Larios on the Beach Ratings and Reviews
Great experience! The coconut mojitos were amazing. We all had seafood dishes—the grilled seafood, camarones enchilados and the catch of the day (grouper) were all perfectly prepared. We shared the Abuela Maria ice cream for dessert; it was delicious. Service was prompt and attentive. A great choice for dinner in South Beach.
Good food and amazing people watching. Set right on Ocean Drive, you'll see plenty of characters walking down the sidewalk or parking their luxury cars outside the many hotels that line this block. Authentic Cuban cuisine (we opted for the sandwiches) and flavorful mojitos will be just the ticket for your afternoon lunch in South Beach at this renowned restaurant owned by the one and only Gloria Estefan.
I was there to celebrate my 50th birthday. ( It was never acknowledged)The food was good and the service was attentive. The noise level is awful so it was difficult to have a conversation. The live music was amazing, however, when people started dancing in the aisles the dancing intruded on those seated at their tables trying to enjoy their meals.
Always an excellent place to dine. The food is superb. Their “vaca frita” is an incredible dish.
The only thing that detracts from what would otherwise be perfect (for dining inside) is that the noise level from conversations is high.
They have sidewalk dining, but the inside ambience is a better experience despite the noise level.
This was my 47 birthday and I just had a bad break up. I wanted to treat myself to a nice dinner but I needed it to be a bit quiet. The wait staff was wonderful!!’ They checked in on me they took a pic of me to commemorate my bday. The food was great!!!! So delicious! I will be back
Not what it used to be. Out of so many things on the menu at lunch on a Wednesday. Super slow service and we noticed everyone around us complaining about this as well. Food is mediocre these days. I hope the Estafan’s step in and make some improvements. It used to be great.
We were seated next to a table of incredibly loud people —. Yelling and clapping and howling. Hate to sound like a grump, but we couldn’t hear each other talk and our waiter, while sympathetic and acknowledging how loud our neighbors were, just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he could do. Additionally, the waitstaff loaded up our small table with our main dishes before we had even finished our appetizers, which made us feel rushed and saw our mains cool down before we were ready to get to them. The food actually was pretty good and not overpriced....
Enjoyed late night dinner and had the whimsical romantic atmosphere in the dining room to ourselves. Service was a little inattentive, but probably due to most of the guests where dining outdoors so they could enjoy the nightlife. The tour of Cuba was best dish.
If you want to impress a friend or date, Larios is a great place to go. It has a great ambiance, beautifully decorated with rich tones and lighting. Plenty of options for Fine dining, not to mention good people watching being on Oceans drive in South Beach. Tried some of the Cuban steak options which was excellent, can’t go wrong with empanadas either. It also provides outdoor seating
Appetizers were very good. I had the seafood soup and my husband had the avocado tower. The entrees (an Asian fried rice dish and the seafood platter) were just ok. The noise level was very high and there was no live music as advertised. Also it is misleading to call this a beach front restaurant- the beach is across the street separated from the restaurant by a street packed with cars. Definitely did not meet our expectations.
