Lantana - Hyatt Regency Indian Well Resort and Spa Ratings and Reviews
Our table had the salmon and the pasta Bolognese and a pair of salads. The tab with tip was $133 including one alcoholic beverage and one desert. The food was good, but not fantastic. I thought the price was a little high given the quality of our meal. I will try some other restaurants in the area out before going back anytime soon.
This resort is great and the restaurant is good, food was good, service was good for the price it wasn't great. I know fine dinning portions are small but this was really small. But the food was good and we didn't have to leave so overall it was a good experience.
We went to Lantana's to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary and had a great time. We both had the Filet Mignon and they were cooked to perfection. Our server Trey was outstanding and was very attentive to our needs. Kudo's to the Hyatt and Lantana for having such a nice young man working for them.
This restaurant was definitely a disappointment. Extremely high prices for below average food. We were seated out on the patio, which was nice but chilly in the breeze, and no heaters. No tablecloth on the plain white wobbly table. In addition to the menu, there was a buffet filled with kid-friendly finger foods, and kids ran back and forth next to our table the entire time. The servers were polite but rushed and harried, one server was actually running between the dining area and the kitchen. Not great on ambience. I ordered the Caesar salad, which was dull and lacked that "tang" in the dressing. Next was roast chicken breast, which was over cooked and dry. The sweet potatoes and leek risotto were good. They brought bread when we asked for it, but no butter. We skipped dessert and bought ice cream in the mini-market.
Nothing about this place is special or worth remembering. Skip it and drive into town for dinner, it's worth it.
Our server Christy. Was over-the-top. For cocktails Caesar was also amazing. My lobster pasta was delicious as was the Caesar salad and everything was delivered I've been hot and no delays. The assistant food and beverage Director was everywhere even said hi to us the next day by the pool. We normally stay at La Quinta but it was booked so this is a new hideaway for us. Keep up the good work! Oh by the way our room was cozy large and the most comfortable bed ever!
The hostess with dark hair and glasses was a rude as any rude employee I have ever experience . She was nasty and threw a high chair against the wall . She almost ruined Christmas dinner . The food is VERY expensive but they did an adequate Christmas buffet . I would definitely return to this resort again but I would eat elsewhere . Tons of local restaurants just as good at 1/4 of the price .
We celebrate Thanksgiving dinner at the Lantana-Hyatt Regency. I've been cooking Thankgiving dinner for over 10 years straight and my husband convinced me to take a break this year....we made reservations for the Lantana and we couldn't have been more happy with the their Thanksgiving feast. The food with not only beautifully displayed it was DELICIOUS! The service was also excellent! We all had a great time. Thank you for making our 2016 Thanksgiving a memorable one.
We typically do not go out for Thanksgiving dinner but decided to do so this year. It was definitely worth it. We have a delightful time. The food, service and ambiance was outstanding. I highly recommend the Thanksgiving Brunch at Lantana.
Very pleased with over all experience from check-in to dining. We were especially pleased with the reserved seating complete with our name displayed at our table. If you're looking for a warm and inviting atmosphere for the holidays, that is not over crowded, with beautiful surroundings, and friendly staff; then this place is it :)
We enjoyed the Thanksgiving Buffet at Landana. Great selection of Cold Seafood, nice salad assortment, great carved Turkey and Beef...and the best selection of deserts that we have seen in years. And my Gluten Free wife was able to eat without worry.
We sat outdoors and enjoyed the warm desert evening. The La Quinta IPA was cold and bitter. Perfect for a warm evening. We wanted Pizza, our waiter kindly brought us a bar menu. We ordered an odd combo of food. Beet Bruchetta, Vegetarian Pizza, and mashed Sweet Potatoes. Everything came well presented and fresh tasting. After paying the bill, the waiter brought us a gift of a beautifully boxed chocolate treat.
I expect bland food, so-so service, and a corporate/industrial setting when going to a Hyatt hotel restaurant. Lantana was fun, fresh, with attentive friendly servers. The experiment paid big dividends for us.
our food was not very tasty for all three of us. We were the only ones there but it started to get a bit busier as we were leaving. The food did not fit the reputation and was way over priced. Two of us had tasteless salads and one chicken sandwich on burnt toast. I was very surprised. 🙁
The stay was wonderful other Than what was supposed to be a fabulous lunch.
The Easter Brunch featured many items, lunch and breakfast. However, our reservation was for 9am so clearly we would not be getting the ham/beef/lamb choices. The price of $59 per person should have been adjusted. That's way too much to pay for an omelette!
For Valentines with my daughter, the restaurant was not very busy. But we waited almost 18minutes before being greeted by the server. Then another 15to get drinks ... And another 30 for food. Had it been an overly crowded evening, I'd better understand. But half the tables were empty and there was no need for the slow service.
We went to Lantana for the Xmas Dinner buffet. The atmosphere was disappointing - kind of like a family restaurant with lots of noise, not much ambiance. The service was also very slow and the restaurant looked a bit chaotic (chairs blocking the way, tables not cleared, etc.). However, the food at the buffet was very good. Everything was hot. The leek and potato soup was delicious, as were the roasted brussels sprouts. Desserts were tasty, too.
We arrived on time and waited in line for over five minutes to check in. It was extremely noisy and crowded with children running around unsupervised.
Then they tried to sit us outside in 40-45 degree weather, my mom is 77 and can't take it that cold long enough to have a meal. We came back and the hostess rolled her eyes when we asked to be seated inside. The she sat us in the back near the service area. We walked back to the hostess who again rolled her eyes.
Everything could have been great except that my $49 steak & prawns dinner arrived medium-well to well done after I ordered a medium-rare steak. At this price point you certainly expect your steak to arrive cooked as you ordered it. (I wasn't the only one at the table whose medium-rare steak was over-cooked. The other person sent hers back. I wanted to eat at the same time as the rest of our group so I ate my over-cooked steak even though I do not enjoy over-cooked steak at all.)
