.. looking forward to whatever new project they start in future!
We hadn’t been in a few years and thought it was time to try it again. We thoroughly loved it! I had the fried egg sandwich and it was delicious. A great place for brunch!
Service and food are EXCELLENT as always.
Restaurant had something for everyone. I’m vegan and they were very accommodating. Brussel sprouts were awesome.
Food and service great as usual. Chia pudding delish but way overpriced. Make it a larger portion or charge less!
Another great meal at Lark on the Park. Shared grilled octopus to start, followed by grilled lamb for my wife and grilled steak for me. Topped off with coffee and a little pana cotta that we split. Friendly service and only a short walk to the Myerson to hear the Symphony, One of our favorite spots in Dallas.
Amazing prix fixes menu pre-theater. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and overall awesome!
We had an amazing time. Great prices. Amazing food. Complimentary valet.
I enjoy the outdoor seating overlooking Clyd Warren Park. Great place to take visitors to show off Dallas Arts Distric
Brunch punch 👍🏻 Nice place to get bite to eat, next to Klyde Warren Park.
Excellent steak! Good service. Good wine. Was disappointed to see another restaurant had popped up, blocking the park view, but LARK is still worth a visit!
Lark on the Park has been one of my favorite destinations since its opening for a a unique dining experience , and my husband and I have been to Sunday brunch many times for the changing out of the chalkboard art. Therefore, I was extremely disappointed on last Wednesday at lunchtime expecially after bringing friends who had never dined there before. My friend's hamburger was delicious, but my salmon chop salad was extremely disappointing. It appeared that the chef had used the very last leaves in the kitchen and they were sparse. Also, no jicama as promised on the menu, and the salmon appeared to be only around an ounce. We have had unique, delicious meals there in the past, but mine was a huge disappoinment. I ate the salad, because we had been walking through Klyde Warren Park and I was starving. My other friend had the Park salad and the sorghum croutons were left out. Our service was excellent and ambience was great, but I probably will not be back for lunch.
Good menu, not too many choices but all had something different about it. The chips that came with the queso fundido were under-fried, making them oil soaked and chewy. Otherwise, the rest of the food was excellent!
Service was not great, but I think it was because of the specific waiter (sorry, I do not remember his name). he kept interrupting, clearing plates clumsily and getting in the way. At one point I had to stop eating because he was reaching across me to clear and his fist full of dirty forks was so completely in my face I thought he would get food on me if I did not move.
I would go again, I hear brunch is really good, but will try for a different waiter next time.
We have been here several times. This is the first time it was a bad experience. Our food was wonderful. Our waiter would disappear and act inconvenienced to get things for us. Toward the end we felt like we were almost rushed out. So much so, that we ended up across the street to have an after dinner drink because LARK wasn’t interested in us staying.
Wonderful experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Date night. Fun place.
Food was horrible , service was good but food was below sub par
Went for a friend's birthday. I find this food very consistent and very enjoyable. Great wait staff
Good food - service average - would recommend - no lattes
It was great & cool but not many other diners....food was excellent...antipasto platter was good starter...scallops were excellent!
The food is very good however my salad this time had too much dressing. Noise level is high. The restaurant is really pretty and everyone is nice and friendly. I always think in Lark on the Park for my lunches.
This was my first time eating Brunch here. There was a wide variety of choices. The eggs benedict with salmon was delicious. Service was great, and we were not rushed, giving us opportunity for long conversation. As usual, the experience was enhanced by the beautiful chalk drawings all around us.
Where do I start! From the door service was 100% we started as a party of 3 that needed up only being 2 and we’re still seated at probably prime real estate that would accommodate 4 on a Saturday night at 8:00. We were greeted almost immediately with waters and our drink order was taken within 2 minutes, following our bottle of wine within 5! The executive chef described almost each dish if not all to us, took his time and made us feel like we were the only guest in the restaurant! Our server was attentive but not overly intrusive, had stellar recommendations, even continued to check on us after our checked was dropped! Coming from a former hostess at meddlesome moth (there sister restaurant) , current hostess in the hall arts building, and active diner and 10 year employee industry (in which they had no clue) Bravo lark
My husband and I were here for lunch midweek. We enjoyed the beer and basil lemon cooler. However, he ordered grilled chicken with roasted corn and wild mushrooms -- the corn and mushrooms were very good but the chicken was minute (looked more like a quail or cornish hen). I enjoyed the lamb burger and had asked for a sub for frites -- the fresh fruit was very nice but the charge for the change was $4 (not explained by the waitress).
