Great until band played. People just sat at open tables and stood next to you while still having meals.
So disappointed. The food was bland, service was slow and it was the first place I’ve ever been to that doesn’t have olives for martinis. Such a shame because we used to be regulars at it’s sister restaurant Labrador Lounge.
Horrible. Had reservations and tried to seat us at the booth by the front door when two of the half circular booths were open. Then took us to a different table when we requested the half circular booth. Ordered a lobster dish and they were out of lobster, out of the beer that was ordered. Slow service and actually totally forgot two drink orders. Food was below average in quality and taste. They are fortunate that their typical clients are very young and don't know what good food and service are yet.
Great service & food. The menu is unique, you must take the time to read about each item.
Good as always! Eclectic menu. Sushi to short ribs..... good stuff. Never disappoints.
Skillet steak was unbelievably delicious
Waitress was not super knowledgeable about the menu.
This is a very nice restaurant on the boardwalk. It's got a nice atmosphere either sitting inside or outside based on the weather. The menu is ecclectic and the food is great. It's a little pricey but worth it. I recommend this.
This restaurant had good reviews, however, we were not impressed with the food. My halibut was overcooked and the sides not very flavorful. Service was prompt but my friend's entree came out before her app and also before my entree. Sushi was not very good.
Great meeting spot before a show at the Stone Pony. Service was excellent & menu varied to accommodate different tastes
Delicious food! Unique Menu...we have been here so many times and will continue to return! Love langosta!
I have been here multiple times. Always a pleasant experience. We normally just eat several appetizers because they are so good. However the entrees are very good as well. Service is always great and they make the best jalapeño margarita I have ever had.
Food was fantastic, staff was kind and helpful, atmosphere was just we wanted for date night! It was only loud because they had live music (which was fun!). We’ll go back again.
Not our first time at Langosta but first time writing a review. The food is great with a diverse menu. I don’t think I’ve ever opted for the same thing twice (other than the lobster pizza)! This place is best during the summer when you can eat outside and enjoy the bustle of the Asbury Park boardwalk, but it does not disappoint during the winter. It’s also our favorite spot to enjoy the famous Asbury Park Zombie Walk. Food by Marilyn Schlossbach is so good, they’re catering our wedding in Oct. We can’t wait!
Another’s great experience. Food, service and band Sharief, was awesome. Can’t wait to go back
Went to Langosta before going to the Light of Day concert. We were able to make reservations and were seated almost exactly at our reserved time. The menu is diverse and really fun. Each of us (4) got a different sort of ethnic food. It was all very good!
Went there with party of 6. Sat right away. Food, service and drinks were awesome. Highly recommend and we will be back
Great music! Great food! Wonderful night!
Excellent spot to meet up with friends or for a funky date night. The food was eclectic and the staff was super friendly. Really enjoyed the live music after 9pm.
I was somewhat disappointed for the first time after coming here for years. The service was curt bordering on rude, and just minimal. That had never been the case in the past. Also, I think it would be a good idea to go back to having breadsticks or roast garlic and a small amount of bread on the table. He told us "we don't do bread here" with no other comment when we asked for some.
Very good meal, with great service in a wonderful location. The cocktails were good. My wife loved her shrimp dish and I enjoyed my Coconut Curry Bowl. Our salad appetizer was good as well.
Met friends and we loved it. Usually sit at the bar which is a treat but sat at great table. See you soon ma'am.
Two of the 7 main courses we ordered were not good. We normally enjoy the food but this time it was off. I did say something to the waiter but he just shrugged. Also, while we were eating a huge umbrella tipped over and hit the table next to us and almost hit the patrons dog. The two children in our party were frightened. Overall not a good experience.
Horrible service - our waitress never gave us silverware. Never asked us for refills at all. Our food was brought out way after everyone else. My friends sushi was sitting on the sushi counter for about 20 mins we saw it. Food was great but the waitress with long reddish hair needs to be better at managing a bunch of tables.
Wonderful food and great view of the ocean and boardwalk.
Been to Langosta many times and the quality of food has declined
This restaurant has always been one of my favorites in Asbury! I ordered the Caribbean vacation which was really good. My husband had the shrimp Haliíimaile which was good but not great! My friends ordered the curry dish which I don't think they enjoyed very much. Although the calamari appetizer was tasty, it was a disappointingly small portion. I will definitely go back but this was not one of my favorite visits
We ordered a clam chowder soup and they served a watery spicey soup. When we complained they said they had run out of clam chowder soup. Outrageously expensive
Always good vibe. And eccletic menu. Lobster pizza great. Pasta nice but not enough shrimp. Fries yummy. Good specialty drinks. Seems a bit pricier every time we go.
Food and service were both terrible, making this restaurant a complete fail. Restaurant was relatively empty. Our appetizers took over 30 minutes to come out. Entrees took another 45 minutes. The waiter only came to the table when we had runners flag him down. By the time the food arrived, we were famished, but the food was worse than the service and can only be explained as "soggy". The noodles in the curry chicken turned into mush in the bowl, the lobster pizza was soft, flavorless, and mealy. Even the "crispy" calimary was soggy. Only thing not soggy was a tomato based pasta dish. Those noodles were cold and the sauce had already congealed, like left-overs straight from the fridge. The kid's grilled cheese panini was a microwaved piece of cheese on a pita pocket. We were a party of 8. The tastiest thing was a plain, dry chicken breast that one in our party ordered because she is on a diet! Management was completely unapologetic.
It was a birthday celebration. It worked out very well.
Old school customers, and nothing like fresh sushi at the beach!*:)
eclectic menu, very bleachy on the boardwalk on the ocean. good food, very casual feeling. Young well trained servers. good place to try.
The food was good, the chefs make a strong effort to use locally grown organic ingredients, and try to support local farmers. Saushito peppers were my favorite, calamari was good, salad was fresh. sushi was decent, nothing spectacular. cocktails were nice, but they ran out of the one we liked best (a mango rum drink). The mai tai was pretty bad. good beer selection. Biggest complaint is that they were out of a whole bunch of menu items - we got there at 7:30 - they were closing at 9pm on a Sunday night. So some of the things we would have ordered we were unable to.
I like the old menu from a few years ago that had the rice bowls, etc. the tuna I had was not great but they took it back with no question. The restaurant is known for it philanthropy events for the homeless. Will always support them.
Food was decent, chairs were a little uncomfortable and outdoor seating could use a little more decor.
The drinks were original and very well done. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal, but agreed I ordered the best thing on the menu, which was the short ribs. They were fork tender and very flavorful. Dessert was fun and delicious, make your own smores.
Our waitress Tatiana was really the bright spot of our visit. Seating we were given was in dark corner far from the more popular ocean views. When I asked for better seating it was a summary "no". I had shrimp halimaile and my wife had the Khoa noodle with shrimp. Food portions were enormous but I would have preferred less with more emphasis on quality, taste and presentation. Winelist was limited. Skipped desert, had a night cap and made an exit. In summary, not worth the beach hype but maybe the hype is the norm in Asbury Park.
Lovely Ocean front seating, attentive service, delicious meal.
Great location, friendly staff, cute decor but my noodles we're overcooked. All of my companions enjoyed the food. The curry was flavorful but the noodles were so overcooked they became attached to each other which ruined the dish.
