An ideal destination to dine with friends, celebrate special milestones, or spoil yourself and your favourite dining companion. The formal dining room and casual bar area - Wilks' Bar - are found on a 75 acre gardened estate within an elegant turn of the century country house. Serving breakfast, lunch, Sunday brunch, afternoon tea, and dinner - the cuisine is inspired by the seasons, with wild produce growing in abundance on the property and from the bounty of the kitchen gardens.

Dishes are created with purpose, embraced with a story behind each product along with a glimpse at the terroir of Langdon Hall. As the seasons change, the menu changes to reflect the reaps of the harvest. For this reason the menu items change on a regular basis.

The dining room at Langdon Hall has been awarded the coveted Five Diamond Award from AAA/CAA for twelve consecutive years.

We had a lovely afternoon and lunch at Langdon Hall with good friends celebrating a special occasion. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff was excellent. The food was delicious, but the portions are very small and I mean VERY small. I remembered this from the last time we ate dinner here a few years ago. Still a beautiful spot for a special lunch or dinner.

An incredible menu. Nothing on the plate is overlooked from beauty to taste. Service is also exceptional.

I have been there in the past for high tea and loved it. Took a friend to celebrate a milestone Birthday and it was a disaster. They did not have the wine we wanted so end up paying double the price for what they had. They brought my friend the wrong meal then I ask that they kept my warm while I waited for hers. Hers came undercooked and mine was cold. They did not charge for one appetizer but still. I will not recommend spending $150 on a lunch that's not quite edible.

The service is excellent, and the location the beautiful. Cooking was less than satisfactory... We ordered 3 different entrees to share between my wife and I, and the taste were subpar. The vegetables were very nicely made, but the pork and chicken were dry and lacking flavour.

Not worth the price is for sure. But even if they were $10 meals, I would still think twice. Visited March 20, 2018 for lunch.

Everything about Dining at Langdon Hall is exquisite. Quality and presentation of the food and drinks; the staff and their special service (explaining the details of each dish); the grounds and dining setting. I wonderful treat to celebrate anything !

I was quite surprised to see people dressed in jeans. Why can't people dress appropriately.

One lady looked like she was wearing pajamas I believe she was a guest at the hotel

Langdon Hall is our go-to destination when we have a special event to celebrate.
It is not cheap but we feel we are worth it. If you are looking for a really classy experience you can't go wrong.

Our lunch at LH was wonderful from the moment that we walked into this beautiful residence. The service was impeccable and the food outstanding. It was especially good for me to have more than one choice of a gluten and lactose free meal from the menu. And imagine! ....homemade gluten free bread served with olive oil. Thank you!

The historic value exceeds the cost of both accommodation and dinning .While food and service were very good the facility is getting that " tried look". It was interesting to visit and we enjoyed our stay but felt it was very over priced.

Honestly I was so looking forward to my lunch at Langdon Hall but was very disappointed. I found that the menu did not accurately describe the dish. I had smoked salmon appetizer and was expecting thin slices but got a (slightly fishy) slab. Pork for main course and was expecting tenderloin but got a tough fatty "steak". Dessert ordered apple pie concoction but is was NOTHING like apple pie and the custardy part was not very appetizing. My companion however ordered differently and was very pleased with her meal (veal tartare, beef rib which looked and smelled delcious and chocolate hazelnut eclaire which also looked excellent). The ambiance is lovely and the service excellent. Prices are very expensive.

The ambience is amazing from the tree lined drive to smell of wood smoke and the softly candlelit bar. A lovely evening.

We go to dine in Langdon Hall on special occasions, celebrations, meeting friends, etc., as it is not very far drive for us. This time we dined over lunch on Tuesday. The place was quiet and we were served in the smaller dining hall. Thus it stayed charming and intimate. Food was good, as always. Service was impeccable. We also liked the selection of backgrounds music, although it could have been tuned down.

We had Sunday brunch to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. Everything was really wonderful: the food, the service, the ambiance. And we will definitely go back. I was, however, disappointed by the $40 charged for my picky two-year-old grandaughter's meal. Maybe for children that young, the restaurant could provide a complimentary meal. It just spoiled the day a bit.

Overall, an outstanding experience and worth the trip from Toronto, on occasion. I’d call it one of the top restaurants in Southern Ontario. We opted for the tasting menu to make the most of the trip and experience the best of what the kitchen had to offer. Portions were appropriate for the length of the meal. Each course was outstanding, with the caviar particularly memorable. Only shortcoming was the length of the meal which took about 4.5hrs, and maybe to-be-expected for the tasting menu but we were not anticipating that length. Otherwise: 5-star all the way.

We went for a New Year’s Eve brunch.
The food was ok, not excellent as we were expecting. It’s disappointing considering you’re paying $72/person. The whiskey pudding - I do not recommend. The gnocchetti main dish - is mediocre.
I think LH should include coffee & tea in their brunch menu price.
The service was great.
I’ve had better brunches and paid far less. I don’t think the meal was worth the $$ price, but perhaps you’re paying for the ambience.

What started out as a problem became an example of great customer service. I booked through OpenTable for 2 p.m. which was within the time for the Afternoon Tea service, however the reservation went through for a lunch reservation. When my friend and I arrived, we were told that the hostess would have to check to see if there was room for us for Afternoon Tea. After checking with the staff and the chef, they made space for us in the lovely, light-filled room where we enjoyed a most delicious assortment of food and some of the finest teas available. We were quite impressed with the fine service we received.
Perhaps the reservation system could be updated to allow for the choice of sfternoon tea when applicable.

We celebrated a friend’s 80th birthday party there recently. Though there was another very large event going on in another building and a full dining room, we were still treated with such care and attention and my friend, who had never been, said it was the best dining experience in all ways she’d ever had. Everything was so outstanding - just can’t recommend it highly enough! Such a gem - love Langdon.

Lovely grounds. I would recommend a drink in the sun rooms or on the sun porch. Pricey but great food. Limited lunch menu so I would recommend checking it before booking. You may have to call to find out whats on menu as it was not on line when I booked. I found dining room very very formal and cold as opposed to cozy so I liked the sun room and bar areas better. I would suggest the brochure with the trail info to be put on all tables to increase the experience. I would provide more history to guests maybe in the menus or in the wine list as one of the main reason for attending this venue is the the grounds and historical nature of this lovely setting.

A beautiful setting but alas, the food was subpar. The meat dish was tough and the vegetables were overcooked. I was dreaming of the eclair but it was chewy with a bland cream filling. Our server was most pleasant. The problem is in the kitchen. Lovely cocktails.
