Special night, amazing service, perfect food and ingrediants, presentation was impeccable....
Will be back many times
What a superb meal. This has to be one of the best restaurants in Canada. The setting is gorgeous, the staff excellent and the food outstanding. Beautiful flavours, inspired ingredients and brilliant presentation.
A great experience.
We were celebrating our 10th anniversary. We had the tasting menu. Overall, we enjoyed the experience, some of the portions could have been bigger.
Trying to be more than it really is. The restaurant is wonderful for breakfast but I recommend looking for a dinner alternative
Outstanding meal in a gorgeous setting. The service was top-notch. Highly recommended for a special evening out.
Weekends morning will have families including kids.
When I made an online reservation I thought I was booking for Afternoon Tea but we were booked for lunch. Apparently you need to telephone to book the Afternoon Tea. Luckily the staff were able to put together Afternoon Tea for the 3 of us. We had been for the Afternoon Tea last year and although the food was very good we felt that the food the previous year was much better. Afternoon Tea is a wonderful experience and we hope to make this an annual event.
Such a beautiful place and great service. Can't wait to come back.
The food was underwhelming, main dish portions were app size, price very high.
Does not live up to hype.
Definitely not worth the price.
Service was exceptional though.
We attended Langdon Hall for our annual girl's weekend not really understanding what we were going to do, it was just that it was handy for everyone. The resort and the grounds are beautiful making the setting special from the start. The service is the star here, everyone is impeccably trained and friendly making it easy to visit. There were some fun things to do during the day and the dinner was made special with a menu that offered a lot of variety while still filling the need to create a special occasion. I would recommend the experience to anyone looking to do something different to mark a moment.
as always, the whole place was superb: food, service, wine, etc.
Had a fabulous summer lunch in the garden with a dear friend, it was lovely in the shade under the tremendous tree canopy (Camperdown Elm?). The menu was creative and our meals were delicious and intriguing. We were delighted that we were welcome tour the beautiful gardens and grounds and we sat in one of the garden areas to chat.
Whatever you do, do not skip dessert. This is an overall unforgettable fine dining experience.
Property is great; food is also generally really good. The main issue is that they accommodate more guests than their staff can properly handle, especially at the expectation that the price point suggests. The staff they hire also tends to be on the more inexperienced, younger/summer-job side, which also waters down the experience when compared to other properties with similar credentials. Lastly, they aren’t able to juggle both private events (e.g weddings) and standalone parties well simultaneously. When push comes to shove, the private event wins out.
10/10 amazing experience as always
Opted for tasting menu, second half was exceptionally slow, too much time between courses to the point that the meal became cumbersome. Did not do anything special for dessert course, though the reservation had requested it, since this was an anniversary dinner. Not impressed with level of service and attentiveness. Expected fairly impeccable timing and service at an establishment such as this. From a culinary standpoint, the meal was still interesting. However the overall experience was less than spectacular.
Beautiful location that did not live up to its billing. We were there for dinner. The Staff were pleasant, especially the sommelier. The poached scallop appetizer was a disappointment - two sea scallops cut in half in an indifferent sauce for 28 bucks. The thyme roasted beef was excellent. Our meal was very late and tables who came in long after us were eating while we were still waiting. The manager ,who was very much in evidence at other tables, did not visit ours, knowing I am sure that we were unhappy. A sample of truffle soup (way too salty!) was offered by a server by way of an apology. We had been looking forward to this meal and were very discouraged by the experience. Given the premium pricing vs the product , I could not recommend this to others.
My husband and I went there for dinner because our children and their significant others bought us a gift certificate. We will definitely go back again and again! In fact, our son is thinking about getting married there. Perfect spot for a wedding.
A memorable stay in elegant surroundings and highlighted by gourmet dining ! Relais et Châteaux ontarien experience !
Lovely brunch under a centennal tree. Worth the detour for great food in a beautiful setting!
N’hésitez pas à venir ici pour un brunch élégant dans un décor champêtre !
For a VERY SPECIAL event the Tasting Menu with wine parring is remarkable ! Spectacular presentation and incredibly well layer flavours! Well worth the detour !
Birthday July 28, must wait 2 weeks to get a table to celebrate B/Day July 12 could not get a table at 7 PM took 6 PM. Arrived early to enjoy a drink and the outdoors before dinner. In the In the Bar area people were dressed very casual, shorts, t- shirt and flip/flop some walking around with bare feed. A couple were siding in the Bar area, him with this bare feed on the table. We were dressed according to your dress code "suit, jackets are recommend no denim, sportswear or shorts". This must be for the restaurant only, but still people in this restaurant were dressed in denim, sneakers and no jackets. At any time at the restaurant there were no more than 20 people in this huge restaurant so why did we had to book a table at 6 PM instead of 7 PM? The food was very good as it should be at a place like this. We were disappointed that you let people dine in this nice House in their Beach Outfit. We were looking for a venue for a bigger event later this year with people coming in from aboard, but we do not think this is the venue when other guest a walking around in sweatpants and hoodies and we will be in Tuxedo and long dresses. Sorry, but we spent a lot of money and were dressed like we were expected other to be also so sad to see the were not and you allowed this to happen in this Old and Nice House.
Vaux le détour ! Découvrez l’Ontario, son charme champêtre, sa cuisine inspirée des produits locaux, voilà ce dont vous ferez l’experience Ici.
For an elegant dining experience don’t miss spending the night @LangdonHall! Great sommelier suggestion and amazing food! Looking forward to tonight’s renewed experience!
If you are Looking for the very Best Croissants and strawberry jam this is THE place! Loved the multi layer Greek yogurt parfait as well!
Menue intéressant, présentation moderne et soignée. Soirée gourmet réussie !
Lovely to have had another delightful meal at Langdon Hall.
Fantastic stay - everyone was so welcoming! Our room was well appointed, although a few furniture pieces need replacement. The grounds are well maintained and the pool was fabulous! Staff in all venues were attentive - the food was amazing. Highly recommend for a nice overnight get-away. You will feel rejuvenated!
Lovely property. Sat outside on a beautiful summer evening. Food was of exceptional quality. I had foie gras, seared halibut, and a raspberry tort for dessert. Service was very good. Extensive wine list. A little pricey, but worth it.
Enjoyed the food and ambience. I ordered the beef loin and I was shocked at how delicious it was. We got very tiny complimentary salads which I also thought I was delicious. I would go again for a special occasion
The food at Langdon Hall gets a 10 / 10. It's worth the drive to Cambridge! We went for an anniversary lunch and the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful - just what we were looking for. We went for a stroll in the gardens afterwards, including the vegetable and herb garden. One of the gardeners took the time to chat with us about what was being grown etc. Very special!
Although this is a high end spot, the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. The menu was inventive and delicious. The presentation was outstanding. Our one problem was the miniscule portion size of the appetizers. One scallop cut into four and spread across the plate seemed a tad miserly, given the high prices... By the end of the meal, I felt satisfied but my husband was feeling still a little peckish. Still, if you want to sample local foods, fab flavors, and entertaining presentation, this is the place.
Awesome experience. Super friendly staff and food is delicious.
It is always special at LH. The service is excellent and the menu options are always intriguing. A phenomenal wine list that will rival any Michelin starred restaurant. It isn't cheap but remarkable experiences seldom are
We had to try Langdon Hall because it is on the Top 100 restaurants in Canada! It did not disappoint. We were able to have a quiet dinner in the garden in ideal weather, with a wonderful server who provided lots of information about the Inn and garden. Scallops were delicious, delicately poached and with expert seasoning. The lamb and the chicken were both fantastic and accompanied by fresh local vegetables. A great treat on the way home from our vacation!
My wife and I attended for dinner on a Sunday. Our first experience and it was sensational. Each dish was well thought out, clean and incredibly tasty. There was not one speck of food left. Amazing dinner and fantastic wait staff. We will be back.
This experience (lunch)was all we hoped for . The food was delicious & varied and well presented. Wonderful ambience - eating under a canopy tree on a warm June day was memorable and reminded us of Feance.
Delightful service and attention to detail was impressive!
Did I mention the food was delicious.
To be repeated,
John & Sharon
We had an amazing time at Langdon Hall. Four of us got the tasting menu and three of us enjoyed the wine pairing alongside the courses. The service was excellent and friendly, the sommelier was extremely knowledgable and helpful, and all-in-all, a perfect evening in a beautiful space. Definitely worth the drive.
I had a lunch with a friend immediately after my friend's flight landed in Toronto.
Everything was so fabulous that I don't have much to say, but borrowing words of my friend,
"I've already tasted the best meal in Canada, so I won't be craving anything until end of my week long vacation in Canada."
The food, service and location were all truly exceptional. Thank you to Chef Jason and your staff for a remarkable and memorable experience.
